Hi Shelly, I had to completely give up fruit and veggies. 8 months in on carnivore down 95 lbs Now my inflammation is completely gone. Every time I had veggies I would suffer from oxalate dumping threw my eyes! Plus my knee would swell up and hurt like a bugger! to the point walking was difficult, so while doing the BBBE challenge they were eliminated then everything subsided with my knee. I like veggies but veggies don’t like me back also my energy went through the roof losing a pound or so a week I also found while doing this diet of elimination I’m also sensitive to dairy I use cheese and cream which I use sparingly and started doing lactose free this also made a difference I stopped sugar alcohols which stopped my diarrhea. I will continue on with the carnivore way of life. It works for me. Being healthy and pain free why would I stop

Oh, me too, where the fruits are concerned! I called it my “justified overeating!” I just watched the video, Shelly, where you talked about watermelon. You got me on that one. I have a 25 yr older dtr. I'm trying to get her off carbs and sugar, a habit. A lot of times she keeps away from bread, but times she'll have it, me too. Rice (a staple in Hawaii) she's okay not having that, me too, most times. I see it as a craving habit. You craving sweets? Then ask yourself, are you hungry? No? Then don't eat. Go do something else and next thing you know, It's an hour later and you forgot about the craving. The old sayings, mind over matter or it's all in your mind or be mindful of your choices. Yeh, easier said than done. Got anymore cliches that is true? Intermitted fasting of 16 to 18 hours works for me. Lost 4 lbs in 2 weeks and without exercising. Arthritic knee limits my mobility, but the losing of the weight is making it easier just to walk. My goal, get my weight down and get back on the water, paddle boarding. This is funny. I'm just under 5 feet, and my dtr is five two too.

Artificial sweeteners do NOT agree with my stomach or my body as a whole. I think I have tried all of them and it either gives me a killer headache or nausea, stomach pain, bloating and gassiness. I have stomach problems anyway. I also am a Kidney stone maker, just had surgery this past December for a couple that were too big to pass so I have to watch the oxalates in food too. I'm not a diabetic but my A1C was 5.3 last Sept. and last Friday I had it checked again and it was 5.6 so I'm heading to pre-diabetes and it's so hard. One food helps one thing and hurts another. So aggravating and frustrating.

IIrc, allulose is something I have read that has a laxative effect (like diarrhea) if you take too much of it. Depends on reaction by each individual. I have had it happen to me, when I use that liquid Splenda multi-use syrup. So I backed off on the amount, limiting to about a tea/table-spoon per day I guess & it has not affected me since, probably not unless I take too much of it again which I dare not try again, heh. Not only am I taking these things as sugar substitutes because I might be prediabetic, but I have also been trying salt substitutes, like potassium chloride for sprinkling on food, to ease down on hypertension.

make my own yogurt. so so easy, I heat yogurt for 14 minutes in microwave, close to 200Deg, 180 best. I let it come to almost room temp. 120 deg, mix milk with half cup plain yogurt from last batch. I wrap it in a towel and leave in turned off microwave over night. I use a 4 cup batter bowl for my container. Next morning it is thick with some whey. I use it this way or I drain all of the liquid from it and make greek yogurt. I pour all of it into a bowl and use strainer. Put couple of layers of paper towel on top when it is all soaked, I replace the paper towel. I do this until the yogurt is so so thick. I o this a couple of times a week.

How much of a banana per day can I have. I make oatmeal in the morning and all I do is add one container or one scoop rather of protein powder and then a few a little bit of fruit always put in like half a banana of a small banana if it's a big banana put in a third And or I put in a little bit of apple with the skin on it or blueberries and strawberries, but not a lot like one strawberry cut it into thirds or maybe 4 or 5 blueberries but I have been using bananas a lot. I've been diagnosed as pre-diabetic but on the mild side, I'm freaking out ever since. I'm trying to do the right thing I love to eat bread, but I don't eat a lot of bread. I might eat one slice a day I'm trying to get low carb I don't know what kind of find a shop at Kroger mostly can you help me out? I also have thyroid issues so I've got Hashimoto's. Yay and I got to have a knee replacement I'm 68 I like the most and energetic and active person I know in my age group I move around and exercise all the time I walk every day I mean a lot I do a lot of different things and then I got diagnosed within two weeks of all this. I'm just so depressed over it all, I'm reading this your RUclips video which was six months ago. I hope you're able to answer me now I guess I'll find out. Thank you so much I'm not asking for a diagnosis just some good opinion and you sound like you know what you're talking about I really like it. Thank you so much and I'm not even 5'0 I am 4'11 1/2 lol 😆 peace ☮️ and take care I'm talking not texting. I also have muscular dystrophy that's why I prefer not to use my fingers anyway like I said with all this, and even before those diagnoses, I've been diagnosed with muscular dystrophy for over 20 years, but even with all those diagnoses I'm so active. I'm still walking. Haven't given it up. I just don't walk as fast because of the knee replacement thing and I'm trying to get physical therapy and I don't have to have it but I know I'm gonna have to probably have a knee replacement in the future anyway; the banana thing I'm a banana girl what can I say but I have really cut down and I try not to eat so much and like I said, I only eat a third of a large banana in my oatmeal or half of a banana if it's very small one. I also put in natural peanut butter in my oatmeal or sometimes Greek yogurt, plain Greek yogurt, natural nut butter for fat and protein OK I hope to hear from you truly take care bye-bye
