Bought one recently in UK: 14:14 GC3 is 80% more expensive here. No brainer. Pleased so far. Descent angle raised at Garmin as an must add. Was surprised the Garmin was reading club data with FS Quad stickers as Garmin use a one sticker in middle of the clubs for club data reading. Thanks for the review … hope the Rib-eye was tasty 😊
add in the Tiger Woods Launch monitor from Full Swing and see how crazy off it is compared to these.. it's also $5000. Unless they finally fixed it. Also, what I think will end up happening is some of the prices on the other guys will start to come down. These reviews clearly show that you don't need to pay $15k plus for a monitor to get the numbers you need. $3000-$5000 is the sweet spot.

Were the club stats accurate as well?
This had great reviews when it first came out and A LOT of misinformation was given by early reviewers. Things like "this has a PC built in and you do not need a separate PC" was the big one. That is only true if you use the built in sim. But to play GSPro, E6 or other 3rd party sims, you absolutely need a separate PC and will need a monitor or projector to see it. Also, I do not know if it has been fixed but early units had a disaster of a time with putting and either had complete misses or could not get the angles right. People were moving to some camera based options with software overlaying the Garmin to get it to work Not ideal for a $5K LM. Again, don't know if they fixed it with a firmware update or not but that was a huge red flag. Would love to see you guys test this with GSPro next.
It is definitely on my wish list. I am waiting for my Mevo+ Limited to sell on eBay and then I will be purchasing the R50.

That’s what you get! Stop being left handed. You should be embarrassed. Clean that ink off your forearm and learn to do things with the right hand.
The Uneekor systems are incredible for the $. You need a computer but who doesn't own a computer these days? Great video guys

You need a computer with the R50 as well if you want to play a sim like GSPro, E6, TGC.... Only the built in sim can be played without a computer.
I thought the R50 uses a single dot at the top middler of the club to be able to measure club data. You only had markers set up for the Foresight. Is the R50 able to read club data accurately with club markers in positions other than recommended or was your club data compromised?
Can you use FSX play on garmin?
Try putting...that is where it falters. Not to say they will fix with future updates. And you can't compare courses on Gspro and home tee hero!
I have a GC3 and hardly use it. I hate having to set everything up for it in the garage. If I had this I’d probably use it more as it’s less to set up
I have a gc3 set up in an upstairs bedroom. What do you mean with the set up? You mean connecting it to a computer? Cause I just have mine connected to the computer with an ethernet cord, and then the computer is connected to a projector. Unless you're talking about just using the screen/launch monitor, but in that case The GC3 doesn't really need a computer/screen, if you're just looking for ball/club data.
Has anyone tested the foresight to foresight hawk/gc3. The numbers are probably slightly off
Personally I’ll just spend the extra 1,500 and get a Protee VX. I’ve done tons of research on the R50 and it’s not for me… plus if heard the customer service isn’t exactly the best for the R50… I think they’re overwhelmed with all the issues it’s had… plus I’m not much of a fan of having to bend over every shot to align where I want to aim…
It’s almost impossible to hit the r50 with a shank. If you do hit it, it’s impact rated up to 80mph ball speed, above the speed of a shank. You are MUCH MUCH more likely to hit a GC3/4, Eye Mini, or Square with a shank.
Have had my gc3 for almost 2 years now. Started off as a 25 hcp, have shanked many a ball. Never once did any of them even come close to hitting my LM. You'd have to pretty much hit it at 90 degrees. But if you are that afraid, they do sell protective cases for it. Seen them on amazon, been a while since I looked though.
