- EDIT: It's been brought to my attention that some people are in fact getting batteries with their radios, but others still do not include batteries. I have noticed recently that some product listings for the Radiomaster Zorro do now include batteries. I would urge you to read the product listing carefully if you are thinking about buying one. Mine was a pre-order and the product listing was clear that the standard radio does not include batteries, however some sites are bundling the batteries in with the radio now. This is not a review or a recommendation video, I bought this with my own money because I wanted a smaller radio to fit in a bag for days when I can't (or don't want to) take all my FPV gear with me. Just throw in a bag with my DJI Goggles and grab a plane or quad.
Every Zorro video that was released by all the well known reviewers showed that this radio came with batteries inside. [see edit above] All except CurryKitten who rightly pointed out that they're optional extras.
I decided to put this video up, showing that it doesn't come with batteries, just so people know they need to buy some 18350 batteries in advance so they can use the radio when it arrives.

I got the elrs on 2-2-2022, no cable, bracket, or screen protector, but did have batteries and sd, love this radio, just wish it came with case like the jumper!!! Also got jumper T-pro elrs, too slippery, sent it back.
Could you post a link to the product page you bought it from please? Mine was a preorder of the radio back in December so perhaps they're selling "bundles" with the batteries included now that it's on general release. thank you.

Another datapoint... I purchased 2 Zorros last week and received them on Friday. They both included batteries.
That's very interesting... could you please post a link to the product page you bought it from? I know some places are selling "bundles" with the batteries included, but when you look close it's actually the same price as a radio without batteries, plus the price of batteries. Thank you.

Product description tells you no batteries
Yep, that's why I ordered my batteries locally, before it arrived, I preordered in December, so my decision wasn't based on any of the review videos, hence why I read the listing properly.
Unfortunately there are people that don't read the item listing, but instead just go by what they see in a review video and follow the affiliate link in the description.
I just wanted to show what a "normal" person gets when they order the radio, not someone who's been sent one for free, plus some optional extras.
Do this batteries fit well? I saw on one forum, that flattops doesnt touch the "+" enough
The cells I bought (link in description) fit perfectly, I've had no issues with not reaching the + end. 👍
I feel left out these days as a pincher lol
I can fly pinch or thumb, but prefer to thumb. I tried pinching on this and it's really awkward to hold whilst trying to pinch. It's 100% designed for thumbers.
where did you order it from? most places I checked are still 'pre-order'.

Nice review... Could you please measure the stick travel when the stick travel is set to max via one of those little screws. I would be really grateful if you could report that back here. Thanks.
With max travel set (it comes like that by default), I just measured the distance between the top of the stick at each side to be 33mm, hope this helps. Thank you 👍

@@EnglishTurbines yeah maybe... My daaan car has just cost me too much money and is about to cost too much money in the coming days... Might have to see if the silly parallel battery configuration in my Nirvana will power the module as money for me is about to get tighter than it already is, if that's possible!?! Hmmmm my car might be destroyed... Not by me but by a garage, and I'm pretty sure there's not much I can do about it either. Don't ever give a car to yobs to fix... They'll use quarter of a tank ragging the 5h1t3 out of it, tell you they were wheel spinning in 3rd gear in it and will deny it if you try and take it further!
What Mah size battery you went with? Is the protected type needed?

Does it feel a quality tx like a Tango2 Charlie?
I've never had a Tango2 in my hands, so I can't compare. However I've owned the original Taranis X9D, Taranis QX7, Jumper T16 and Radiomaster TX16S. To me this really does feel like a quality radio, pretty hefty and solid feeling, doesn't feel plasticky and hollow.

I've had the tango since original pre-order and think the radio master feels like a quality transmitter not because the price but just in general very happy with it. The jumper t-lite felt cheap but I still liked it

Can you buy some locally to you? I put a link in the description to the ones I bought, they work fine. But not sure if they're available in your country.
Hahaha all the videos i have see they say no battery includes. Pleace send me thath video they say battery IS include.😳
I will admit, since making this video some people have pointed me towards other videos that do indeed mention that the batteries THEY were sent, are optional extras.
Videos from some of the bigger channels that had the Zorro much earlier, simply showed what Radiomaster had sent them, and in those videos when they opened the box for the first time, the batteries were already installed in the radio. Unfortunately there will be some viewers that might think we ALL get those extras if we order a Zorro.
My intention here isn't to bad mouth any particular channel. I had been having some discussions with friends and people on a few different facebook groups over whether the batteries were included, mainly because they're such a strange size of battery and they wanted to know whether or not to bother finding some before buying it.
I had preordered a Zorro back in December so I said I'd let them know when mine arrived, so they were better informed, and only to show my small viewer base what you really get in the box if you're just a normal person actually buying this.
Thanks for your comment, and I hope you landed on this video because you're interested in the Zorro. Let me know if you're thinking about getting one. I would recommend it for sure. Not just as a "beginner" radio, but for a main radio that is very capable. This will be my daily driver just as soon as the weather clears up and I'm able to get out flying.

Lol you reviewers you get shipped free stuff from company's and then complain because it didnt come with batteries or bells and whistles 😂
I bought this with my own money.
I made this video because those reviewers who DID get them for free are too preoccupied trying to keep the manufacturer happy, they didn't mention it comes without these things.
