Not watched it yet, lets get 2042 finally put in a box and forgotton about, As a console player I sincerely hope they give us crossplay as an option that we can select instead of us having to hope every entire console user in the world has gone online at the same time and turned crossplay off.
It's been known for years a hacker can take a game on a windows based platform and make a programme that users can inject into that game that will give them an aimbot and essentially cheat. My question is, Can a hacker repeat the same process with such ease on servers that are cross-platform?
My 2nd question is, If the above is true, have DICE deliberatly implented crossplay into this game with a placebo crossplay switch in order to protect it's PC community from the plague of hackers that have infested former titles in the franchise? Is this going to be a thing in all future titles?
I used to play battlefield on PC and part of the reason I started playing on console was too many hackers on PC and I'd grown tired of spending years having to occasionally upgrade my hardware.
I'm actually happy their putting this one to bed and mildly optimistic for the next one, but if it's another subliminary politically woke outing set in a post "New World Order" progressive globe where women fight alongside AI robot's for a world without nations or patriotism I won't be buying that bullshit either.

Then it came back at like 80-90% of its own glory in bfV. I still remember the 2 hour long round I had before they added a timer to the mode in bf1. Got nearly 3 service stars for a weapon in one game. I miss service stars

Frontlines was in BFV until they removed it. Using the British AA tank in frontlines was OP especially as it acted as an one man operated IFV

That was frontlines. Conquest assault came with the Turning Tides dlc.

Why are they bringing back Frontlines for a limited-time event instead of making it a permanent addition to the game?
Frontlines should be a staple in all future battlefield games. I wanna see next battlefield actually put some new gamemodes others than the main 2. CTF or something new.

For the map review video, it would be actually great if you could also indicate what game mode your review is based on for each maps, since while they are all the worst maps ever in the franchise, some of them play quite differently (flow, campy, vehicle spam, etc.) in different game modes.

Frontlines is my favourite mode of all time in any mp game. Shame it's on Bf2042, a game I refuse to play.

People will probably still play it. People still play Battlefield V.
People play BFV because that’s the better game. Newcomers play 2042 because they don’t know the real battlefield game, unless someone shows them the statistics of player count. You will figure out very soon that 2042 is the worst of all. That’s why BFV GOT ANTI CHEAT after 4 years of being cancled. Because they know most of the playerbase will play BFV/BF1 or BF4.
So if they are planning to release the next bf game in late 2025, does that mean that there's gonna be like a year+ of literally nothing? Cuz late 2025 is like 1.5 years away from now.
It honestly fucking kills me that they spread content releases out.....like.......its not special, just release it all at once. Drip fed content is as stupid as Armored Warfare loot boxes.
And map selection in 2042 is just sad, theres what? 10? There needs to be like 20 at an absolute minimum and anything more than that is great, cant go wrong with alot of maps, even if they arent all top tier, its sometimes fun to play shit maps just for a change of pace.....

They really gonna end this game without giving all the portal content to all areas of the main game.... We deserve portal maps in breakthrough, and the rest of the guns in the base game. I haven't used the M98B sniper since literally the first month of release in 2021 cause portal is just that dead, and no one hosts BF3 specific servers with low enough ping.

I suspect it may have been originally _intended_ as a vault weapon - but like the Haven / Arica Harbour remix and Stadium being just a discarded section of the original Hourglass map...... EADice just scraped the bottom of the barrel for anything already existing they could sprinkle a little glitter on and pass off as new 'original' content, given they were going to pull the plug on the game...

Instead of putting Frontlines in 2042 they should go back to BF 1 and make front lines for the Russian and Apocalypse DLC maps bc it’s lowkey the best game mode but only playing it on base and French maps gets stale

Frontlines is a fan favorite? I was under the impression casuals hated it bc it allows good players to steamroll more than other modes. Also, less vehicle spam. Always was my favorite bf1 mode but good luck finding a server anymore.
What the hell happened to domination? Still remember dice claiming there were too many have modes in BF5 to fill servers so they scrapped domination. Instead of being honest and saying there are not enough players. This may come as a surprise to dice, but not all of us enjoy running 7 miles just to have a bomb dropped on us from a plane. I'm an infantry only player. They need to bring back that have mode in next one because generally deathmatch sucks, especially in bf2042 because you can't blow up any buildings so it's a boring camp fest
