Turn the jar upside down and knock the edges of the lid against the countertop. I can sometimes hear the seal break, but it's much easier to open after that.
I would get the silicone cupcake liners from Amazon since you already have cupcake pans. You can insert them like the paper ones, and they don't take up a lot of space. I store them in a quart size storage bag.
They also stack nicely into a cleaned out kr-ft pntbtr jar! Re: use: What i found is tho after a while the “muffin” can still stick to the silicon liner- so they still benefit from a light swish of oil or -the more times i use them the more time they need scrubbing.
I was watching the live video and I lost it 😢😢😢. Shelly, I hope you will continue putting out more simple healthy recipes for us. I’m loving your recipes ❤️.
Thanks for the delicious 😋 breakfast ideas. Everything looks so good. I appreciate 🙏 your demonstration of in the kitchen. Iwill pickup some mushrooms today. 👋
Turn your jar upside down and slap the bottom a couple time that make it easier to open, or try to run real warn tap water over the lid then turn it, both make jars easier to open. Have a great day.
Pop the bottom of the bottle and get u a rag and u should be able to open that top, might take a couple times. I know things have been getting a little more difficult for me to open lately but I am 52 years old now but normally u can pop the bottom of those jars and the seal usually will loosen
For hard to open jars, hold the jar sideways, almost upside down so the contents move towards the bottom. Then take the heel of your palm and spank the bottom of the jar a couple of times.
I'm on the fence when it comes to the silicone muffin tins. I used mine one day for egg muffins, the next day I used it for meatloaf muffins, and then the following week when I made egg muffins again I noticed some flavor transfer. I've also noticed after a couple of months of use they aren't so nonstick anymore. I much prefer my ceramic muffin tins.
Silicone works but, it seems to hold odor like onion etc My tin muffin pans seem to stick even if I spray! Maybe its me LoL. Thanks Shelly Jennifer 😊😊 I put a paper towel in freezer bag so they don't feel like slime. I know its not but it freaks me out.
Dont get silicone muffin trays...get silicone muffin cups instead. I have about 6 sets in different sizes and shapes and they take up a tiny bit of space. I use them in both the oven and air fryer. Also, get an EVOO refillable oil sprayer (not a Misto) to save so much money. Sure wish my diabetic would eat these breakfasts, he cant stand egg bites or anything quiche-like. Ill try the yogurt parfaits for him though. Thank you for the ideas.
Ps, our Kroger affiliate is too expensive but there are local chains that are better. I buy a gallon of milk and make my own Greek yogurt. Bonus is the 2 quarts of whey you get from the process.
Shelly Sweetheart, I love your videos, recipes, tricks & hacks. But it's hard for me to watch your videos with the non-stop repeats. You repeat who you are, which you've already told everyone at the beginning of the video. Your Name & the fact that you're a Dietitian is the name of your Channel. I watched a video where you repeated who you are for every recipe. It just gets annoying hearing you say this 4 times throughout the video. I know you recorded each recipe at different times. Some recipes with you saying the exact same thing with the exact same recipe ends up in multiple videos. Just record "Hi there, I'm Dietitian Shelly" on its own and only put it at the beginning of every video. Now, any other info added is great as long as it's not repeated more than 2 times throughout the video would be great. Please & Thank you! 😊
Love your ideas but the editing needs some work. I know i don't need to hear you mention about normalizing chopping, silicone muffin liners and you not having fancy kitchen gadgets.
I am so excited about this video! What recipe (or recipes) will you be preparing for your diabetic meal prep???!!!

Yah! I am so excited!!!
Run the jar lid under hot water for a while. It always works. Sometimes you have to do it twice. The heat expands the metal lid.
I need to try this!
👍👍 them all good😋 ...breakfast ideas😍

Low Oxalate recipes next? I love your recipes! 😊
I am putting on the list! Big hugs!

Nice❤❤❤❤, not a mushroom eater, but I will swap with spinach.

Wow! Looks good!
Thank you thank you!
It’s Silicone for baking pieces. Silicon is the tech area in the Bay Area.
Ha! Thanks!!!
A jar gripper will open those stubborn jars. I find them very handy.
I need this!!!
Try an ordinary, old fashioned bottle opener. Just go around the edges to release the vacuum seal.
Thank you for the fabulous tip!!!

Great tip! Thank you!
What is your thoughts on ricotta?
It's fine! I just typically don't cook with it!

Hi!! I am so happy to have you here and thank you for the tip on the silicone muffin cup and sprayer!
You make in the pressure cooker?! I have a friend who does that and loves it!
Hi Shelly
Hey!!!
Tap the jar edge on a counter, it will help loosen it
Yes! Thank you!!!
Hi! I miss oatmeal. Can we eat oatmeal?
It really depends on your carb counts allowed in the day! Download my free menu in the description box for various low carb cereal/granola.
Pop the bottom of the bottle until you hear it pop. Then you can open it.
Love this! Thank you!
I love my silicone muffin tins.
Ok! Good to know!
The silicone muffin tins are not that great. They have a tendency to fold when they are full, yes even when they are half full.
Oh thank you for letting me know!!!

Chopping food to the same size helps cook it all the same. So you saying it’s no big deal, it is. Some won’t be cooked and some will be.
I totally understand what you’re saying! I don't like to make folks feel bad!
