Two videos in a month :) Sorry there's no proper datalogging overlay on the hot laps, there was an issue with the logger, and the fact we only had 3 hours due to weather instead of an entire day, meant we were somewhat rushed. A huge thank you to Gordon Shedden and Dunlop for making this video possible, and if you have any questions or feedback, I'd love to see it below. I always do my best to answer all comments :) Next video should be even more exciting, so please do subscribe and give it a thumbs up if you liked the content.
Tyre Reviews I still say you are having too much fun (without me being there)! Hey, I know... look, it will be my 60th birthday in a couple of weeks (Sept. 16th - same day as B.B.KING, Lauren Bacall, and Marc Anthony), and since I've been relegated to living in my 1999 Dodge Ram Van 3500 (after being wrongfully evicted from my home of 42 years in 2012) maybe you could find a way for me to join you so I could give the audience what it's like to be on a track from the "every day Joe" point of view.... just a thought from foggy San Francisco, California -USA.😉 On a serious note, I thought this video was both informational, as well as fun to watch. It was interesting to see your reaction of being flooded with adrenaline and dopamine after you saw you track time Must have been a wonderful feeling. Gee, at my age I think I could use one of those! What fo you think?
Tyre Reviews what tyres do u recommended for my 05 wrx I currently have uniyoyal rain sport 3 there decent enough n a good price at £57 each however I hate how they feel like jelly on the side walls, I have coilovers n bigger anti roll bars etc so just the tyre feel feels like it's rolling when it's not, thanks 👍
Man you're doing good work, everyone needs to know that good tyres make such a big difference. A few years ago I didn't know that, bought an old MX5 with mismatched tyres of low to mid budget. After a couple wore down I got 4 matching Hankook Ventus Prime 2's and I was completely blown away the level of the grip the car was now capable of! Tyres are the first thing everyone should buy to go fast.
Lewis Biggs I had a customer of mine who had a rover V8 in a Lotus 7. He used to run it at track days and needed road legal tyres. He had tyres on it that he was told were the best for track days and he had never been able to get off the line in 1st because of wheel spin. We put some Dunlop Direzza Star Spec on it and he said it took just on 2 seconds off his lap time of a 3.2km track. Tyres make a massive difference.
John, you’re a mighty hand! 1.1 and 1.6 seconds behind one of the world’s top drivers is hugely impressive. I very much enjoy you videos, please keep them coming, I’ve been after proper tyres journalism for 20 years.
The rt2 is a perfect mix between daily driver and performance tire. I always feel very confident trowing my car around corners both in wet and dry with these.
Interesting to compare the times you and Gordon are getting to my own around Knockhill. I'm getting around 1:03:500 from a 211bhp mini on cup2's. No diff, and down on power compared to the civic... suspect I probably can't make that car go much faster :) Would like to have had a shot against Gordons time in this car ;)
Great content! I’m sure your channel will grow tremendously with more cheap-car-tyre comparisons (as in tyres on smaller sizes, 17/18 inches and below, for lower end cars). Can’t wait for whatever you put out next!
Great video mate, I always enjoy learning more about tyres. I am opening my first Tyre store in couple of months and would love to see a video from you comparing high end tyres from different brands especially Bridgestone. Cheers
Great video Jon! And it's really nice that u picked an unique perspective, while the RUclips is flooded with car reviews these days. Keep up the good work!
But it's important for guys who does go to track day once awhile. So you definitely have a market with a group of core enthusiasts. Potentially it's even better, that you are free from the boys who's always claiming one car is miles better than the other, while they might not even own a car.
I enjoyed that video, did he do a lap in the red car aswell with race tyres on to see how fast he could go ? I just ordered some Michelin pilot super sport 4 s for my f30 alpina d3 I hope they are the bees knees . What do you think ? Should I have gone for something else ?
All 4 time are in a table during the conclusion :) The Pilot Sport 4S is the newest performance tyre on the market, and winning all the tests currently, so I think you've made a good choice. Check out our other videos for a full review!
Hi the tyres don't make that much difference in that it indicates that you are actually very modest you are a very very good driver yourself to get anywhere near the same times let alone beat them I bet you Greg Murphy would have bald tyres on that car and still beat most drivers with gd tyres so I think you are a very very good driver mate
Liked it very much man... 😊 Still a small channel, but seems like a very promising one I was actually impressed it's a small channel, because the quality is of a big one Congrats! Keep up the good work!
Nice video - I was torn between PS4's and RT2's for my 200ish bhp A4 Quattro Advant a few weeks back. The Dunlops saved me £100 on a full set and tbh they are the best tyres I've ever had on a car and I'm very please with them. Not sure with 200bhp atm I needed to go as extreme as the PS4's so pleased with my decision and this kinda confirms what I thought.
I went with the PS4s for my Volvo 850 (211hp) and the amount of grip is insane, in both dry and wet conditions! I had some old Pirellis as my previous tyres. What was your old type of tyre, and how does it compare? I'm trying to figure out whether or not I should go for the new PS4S or maybe these Dunlops…
I have no doubts the PS4's probably edge if not by more then that beat the Dunlops. Before I had Maxxis Victra's with reinforced sidewalls these were OK but the Dunlops are night and day better, much better feel, grip, noise and comfort. With the Maxxis in the 8 months I had the car I had to replace 2 due to poor seals or whatever but when I got the car one had a slow puncture and when taken for repair because of the sidewalls I didn't notice the slow flat and damaged the tyre - was starting to see the same on the front and I wanted to swap to a better all round set. The cost of 4 225 45 18 Dunlops was £352 fully fitted vs £450 with the PS4's and Kwik Fits tempting bundle! (Freebie bits inc Bluetooth speaker, umbrella etc...) Maybe getting back to the Dunlops on how I find them - I think I'd need much more power (it's on the way.....) and hard prolonged use to find their limits on the road when not taking the ****.
Hahahah that satisfaction face and moment you express there is just speechless and might have been a ton of stress but also a ton of fun and when you realized you were faster I guess satisfaction and adrenaline pumped in, well done! :D
Great and very helpful video.. I am thinking between 3 tires: the maxx race 2, the maxx rt2 and the Goodyear Supersport.. I have the Astra j vxr and i drive it mostly in Summer weather and sometimes in the light winter weather ... I am interested in adout driving feeling and very best corner grip.. Also i usually drive it at mountain trips and a couple of times of the year in the track.. What do you suggest about the 3 of the choices?
Got a civic FK2 myself and I am about to go trough the first set of tires after lapping the nurburgring 7 times and I am still debating witch one to choose. I dont dislike the continental sportcontact 6 that is on it standard but I do use the car for daily driving as well and I do notice in the wet they kinda are shit to put it blunt :) I was thinking about the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S XL as a next tire as I heard they are better in the wet and get more miles out of the tyre and give the same level of grip as the contis in the dry. But having seen your review on these Dunlops I might even consider giving them a chance. I would go for the RT2 cause the race one seems a bit to overkill for a daily car witch will do more circuits ofcourse but dont want to buy a second pair of rims for just circuit tyres. So do you have anny suggestions Jon ?
Hi Alex, You can see my thoughts on the PSS vs CSC6, then the PSS vs PS4S in other videos. Looking at tests the PS4S and CSC6 have similar wet grip, with the PS4S edging it in the dry. Wear seems to be the biggest difference between the two. The RT2 shouldn't be overlooked. Without checking, I'd imagine it's quite a lot cheaper than the PS4S, so might deliver more for your money. It really did suit the CTR.
And yes you are correct the RT2's are about a 100€ cheaper. So do you think the wear on them is on a similar level as PS4S or is that a bit hard to say ?
I found the contact 6 are good in the wet for me, strange. Though as a daily they dont last long at all, forever changing my tyres so some harder compound tyres would be useful.
Great tyres. I drove previous SportMaxx model on my A1, Falken Ziex after that, and going back to Dunlop is such a pleasant experience. Much softer side walls, doesn't feel like I am driving 18 inch wheels. Low road noise, performance is alright (can't say I feel much of a difference with 180 HP, maybe in braking, which I haven't tested properly). A3 is probably more comfortable on SportMaxx 18's than A1 was on S-Line 17's with Falken Ziex. Once again, thank you for this video!
Nice vid! Been lucky enough to have tuition from Gordon in the type r before, great guy!! Can you do a comparison vid on the best road legal track tyres please
Tyre Reviews looking forward to it, should be just about worn through the current toyo's in time to go on your recommendation! (please consider smaller wheels too... this is to go on a clio 172..!)
We did more laps on the Race than the RT2, so couldn't give you any sort of meaningful comparison. One thing I was impressed with was checking the RT2 after a solid number of laps and them still looking surprisingly fresh!
I've ordered a pair of SportMaxx RT2s for my rather average Focus. It came from new on Pilot Sports (not sure which generation) but I've gone for the Dunlops as there's a big price difference from my local tyre shop, as long as they're in the same ballpark that'll do like!
Iv try tried loads of decent tyre make on my ep3 civic type r and the Dunlop rt2 out right best hands down can go just as fast in wet as you can in dry give you loads of confidence they do wear quick I go though 4 tyres a year but worth every penny
Tyre Reviews it will be good to see the supposedly more track orientated A052 against the more street friendly AD08R. Interestingly the A052 is 200 treadwear but the AD08R is 180? Means the A052 classifies for most time attack sprint series... !?
TheWolvesCurse I run the tyre reviews website which has a lot of influence in the UK market, so I know all the right tyre people who are happy to help :) I'm really hoping this video pushes the subs over 10k!
Hi! PLEASE! I wonder how SEMI-SLICKS act in water in COMPARISON with ROAD tyres around a track. I ask it with caps because I can't find any information about this. Please make a video! Btw I love your videos! And could you ever test the Nankang NS2? I own them but I don't know how good they are next to other performance tyres. Thanks!
I think your doing something great with these videos, I’ve learnt quite a bit with the few videos I’ve watched, I’m building a track day car currently, I’d like to be able ask your recommendation in the future, cheers
dunlop sport maxx 050+ is japanese flag ship tyre in max performance summer. direzza dz102 (latest) & direzza dz101 are in ultra high performance summer category. i sell them. tyrereviews is really great. thanks
Excellent video as always. Although, I have to ask as to why you didn't do the laps in the same car and just swap the tyres over? Although, to be fair Shedden did set a time in the red car too. As a future idea, how about doing a feature of how a road-legal track-day tyre copes with being used as every day rubber? As lots of people seem to be doing this in the summer months, even though summer days in the UK aren't always nice and dry! Also, to add to the list of race driver excuses, it's fair to say that you weigh a fair bit more than Gordon Shedden. Gotta be worth at least another two tenths. ;)
Great point on the weight, how did I not think of that! My preference was to swap the wheels between the cars to rule out any car difference, and is certainly how we usually do it when testing tyres of the same category, but sadly we were VERY tight on time, and having two identical cars makes swapping between the two much more time efficient. Regarding the video suggestion, I'd just fitted some Cup 2's to my daily M3, and will be reviewing them soon against the PS4s :)
Did you find much of a difference between these two tyres with initial take off? Launching a FWD car with high power is pretty much a tyres nemesis, I'm curious to know if 'track' orientated compound and stiffer sidewalls assisted at all (or hindered) this?
I bought budget tyres and I am not so happy . Hope to be able to get racing tyres next time . Do you think it’s ok to drive racing tyres for every day use?
Tyre Reviews if you're ever on the north east coast of the USA. I'd love for you to take my 13 Camaro ZL1 for a track test. It has Toyo proxy r Triple 8 R, all around.285/35/20 front, 305/35/20 rear stock sizes. Car is Auto, retro Fab cold air induction and the proxies. Other than that car is stock. A little over 600 hp to the crank, and I'm guessing 500 to 520 to the tires. Offer stands indefinite. ✌️
Looks like the Sportmaxx Race is worth 1.8 seconds for both drivers over the RT2, on this very short track. It's very impressive that the RT2 is that close!
I liked this test. I have a suggestion. Many tire buying enthusiasts buikd classic/vintage cars like bmw 2002, alfa sedan and the Datsun Z car. These tires dont have the extreme tire companys racing tires In their sizes. What about a test on great tires for the classic/ vintage car guys . most have up graded everything so they are sort of modernized. I always like watching your videos .I like watching chris harris videos , your up there giving great information and fun to watch.
Next video: can you lap the Nurburgring in this Civic Type R faster than I can lap it in my GT-R, considering I am a tenth of a driver and a tenth of a man.
To be fair to myself, every time I've jumped in a car at a competitive event I've been at the right end of the grid, and Knockhill is a very short lap which he knows very well so it wasn't a slow time!
I always do my best to answer all comments :)

Johny Jackson Yokohama ad08r
I was searching for Dunlop SportMax RT2 tyre reviews and never found one from you. Instead, I found a whole dedicated video for it wow.
I know the tyres are good, but that was well driven too. 👍
Quiller95 thank you :) plenty of time left in me and the car, I just need more time on the track!
Man you're doing good work, everyone needs to know that good tyres make such a big difference. A few years ago I didn't know that, bought an old MX5 with mismatched tyres of low to mid budget. Sort of, big brakes come in high on the list. But I understand what you're saying..
Those plans on future videos about wheel mass, different diametres etc. are great, cant wait!
I'm super excited to be filming them!
I like this guy. Very specialized.
Thank you!!
John, you’re a mighty hand! 1.1 and 1.6 seconds behind one of the world’s top drivers is hugely impressive. I very much enjoy you videos, please keep them coming, I’ve been after proper tyres journalism for 20 years.

I've got it! Feels faster, this is the lap! (Goes slower)
Damn it, I made a mistake, stupid John! (Goes faster)
+Rennie Ash it was a long day :)
The rt2 is a perfect mix between daily driver and performance tire. I always feel very confident trowing my car around corners both in wet and dry with these.
Glad to know a dedicated tyre review channel exists!
There has to be one :)

Thanks for doing the hard yards and putting these videos together on what can be a complex and confusing subject for many.
+Andrew Hall Thank you for the positive feedback :)

Amit Singh good luck with the tyre shop, and keep an eye on the channel and hopefully I'll produce what you're after soon :)
Great video Jon! And it's really nice that u picked an unique perspective, while the RUclips is flooded with car reviews these days. Keep up the good work!
Thank you :) Tyres aren't very interesting, but I'm trying my best to make them at least a little bit engaging!
But it's important for guys who does go to track day once awhile. So you definitely have a market with a group of core enthusiasts. Potentially it's even better, that you are free from the boys who's always claiming one car is miles better than the other, while they might not even own a car.
I am very glad I ve discovered this channel. Interesting and fun comparisons but very technical and rigorous.
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you :)
Great video, very useful as always.
Thank you, as always :)
Excellent. Would love a video on tire width (using same brand/model of tire).
Good news, we're due to be filming that exact video in June :)
I enjoyed that video, did he do a lap in the red car aswell with race tyres on to see how fast he could go ? I just ordered some Michelin pilot super sport 4 s for my f30 alpina d3 I hope they are the bees knees . What do you think ? Should I have gone for something else ?

Fantastic video n great guy!! 1 sec from the world champ. That puts you in world top 20? You are too humble mate!!
Haha thank you!
Can't wait for your upcoming planned reviews!

Liked it very much man... 😊
Still a small channel, but seems like a very promising one
I was actually impressed it's a small channel, because the quality is of a big one
Congrats!
Keep up the good work!
André Nogueira thank you! Ps I love bug bro
CarAndMechanical really happy you're pleased with your choice
(Freebie bits inc Bluetooth speaker, umbrella etc...)
Maybe getting back to the Dunlops on how I find them - I think I'd need much more power (it's on the way.....) and hard prolonged use to find their limits on the road when not taking the ****.
Hahahah that satisfaction face and moment you express there is just speechless and might have been a ton of stress but also a ton of fun and when you realized you were faster I guess satisfaction and adrenaline pumped in, well done! :D
Thank you :)
Looking forward to the future vidoes, sound very interesting :))
Me too!!
Excellents . . . Stay Frosty.
I dont dislike the continental sportcontact 6 that is on it standard but I do use the car for daily driving as well and I do notice in the wet they kinda are shit to put it blunt :)
I was thinking about the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S XL as a next tire as I heard they are better in the wet and get more miles out of the tyre and give the same level of grip as the contis in the dry.
Hi Alex,
You can see my thoughts on the PSS vs CSC6, then the PSS vs PS4S in other videos.
Might go for the TR2's then thanks for the input Jon you are verry kind
And yes you are correct the RT2's are about a 100€ cheaper. So do you think the wear on them is on a similar level as PS4S or is that a bit hard to say ?
I found the contact 6 are good in the wet for me, strange. Though as a daily they dont last long at all, forever changing my tyres so some harder compound tyres would be useful.
If I get to run at Nurburgring I would get a street set of tires, and another set of tires like hankook rs4
Amazing video! Congrats and keep pushing.
Thank you :)
Awesome stuff!
Please keep doing stuff Like this 👍👍
Thanks :)
I was considering SportMaxx RT2 and Falken Azenis for my A3 8V. This video helped me decide.
Cheers!
Let me know how you get on with them :)
Isn't he good! Certainly working on that sort of video, keep an eye on the channel!
Tyre Reviews looking forward to it, should be just about worn through the current toyo's in time to go on your recommendation! (please consider smaller wheels too... this is to go on a clio 172..!)
New to the channel and only watched a few videos but this sort of content is excellent. Keep it up!
Thank you sir :)
Hi Jonathan! A total fan! But how is that there is not a final interview with the touring car champion!!??
Sadly Gordon only had limited time for us on the filming day due to other commitments. He's a great guy though!
Tyre Reviews What a pity!! I would die to see his face after your laps!
Very nice Video! Great stuff on your channel. A comparison about track tires would be great.
Definitely in the pipeline. Love the 4C btw!
Great video as ever. I image the road based tyres also looked more the worse for wear than the track focused tires afterwards?
We did more laps on the Race than the RT2, so couldn't give you any sort of meaningful comparison. One thing I was impressed with was checking the RT2 after a solid number of laps and them still looking surprisingly fresh!
I've ordered a pair of SportMaxx RT2s for my rather average Focus. It came from new on Pilot Sports (not sure which generation) but I've gone for the Dunlops as there's a big price difference from my local tyre shop, as long as they're in the same ballpark that'll do like!
I'm sure you won't be disappointed, let me know how you get on :)
Iv try tried loads of decent tyre make on my ep3 civic type r and the Dunlop rt2 out right best hands down can go just as fast in wet as you can in dry give you loads of confidence they do wear quick I go though 4 tyres a year but worth every penny
Great video, what an experiance that must have been.
Thanks, this is one of my favourite videos :)
Tyre Reviews can you do the Yokohama AD08R vs the New Yokohama A052 please?
Robbie Roche I'll speak to yokohama :)
Tyre Reviews it will be good to see the supposedly more track orientated A052 against the more street friendly AD08R. Interestingly the A052 is 200 treadwear but the AD08R is 180? Means the A052 classifies for most time attack sprint series... !?
how can you make this kind of quality videos with less than 10.000 subs? are you in the tyre/racingbusiness?
TheWolvesCurse I run the tyre reviews website which has a lot of influence in the UK market, so I know all the right tyre people who are happy to help :) I'm really hoping this video pushes the subs over 10k!

And could you ever test the Nankang NS2? I own them but I don't know how good they are next to other performance tyres. Thanks!
There's a video on this. Ps4 vs 4s vs cup 2
This channel should have more subscribers atleast 100.000
+andre christian thank you, working towards it the best I can :)
I think your doing something great with these videos, I’ve learnt quite a bit with the few videos I’ve watched, I’m building a track day car currently, I’d like to be able ask your recommendation in the future, cheers

Much appreciated :)
"Yup"
+CK_32 I asked Gordon to be short with his replies, he's a top chap. I mean, yep
Regarding the video suggestion, I'd just fitted some Cup 2's to my daily M3, and will be reviewing them soon against the PS4s :)
i bought the RT2 based on this video, hope i don't regret it.
They're great tyres :)
btw , Great job on the video and its content.
Thanks, let me know how you get on with the RT2s :)
I don't have anything to compare it with because i chanced the rim's and tyres to a new size.
Did you find much of a difference between these two tyres with initial take off? Launching a FWD car with high power is pretty much a tyres nemesis, I'm curious to know if 'track' orientated compound and stiffer sidewalls assisted at all (or hindered) this?
It's been a while since the test, and I didn't do any launch tests, sorry. They both held traction in 1st gear when warm.
Great to see how tyre pressure in rear make car.like audi rs3 oversteer so more pressure in rear than front am thing 😊
Great review.
Another great video
I would love to know how much wider a top level street tire would need to be to run the same times as a narrower hoosier A7.
good job sir
Thank you :)
Lesson learned, when a race car driver tries to sandbag you with a full tank of fuel, it's only fair you remove the spare wheel to even things out.
that is an excellent video
I bought budget tyres and I am not so happy . Hope to be able to get racing tyres next time . Do you think it’s ok to drive racing tyres for every day use?
There's another video on the channel covering this. In short, no. Get a decent UHP road tyre like the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S
They make a difference trust me me and a friend own both a megane rs he has semi's and i dont ... there's a big differce !
Dunlop vs Michelin on the Nissan GT-R
Jocose_Jikininki way too specialized even though I'd love to!
Great video, subbed :-)
+Blue ICE amazing, thank you
Excellent . Good Go Mate . . . .
Thanks :)
What does this video say about the skill of Shedden and the touring cars???
+BMW threethreefive well over a second across a minute lap is a huge margin, and I'm sure Gordon had more time in him. Plus, I'm not slow!
Gordon Shedden aka Pippin. I am a fan!
He's great!
Great video you talk to us not down to us great job..
Thank you for the kind comments
Tyre Reviews if you're ever on the north east coast of the USA. I'd love for you to take my 13 Camaro ZL1 for a track test. It has Toyo proxy r Triple 8 R, all around.285/35/20 front, 305/35/20 rear stock sizes. Car is Auto, retro Fab cold air induction and the proxies. Other than that car is stock. A little over 600 hp to the crank, and I'm guessing 500 to 520 to the tires. Offer stands indefinite. ✌️
Appreciated, thanks :) Sounds like a fun car!
A better test would be the same driver, same car, different tires.
You can see times the end from both drivers in both cars and tyre combinations (and both cars were identical spec)
Tyre Reviews but still same driver and exact same car would be perfect
Looks like the Sportmaxx Race is worth 1.8 seconds for both drivers over the RT2, on this very short track. It's very impressive that the RT2 is that close!
Not a typical Honda guy said 0 for the car :) not hate just saying :) I always hit like before I even watch and than watch ofcourse.
Is the sidewall damaged on the tyre near the rim ?
Time?
Yep!
YEP!
You need to do some laps at Croft!
I'm not arguing :)
I liked this test.
I have a suggestion. Many tire buying enthusiasts buikd classic/vintage cars like bmw 2002, alfa sedan and the Datsun Z car.
These tires dont have the extreme tire companys racing tires
In their sizes. What about a test on great tires for the classic/ vintage car guys . most have up graded everything so they are sort of modernized.
I always like watching your videos .I like watching chris harris videos , your up there giving great information and fun to watch.
I'll add your suggestion to the to do list :)
50 liter x 3/4 tank x specific weight gasoline 0,7kg/l = 26kg...
Well, I can't argue with that :)
How fast is Sheddon with the RT Race?
If I recall about a second on me
Can we have a michelin pilot 4 video in depth .
Great video 🤙🏿👌🏿👏🏿
Thank you :)
yep
Adam Andersson yeeeeep
Anyone reckon he sounded like he won some kind of award or championship? 😂😂
Interesting but I find the main reason for track tyres is that they can do more laps without overheating.
Fastfishracing it's certainly a massive plus
Which is better Dunlop or Michelin? 🤔
It depends on what tyre you're looking at. Michelin currently make the best tested UHP tyre.
Tyre Reviews my focus really is best performance in the wet. Had some kumho ecowing, dry performance good but not so good on d wet roads 😓😫
Michelin, Conti or Goodyear :) check out the tyre reviews website for full details
you been doing those bicep curls haven't ya ;-)
Next video: can you lap the Nurburgring in this Civic Type R faster than I can lap it in my GT-R, considering I am a tenth of a driver and a tenth of a man.
No. Yes. Maybe! LET'S FIND OUT PLEASE!!
This video needs a V10 R8 on 4 space savers, in the wet ;)
+jabiqq now that's a plan!!
Race car guy is a cool dude.👍
Shedden is a legend!
CTR FTW
Good tweet.
Nice pedalling 👌
Thank you :)
These are still for sale in 2023. for $158.00 Still any good?
This video gives me good feeeEEEEeeeeEEEEEeeeelings
Floaty window feelingssssss
YEP!
Yep!
You don't need excuses, you very nearly beat him on the first attempt.
I'm sure he wasn't flat out, Gordon is so fast!
Yea I did find that strange, he should have gave it his usual 100% to make it a fair test though lol
To be fair to myself, every time I've jumped in a car at a competitive event I've been at the right end of the grid, and Knockhill is a very short lap which he knows very well so it wasn't a slow time!
Bridgestone re003? Best street tyres hands down.
+geza96 sadly it's not a tyre Bridgestone retail in the uk
Tyre Reviews no way! I have always used Bridgestone on my cars when I realised that you must put the best tyres you can afford on your car.
+geza96 I'm glad you're spending good money on tyres, they're so important :)
This also shows the difference between a professional racing driver and a normal driver
He is hardly a normal driver
The exhaust note of that car does not match its extreme styling.
+Nico Trice it actually sounds fairly good inside for an unmodified stock hatch! Outside is a bit quiet
This would be interesting if he was forced to use winter tires vs full on race tires
Congrats mister, awesome videos, great job. You got a fan here!
Awesome :)
the blue-ish car is a race car?
the difference would be even bigger in that one...
Nope, the blue car is identical, it's just wrapped :)
Ever thought about arranging trackdays?!
Nope, there's plenty of good companies doing a good job already :)
These Dunlops sound like jack of all trade tyres which is a combination that famously fails. Part road, part race. Part wet, part dry.
+BMW threethreefive there were two different tyres featured in the video...
