Thanks Mark. There are a lot of videos out there that just say start MSFS. No explanation how to do that. You clarified the relationship of these applications, not to mention needed settings. You are a lifesaver! Thanks for the level of detail you offer.

Also depending on one's computer hardware, that "SnapDragon Super Resolution" upscaling seems to work well, I have my settings set to "high" and use that upscaling and it seems to work well on a Ryzen 5600x CPU with a FTW3 3080ti. I can also go into SteamVR settings and mess with the per application video settings up up or down the SteamVR resolution until I get good results for both clarity and performance. :)
Great vid. Thanks. New VDXR 1.29.4 Beta is brilliant BTW. Problem with getting the XR Toolkit menu up but developer aware. Hitting up to 60 fps depending on the environment but never below 50 - was around 44/45 previously. 4090 & i9 13900
Virtual Desktop XR (OpenXR) is great, that video that is coming out next week. I'm running Pico4, Ryzen 7 5800x3d, and RTX4070ti, and running OpenXR bypassing steam gave a noticeable performance increase. Will likely be a godsend with us non 4090 users. On Ultra in virtual desktop, TAA 100% render scale, other settings on high and ultra in MSFS SteamVR: 20fps VDXR: 38-40 fps Could probably even push godlike if I lowered all the ingame settings but found a middle ground I like.

Maybe I am misunderstanding, but to use VR on PC you need to have your PC hardwired into your router ?
For VD you need it, recommended generally for VR as it provides best strength and stability of signal.
