Sherpa is so well-behaved & sweet. He has definitely been to more different places & historical sites than me. Lucky dog. 👍🍀🐶 Love him. 👍🐶❣️ Thank you for sharing this video with us. 👍🇨🇦😊
Breathtaking View Indeed!!! So Many Beautiful Sights!!! Love All of Grand Lord Sherpa's Unique Adventures!!! Good Tidings and Stay Safe From North Carolina.
You two go to the most beautiful and interesting places. Love the history you get to see and how wonderful Sherpa is always welcome to with and well behaved
Every stone so precisely carved. Even in ruin they stand as an awesome glimpse into their times. Thanks for the glimpse into your castle and abbey travels! The architecture in England is just amazing! The skill of the workers stands the test of time!
The Abbey is beautiful. What cool artifacts. Love historic sites. Thanks for the adventure. Sherpa seemed to enjoy the excursion also, specially howling in the hallways.
3 words WOW WOW WOW what a beautiful place & in regards to the money I believe it belongs to Sherpa because if he hadn’t wanted to climb over that wall you would never have found it 😊💜
Jamie, what a beautiful, stunning, special place the Abbey is. Thank you for sharing it with Sherpa and all of us. I swear, Jamie, that every time you take Sherpa to a religious place, it seems to me that Sherpa feels the divinity of the location.
When you see how tall some of those walls are you can’t help but admire the work that would have to go into it. No steel scaffolding, no machinery and such amazing stone carving that you wouldn’t be able to fully appreciate from ground level. Sherpa behaves brilliantly as well, a real credit.
Imagine what that place was like back in the day, with the monks farming and raising livestock and working. I'm sure the had pets and maybe even some puppies as charming as Sherpie!
Gorgeous abbey, thanks for going and sharing, guys! So glad they admitted Sherpa and were warm and friendly towards him. I esp enjoyed the self-guided tour, so you were able to best show us the abbey's surviving features and the artifacts. Looking at those "grotesque" flying buttress elements, Paganism was very much alive and well in the Church's architectural symbolism. Can't imagine how much hard work and skill went into making the text elements look so graceful. Phenomenal stuff. Well done, boys! So when does Sister Sarah join you for another outing? Bright blessings, all.
This was a wonderful day that you’re sharing with us. So glad that they allow dogs to go in too. I love all the history that you get to see. Enjoy your adventures! 🐕🦺💙
That is amazing! Here in the US, the thought of something being almost 1000 years old is incomprehensible. I can't believe how much is still standing. Thank you for sharing your adventures as well as your beautiful boy.
Just dirt mounds. Maybe some stone structures and foundations on the New England coast left by Vikings and Irish monks, maybe even Templar’s? But yeah, unfortunately nothing close to this
I can only imagine the absolute beauty and grandness of this place back in the 12th century … to be able to see this place again… after almost 25 years! It brings tears to my eyes watching you walk through here…
Another hit for Sherpa's Guided Tours ❤⭐. The Abby is amazing! Awwww - Sherpa looked pawsitively reverent 😇 there for a moment, sitting quietly with Abby 🎶 playing softly in the background. 😌 🙏 😀 Toooo cute.
Watching on December 11, 2024 11:04 pm, remembering Sherpa, and supporting Jamie. The trees and the entrance to the Castle Howard were so beautiful! The pheasant made me laugh- the quail here do the same thing, and will run down the middle of the road for quite a long time. The Abbey was huge and breathtaking! I bet it was really magnificent in it's prime. The museum inside was really neat, but Sherpa was bored stiff! I bet Sherps could have figured out some nice treat to buy with the pound you found... Rest In Peace sweet Sherpa- watch over Jamie until you two are reunited at the Rainbow Bridge. 🌈🌈🌈
Had to have a bit of a giggle, as sherp was having a chat my cat just gave me the dirtiest look on his face saying your not watching Sherpa again on utube!!!!😂😂😂😂
When we were in Britain in 2012, we spent a few hours in the morning roaming around Castle Howard, then headed to Rievaulx Abbey for the early afternoon. If I had known how much I would love the abbey, I would have booked us a room in the village there for the night so we could spend longer, but we could only be there about two hours before we got on the road for Newcastle. I understand your comment about your camera battery wearing down-I took soooo many photos on mine! I would love to return to the area, spend more time in York itself, see the moors, and go back to the abbey. It was so peaceful, even with the tourists. I loved hearing the river and the sheep while walking from the lot to the grounds. It’s funny-I recognized the road to Castle Howard as soon as you approached that first gate, and I also remembered the parking lot at the abbey!
Jamie, that's an amazing place with so much history and what a beautiful day you both had to visit; so lovely to photograph ... I would go nuts there. FYI - as a history fan I love these adventures of yours because and yes, I do love you capture those plaques which allow me to read what I am looking at. I also photograph the town/park/church and other places of interest with a plaque to allow me to remember what I was visiting on that particular day because after 2-3 weeks on my tours it gets very challenging to remember when I am back home and have nearly 30k photos. Sherpiieeee, you look so adorable posing everywhere and whenever your hooman wants to take your picture. I love how you look with interest and pause to admire the scenery, you must be the most cultured doggie in RUclips ... I love you Sherpiieeee and I thank you for these adventures.
I'm so happy you can get back to your travels again! I enjoy these virtual mini tours very much. I still think you could do a book of all the photos of Sherpa in front of these historical places- "Lord Sherpa's Guide to Historical Great Britain in Pictures". Thanks for sharing these videos.
I love old castles and churches but we don't have anything like this in the US so it's always enjoyable for me to go along on your adventures, and I can't imagine you'd be allowed to bring your dog over here. I might have to move to England so I can take my dog on adventures.🙂
Thank you for a lovely day out Jamie and Sherpa. I'd love to know what Sherps smelt on that wall; he homed in on that spot like an arrow. Right, well! All down to the Chinese for chicken balls. 😁 💕
I simply ADORE when you take "photos" of Sherpa and we get to see where they are taken! This place was lovely. Thank you for bringing us with you on your tour with Sherpa! And hey, it wasn't fair to ask if Sherpa was bored! He looked VERY interested. He's a GOOD boy! And you owe Sherpa at least a pound's worth of chicken balls! And I really adored your conversation with the ducks. That was delightful.
Wow what a hugh Abby and historic as well 👏 Sherpa is such a good canine visiting the Abby!!! Sherpa is your very good friend Jaime we can see this!!! Love to hug Sherpa!!!! Take care 🙂 Joan and Keith Bates ❤ ♥ that stone step is older than anything here 1500s, Wow!!!
Jamie you seriously got to top asking Sherpa if he is going to behave 😜. He loves his hoomans too much to not talk to them. Jamie thanks for the outing, how gorgeous, those walls going to the cathedral, and then small towns, gorgeous. Thank you.🌹👍
No, noo! A well-educated gentledog like Sherpa never gets bored in museum. What are you talking about, Jamie! Thank you for showing us all those descriptions, this place looks wonderful, I make sure I go back and read all of them.
As a history nerd these videos are fantastic, thank you and Sherpa. We don’t have that deep history here in Kansas, there is a Native American cemetery a block from my house but it’s “only” from the 1800’s
What a beautiful place, you’re truly blessed to visit and take-in this gorgeous place. Sherpa is such a good boy, he’s a lord and knows how to act amongst such greatness. TYFS, I love seeing these places with you both♥️💫✨👼🏻✨💫♥️🐾🐾
Ah, it's England at its best. The lush green, the lovely ruins. And dog friendly too! Love being able to travel vicariously. Thanks Sherpa and Jamie for showing us the lovely sights.
Amazing historical site I'd love to visit, yet I keep noticing the blue sky. The blue that day was stunning. Speaking of color, Sherpa's coat matches the stones perfectly. Interesting oddity that you're often visiting older stone sites that matches Sherpa and Nook is often in a beach setting that matches his coat. Wonder what he was treeing at 15:56, he even moved to the side and looked up at the same spot again. The site would be lovely in the snow.
I think these old ruins are beautiful, especially the story behind them is always very interesting. It's nice to see something like that. Thanks Jamie️, Sherpa was really sweet and good again 😊❤️
Lovely Abbey, one of the few I've not visited in Yorkshire before. You must visit the Yorkshire Dale's, West Yorkshire, particularly Bolton Abbey which has the River Wharf running thru it and lots of other lovely places in that County!
Wow & wow again. You wasn't exaggerating Jamie, it looked beautiful in its own stunning way thanks so much for showing it & sharing your interests. Of course Sherpa is a great poser, it's almost as if he knows he is a world class super model, of the canine variety ! What's next, ....Sherpa's calendar to put up on my fridge (or wall), ... so cool. 😁😁😁🐶
Sherpa is such a good buddy companion, so patient, and so handsome. Lightens my load just looking at his face. Thank you, Jamie & Sherpa for this adventure...amazing , awesome abby.
I'm gonna have to save money to come across the pond and visit these locations..thanks for sharing your time, sherpa and the over all experiences brother... be safe and take care M8
Sherpa is looking really well 🥰 I love Yorkshire, it’s such a beautiful county, with so much history. Abbey’s and churches always amaze me, the building work and architecture just blow my mind Castle Acre Priory had elevated latrines as well, with a flowing stream underneath to take away the ‘byproduct’. 😁

Looks so lovely there :)
What gives with these nasties? GTH!

For a 11 year old Sherpa's eye and mouth coordination is amazing when it comes to catching flying treats.
Sherpa: "I sniffed out the coin first, dad! I get to decide how we spend it, either on a bunch of chickenballs and SSS, or ……for charity, of course!!"
The Abbey ruins were spectacular and yes very massive. Thank you for taking us along.
Thank you Lord Sherpa for taking me to visit this lovely Abbey. Parks worker, Miami.... and bless
Beautiful weather, beautiful surroundings, beautiful historic ruins and beyooooooooooootttiifuuuuuulll doggo. What more could a guy want?!

The bishops from centuries ago tossed the coin from heaven and smiled and said sweet dog man!
The Abbey is beautiful. What cool artifacts. Love historic sites. Thanks for the adventure. Sherpa seemed to enjoy the excursion also, specially howling in the hallways.
That one picture Sherpa looked like he had a halo on pretty amazing.
Sherpa photographed in historical settings would make a lovely coffee table book. "Sherpa's England". The thumbnail would make a great cover.
What a magnificent place! And to think it was all built by men with no power tools of any kind. If I had the means to go there I would tomorrow.
It's crazy and amazing isn't it
16:00 Sherpa is showing you the »latrines above« you couldn’t figure out earlier! 😂👍🏼

What a beautiful place. I love it when Sherpa introduces himself and says hello.
Love it when Sherpa says hello to people. You wonder how they built the Abbey, so massive and high

What a beautiful Abbey. You two go to such lovely places. We have our own Abbey in bury st edmunds, which was at one time second largest England.

Way things are going if there is an old church it's very locked up!!!
If you get to NY St Patrick's Cathedral is quite beautiful. Not an ancient ruin but a stunning cathedral none the less.
This was amazing. Sharing this day trip with you two was a joy. Hi from Oregon, USA.
Sherp looks so majestic next to the abbey!
