  • I’m an old man so there will be many that can ride this board with the 5’7 dims and have no problems. This is just a review from an older surfers perspective.

I just got a 5"11 it feels big think need to size down some. It almost feels the board is so weird the rails catches on steeper sections, but also the widest board I have ever ridden so that could be some of it adapting to the board.

Yeah when I had the 5’11 I didn’t like riding it on steep drops. Kept falling for no reason. But on softer days it was a wave catching machine. I’m on the 5’9 now and it’s pretty 🤩

Hey hey well done on the 5”7
I have a 5”9 which I am getting use to
I always put the rear grub screw in my FCs box
Front is hooked in and with the rear grub screw in I have never lost a an FCS fin
    Keep you the blogs
    Cheers from Australia

Awesome tip man! Will def be putting screws in next session. These fins expensive. The 5’9 dims seem perfect. Hope to pick up a 5’9 one day. 🤙🏾

I’m 45 and just rode my 5’6” seaside for the first time and also have trouble getting used to it. Maybe it’s all the volume up front that I need to be farther up on the board. I only surfed an hour tho so maybe I need to give it more time.

That’s pretty impressive trying the 5’6. I’m sure you will get the hang of it 🤙🏾. I’m at 5’9 currently and it’s perfect for me

I’m 5 11, 165, I have a 5’6 Seaside. It is totally a performance board, just a fishy (hybrid) one, look at the tail it’s pulled in not wide like a real fish. I find it’s not a true groveler due to the narrow thin tail. It’s a fast board and can do small waves great, but it needs waves w a little push and cleaner conditions. It’s bad in soft waves and chop. I find it can take off at a high angle down the line. Cheers man

Howzit 🤙 Did you have grub screws in the boxes? I have FCS fins in all my boards and even though they say the system is tool less, I still put the grub screws in. I still almost lost a fin as my leash nearly pulled the fin out after a wipeout. Had the grub screw not been there, it would have been gone. Got a 5’2” seaside myself and it’s so good!
