    This came up at my trial after an on duty shooting. The prosecutor alleged that I was a "loose cannon" who modified my glock trigger so I could shoot faster. Thankfully I still had the factory box that has the label showing I bought it from glock with a 4.5 lb pull. Same prosecutor alleged I was militant because I wore a BDU style uniform instead of class C's. Of course it didn't matter that I was a K9 handler and constantly running after the dog and suspects shredded my class C's. Liberals will say or do anything to make you look bad. Thankfully I was acquitted and returned to duty but later left law enforcement after the bitter taste wouldn't wash out.

      I know this is an old comment of yours but I wanted to add some thoughts. I am skeptical of prosecutes in general so often they are either elected officials or their boss is. Guilty verdicts are how they keep score and a high score looks good come election time. Next as you experienced are the complete firearms idiots typified by the two dolts in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial, I dont give a damn how many people certified that AR was not loaded still do not point a gun at anyone with your finger on the trigger.
      I know of no better system than a trial but a trial is not to me a search for truth and or justice. It is a contest between lawyers of who can evoke the strongest emotions in a jury. Facts and common sense be dammed. Example is you wearing BDUs.
      Things like the BDUs can be explained but a misleading idea could be planted in the jurors minds.

I tell them to picture the jury as though they're a bunch of rabid anti-gunners, and it was their kid you shot. Cause the last thing you need is the DA showing them pictures of you wearing a shirt that says "When In Doubt, Shoot Em Again".

      @@papimaximus95 you really don't understand that there are civil and criminal proceedings. The standard of proof in a civil proceeding is lower than criminal court and you can get hammered for negligence. If they can paint you out to be some "badass" who can't wait to shoot someone and runs around with t-shirts and decals advertising as such, then good luck taking your chances with your assets on the line. Ayoob is giving solid advice. It also goes to state of mind even in a criminal case if lawyers want to paint you as someone who can't wait to shoot someone to argue your use of force was not lawful.

    I love Massad. Everytime I listen to him I learn something new. I love how he gives legal arguments like he is in the court room. My question or statement is a standard Glock advertised trigger is 5.5lbs which in reality when tested is about 6.5lbs. I have a 4.5lbs drop in trigger bar and a titanium safety plunger which does not affect the trigger pull weight but the smoothness of the trigger pull. I believe my personal gun pulls at least 5lbs or just above which nearly everyone out there would still consider safe. My point I am making is that the advertised trigger weight is normally is little lighter than the actual pull weight since gun mfr's do not want to be sued. In my personal opinion if your actual trigger pull weight is within 1/2lbs of advertised trigger weight then you should be fine. Just make sure to follow common gun safety rules including don't place your finger inside the trigger guard unless you are going to shoot. Also make sure to get several days worth of extra training including things like deesculation, medical, force on force with evidence of course completion. I personally was surprised when doing force on force and shoot/don't shoot exercises how easily it was just to react and shoot without thinking when already stressed when someone unexpectedly jumps out of a doorway less than arms length in front of you waving their arms screaming for help. How you think you would act and how you actually act are not the same.

      "So Mr. D, it is your testament that you modify your guns to make it easier to shoot people, is that correct? On an average day, how many times do you think about needing to shoot people? Do you have plans or contingencies developed in your mind for these shootings you plan? Ladies and Gentleman of the jury, this man is clearly actively looking for any situation that might possibly justify his murderous blood lust. What might set him off next time?"
      Whenever you get the idea that you are more clever than the attorney who is trying to throw you in jail for the rest of your life, remember, you only have to make one mistake, say one wrong thing, or have one thing you said twisted into something else, and you lose. It doesnt matter if he loses, only if you do.

    This is an excellent subject . I'm going to contact Berretta to find out if putting a " D " spring in my 92FS drops it below the manu minimum specs . Thanks guys !

    • @gunfisher4661
      @gunfisher4661 4 года назад

      On mine it only eased it up very slightly nothing to brag about. It certainly won`t be considered a trigger job on a 92FS.

    • @Snubrevolver

      Be careful with the D spring. I ended up having a serious problem with light strikes. I completely bombed a competitive shooting match as a result.
      The amount of reduced trigger weight is minor. I wouldn't be concerned at all about deviating too far from the original specs.

    Also, don't use a "Shake Weight." They will say you made your hands stronger so the trigger will be lighter. It might go off in your hand! :)
