  • In this video I unbox a CSF racing radiator and provide a couple of installation tips I discovered that are unique to the convertibles. Also I discuss a possible time saving short cut for the dreaded factory oil cooler leak repair.

Hey good content. Thanks for sharing. I am in intrested in the big brake kit you put together. Did you do anything to the rears? And would like your help in knowing what I need specifically for the front. Which rotors and which other Porsche calipers will work with the e92s

The big brake kit used to be available from ECS Tuning. You could probably piece together that kit now by sourcing your own 19Z calipers. The rotors and calipers are probably still available through ECS.

About to get the same for my e93, if you have any good video that explains how to take out the old one can you post the link or put them in your description? Thank you!

Sorry but I don't have anything on the radiator R&R because this car has an aftermarket FMIC that isn't popular and it needs to be removed to R&R the radiator. Hopefully you don't have to do the same.
The mounting tabs of the radiator aren't exactly the same size as the OEM radiator so I "fudged it" a little and just centered the tabs as close as possible to the center of the hold down bolts.
Also the fan assembly needs to be removed first and that is a pain. I recall the shop manual saying to remove the fan from below and that might be good for you to consider. The radiator will come out from on top and so will the fan but that takes a lot of patience and rotating the fan assembly to get it out like a puzzle piece.
Good luck with your project !

@@ProjectsMB Did you get the 7046 or 7081? I have a 2013 and Im a little confused which one to get because I’m getting mixed answers.
Also, the fan is definitely a pain, I couldn’t get it out when I tried doing the belt tensioner. Luckily I was able to manage. Also how long did this take you?
Thanks for the advice and fast response!

How's the radiator holding up? I have an 335i E93 as well. Thanks for the heads up on the extra braces.

No issues with the radiator and if does seem to shed heat quicker but the running temp has remains consistent with the thermostat.

@@ProjectsMB Glad to hear it! I was concerned that this radiator worked too well and that oil would never get up to proper operating temperature.

@@cupompa that's never the case here in Southern California. It's 106 today so cooling the oil is of greater concern. Look into the aftermarket oil cooler thermostat I installed. That was a very good investment; I should do a review.

Thank you for showing 15 min of unnecessary content and leaving off reconnecting the power steering coolant lines!!!

I didn't cover reconnecting power steering lines because I didn't remove them to begin with.
