She pleaded guilty no contest and will be facing 25.5 years in prison. She currently is in her mid 50s. Her actions in the past have all caught up with her.
There's actually one other thing that this video didn't mentioned about Shawn. About a few months after he first retired from wrestling back in 1998, Shawn Michaels made a surprise comeback to WWF as a commentator for a short time. Then shortly there after, he became the new commissioner for the company (replacing Sgt. Slaughter) and remained in that position for at least a year until he got replaced by legendary hardcore wrestler Mick Foley in the year 2000. It's been said that during his short time as commissioner, his attitude towards the entire roster was still downright awful, and he was still abusing drugs (one of them being pain killers). Shawn's antics and drug abuse got so bad that even his close friend Triple H was starting to get fed up with his behavior. Their friendship with each other began to spiral downward when they began having heat over Shawn's issues. Luckily, they manage to repair their friendship shortly after Shawn became clean and made his second appearance as a wrestler back in 2002. Those two to this day remain the closest friends of all the WWE rosters and both still work for the company, even after hanging their wrestling boots up for good.
What you don't realize is that Marty and Shawn were in each other's presence 24/7, 5 or 6 days a week straight on average, and sometimes even more so than that, for many years straight. It doesn't matter how good of friends you are. Nothing really matters at that particular point. You're going to be at each other's throats.
Sure, if you're ego becomes more important than your friendship w/ said person. Which is what happened w/ Shawn & Janetty. It's not that Marty did anything to him particularly (that we know of), it's just that Shawn didn't see any value in staying tag team partners w/ Marty & thought he could get more success in striking on his own. There's nothing wrong w/ that last part, other wrestlers did it as well w/ great to good success (Bret Hart, Booker T, etc). However, the difference w/ those guys & Shawn, is that they didn't destroy relationships they held w/ their former partners in order to do it.
To be fair to Shawn, I wouldnt have wanted to work with Vader either, he was rough, and almost never washed his ring gear. No enhancement talent ever wanted to work with Vader it was not just HBK.
I agree. Yeah Shawn was unprofessional in the way he went about it but he had legitimate complaints. Vader was great but his smelliness and stiffness was an issue that also played a part in the lack of championship gold in his WWF run
'Why do you think he got away with it though?' Shawn was just that good, once in a lifetime wrestler. He knew he was the best wrestler in the world and nobody could touch him in the ring, with the exception maybe of Bret
Vince and Shawn had a father - son relationship. That’s why he allowed Shawn to act out the way he did. It’s also why he continued to pay Shawn even when he couldn’t work those 4 years he was in his first retirement.
It just happened. In his book, Shawn says that Vince was always another dad to him and they got close when The Rockers broke up. Vince was always higher on Shawn
@@marcusgurley9495 I thought the reason why Vince didn't fire Shawn what's because he was his most valuable asset for his company along with him undertaker bret Hart and the rest of the click until stone cold and the rock came into the mix weakening his backstage influence even with Vince

During the 90s, WWE had lost their biggest star, Hulk Hogan, to WCW. At the time, Shawn, Bret, Razor. Nash and Undertaker were the biggest star in WWF/WWE. These were a couple of before the rise of Stone Cold, Rock, Triple H, and Mankind.
@Rob_Thorsman WWF/E during the 90s was a weird decade. In the early 90s, you still had Hogan, Savage, Warrior, and Flair. In the mid-90s, you had HBK, Bret, Taker, and the rise of Stone Cold. In the last last part of the 90s, you had the attitude era and the Monday night war with WCW

The bad thing about Shawn in the 90s was that he knew EXACTLY how good he was. That's why Vince always gave Shawn multiple passes for how bitchy he acted in that decade
Why did he get away with it? Because he was the best. Not saying I agree with it. But even the guys that hated his guts. You ask them back then who the best performer in the ring was. They will all tell you Shawn Michaels or Bret Hart. And I don't even really think it had to do with money. Shawn wasn't the highest paid or even the biggest draw for most of the 90's. But he made everyone look like gold in the ring. Only other person I'd say was close maybe even a bit better during that time is Bret Hart. But Bret had a slower and more technical moveset. Shawn's was fast, smooth but still hard hitting.
An interesting video would be about the Monday Night Wars between WWF and WCW. Its a fascinating history that still has impact on wrestling today. The Monday Night Wars was a great time to watch wrestling. The 2 companies hated each other. WWF at the time would pre-tape their shows, WCW would spoil what happened so you didn't need to keep switching between shows.
I remember the Montreal Screwjob. It took Bret Hart almost 20 years to forgive Vince and Shawn Michaels. Interesting tidbit about Shawn Michaels is his real name is Michael Shawn Hickenbottom.
Marty fell really hard that night in the hotel. Vince didn’t give him a chance and he was placed on the lower card while Shawn was elevated up the ranks. That back injury screwed him up as he became addicted to painkillers. Shawn managed to get back up by finding religion but Vince just refused to put a title on Shawn for the stuff he pulled. Triple h did make him head of NXT as head trainer and Booker. It suits him better too.
Marty and Shawn had a feud over the IC title. Marty even won one of the matches and the IC title for a time. Marty had every chance Shawn had, he just wasn't quite as good (still better than most of the roster, though), and was even more into drugs than Shawn.
This is actually a true story. I think he dropped the belt to Steve Austin but Michaels didn't want to drop the belt cause he knew Bret would go on to get it but there was a moment where Taker said if he didn't drop the belt, he would have absolutely beaten him down, and during the match he sat in the gorilla position where Vince sits to keep watch over matches etc, Taker sat in the gorilla position and he taped up his hands and he waited for the match to finish, when he saw Michaels drop the belt, he untaped his hands and walked backstage. Even Taker genuinely hated Shaun back then because he knew how bad and toxic he was
Bret was gone from the company nearly 6 months prior to this. This was WrestleMania 14, which occurred on March 29, 1998. Bret was gone on November 10, 1997, one day after Survivor Series 1997 (Where the Montreal Screwjob occured). Michaels was faking his supposed "back injury" before WM14 though. He thought he could sit out and "punish" Vince McMahon to where Vince would beg him to come back, give him the belt, and pay him a lot more than the roughly 750k per year terms that he had just renewed his contract at. And if that didn't happen, he hoped that Vince would release him so that he could go to WCW and be with his butt-buddies. And Vince actually ended up paying Michaels his full contract money just so he couldn't go to WCW. And for the record, as soon as Michaels dropped the belt to Stone Cold, the WWF immediately began winning the war against WCW after losing to them 83 head to head Mondays in a row. Also, we know Michaels' supposed "back injury" was fake because the very moment that WCW was gone and Vince McMahon was no longer going to pay Michaels to just sit home anymore, SUDDENLY and MIRACULOUSLY Michaels' back was healed and he was able to come back and wrestle for the next decade straight as if nothing had ever been wrong with his back to begin with. AMAZING!

You HAVE to watch the full Iron man match (not what it sounds like, basically an hour long match with a time limit to see who can get the most pins or submissions on the other before the time is up), NEITHER one get a pin on or submit to the other until the very end of the match near the final seconds of the time limit if I recall. Or the match ended with neither getting any and Vince restarting it into sudden death (basically just a normal match) and Shawn gets the pin I think via rollup on Bret. It's about as technical and high-flying as you expect the match to be between the two if you know their styles. It's awesome.
PLEASE watch "Wrestling Isn't Wrestling". It's one of the best videos I've ever seen and is entertaining for wrestling fans and non-wrestling fans alike. It also has some strong tie-ins the the Kliq story.
I can remember watching both of them on Brutus "the barber" Beefcakes segment on WWE on a Saturday morning in the 90's when The Heartbreak Kid kicked Marty Ginetti in the face then put him through a window, saying he was glad to be done with him, I think that's when most of the wrestling fans REALLY started hating him, unless you liked the baddies in wrestling.
Every wrestling fan should know about the Montreal Screwjob. I highly recommend reacting to Dark Side of the Ring, the Montreal Screwjob episode. I know you'll love it.
According to shawn michaels. He looks back to those times and wishes he could have been more respectful to women(him and his peers) and that includes specially the attitude era
i always say if charisma had a voice it was the rock, and if it looked like a person it was shawn in the 90s. A big part he drew a lot of heat was because the guy was just a huge threat to any girl's man.
I got one for you. How about "Top 10 cases of Wrestler's Court?" by Whatculture Wrestling? Wrestler's Court was set up so Vince McMahon wouldn't have to solve every little problem 2 wrestlers might have with each other. The Undertaker was usually the judge, and he came up with some pretty creative punishments for backstage offenders.
Shawn's really come a long way since those turbulent days.... now he's the guy running WWE's NXT show! Now he has a chance to have younger talent screaming in HIS face now, lol! 😂 But yeah, I also want to echo that you look deeper into the Montreal Screwjob. In many ways, it was the incident that kick-started the whole Attitude era, since that was when Vince McMahon started to get more personally involved in storylines (despite the original screwjob itself being unscripted, ironically enough). Mind you, old man Vince isn't exactly a stranger to IRL scandals of his own making..... one of them forced him into semi-retirement just last year, in fact. It actually may come back to bite him again soon enough, since his business partners from the recent WWE/Endeavor merger admitted that he's a potential liability to the newly formed company. So there's a chance that McMahon himself could be next on the chopping block, after all those wrestlers that just got released....
Drugs and alcohol were a problem for a huge number of wrestlers during those years. Painkillers and alcohol were a common combo, then adding Cocaine. It's safe to say Shawn wasn't the only one ruffling feathers. Other guys were also taking steroids so it's not surprising that locker rooms were volatile. That does not excuse Shawn's insufferable attitude and actions, but it gives a wider view of the situation because this video made it seem like it was just Shawn and Marty or just The Kliq parting like that
A lot of men in the industry do love it and older school wrestlers did kind of live this rockstar lifestyle (they just weren't bullying douches politicking for their own favor backstage like Michaels was) because (I think Chris Jericho, who DID become a part-time rockstar lol, said it best on an episode of his podcast with Edge) - Paraphrasing HEAVILY: _"A lot of guys in the industry wanted to rockstars. Everyone kind of wants to be a rockstar and being a wrestler is kind of like that without having to be good at playing the guitar."_ Less so NOW with Vince caring about the PC/still semi-PG image he moved towards post-Christ Benoit's incident, but you best believe it was more like that in the 80s & 90s of the WWF.
Not sure if that will ever happen now since Shawn is in a promoter/trainer position in WWE /NXT and the Rock is big in Hollywood. Most managers in Hollywood frown on their clients participating in events that could potentially hurt them. Plus, they aren't young anymore.
It’s useless now. Both men are now old, specially Shawn. It should have happened back in 1998 or 2002-2003. Shawn wasn’t wrestling in 1999-2000 otherwise that would be the best time to do it.
It never happened, and it will never happen due to one reason: The Rock has always been 100% against it, and remains so til this day. That's because Shawn tried to use his political power and bury The Rock and get him fired when he was still just getting started in the WWF. He has NEVER forgotten it. It's that simple.

So ... sniperwolf and bunnygirl look the same person😮
Shawn Michaels was a beast in the 90s and early 2000s love the video Bunny girl Nation stay motivated Dream big 1 mill on the way
Vince lowkey was really in love with Shawn lol
Every wrestling fan should know about the Montreal Screwjob. I highly recommend reacting to Dark Side of the Ring, the Montreal Screwjob episode. I know you'll love it.
According to shawn michaels. He looks back to those times and wishes he could have been more respectful to women(him and his peers) and that includes specially the attitude era
i always say if charisma had a voice it was the rock, and if it looked like a person it was shawn in the 90s. A big part he drew a lot of heat was because the guy was just a huge threat to any girl's man.
that intro though 😄
I was all about some Shawn Michaels in the 90s with or without wearing much 😂
They didn't call Vince "Caesar" behind the scenes for no reason. The reason is that it rolls off the tongue much easier than "Messalina" does.
You can hate them love them but he is one of the best of all time probably top five possibly three
Please watch top 10 moments of Rey Mysterio
Shawn is top fav in the game of wrestling he new his next move so he get run at the title become who is now 1 at it
When I was younger Marty was my favorite out of the two😂
Shawn's really come a long way since those turbulent days.... now he's the guy running WWE's NXT show! Now he has a chance to have younger talent screaming in HIS face now, lol! 😂
But yeah, I also want to echo that you look deeper into the Montreal Screwjob.
HBK was a menace, especially in 97.
U should watch undertaker and mick foley rewatch hell in a cell match king of the ring 1998
Have you reacted to SuperEyePatch Wolfs quadrility of WWE Videos? They are so good and you need to watch them!
(Day 1)
another thing about the screwjob is that Hart was about to leave the company with the belt to go the rival company
Good reaction
Shawn michaels is the best
lmao sure buddy
React wwe female wrestlers owning each other for 10 mins
I don’t think bunny is emotionally ready to react to wwe Connor the crusher tribute video
Hbk was really messed up on drugs
The thing is Shane Douglas was actually a real good wrestler I think they were threatened by him in the beginning
He was saddled with a lame gimmick and that cannot be blamed on the Kliq.
A video i'd suggest for getting into a different type of wrestling is called: Maki Itoh - The Fired Idol by NeoJoshizzle
That documentary left out a TON of information. A lot of it seemed subjective and some things were taken completely out of context.
insightful commentary "uuuhhhhh oh no .... uuuhhhhh oh no .... uuuhhhhh oh no .... what?"
little by little, bunny is turning into a mark (one of us).. next, is a live event, if it coul be the royal rumble even better.
Im surprised you knew about kayfabe, good on you girl.
Day 2 of requesting a reaction to The Undertaker Vs Mankind ( hell in a cell)
Day 1 of asking Kane’s debut and first appearance
You should watch the Chris Benoit story
Mention#2 of a Scott Steiner's Funniest Promos Reaction
Please react to Roman Reigns savage moments but as the tribal chief
Do mjf from aew
Drugs and alcohol were a problem for a huge number of wrestlers during those years. Painkillers and alcohol were a common combo, then adding Cocaine. It's safe to say Shawn wasn't the only one ruffling feathers. Other guys were also taking steroids so it's not surprising that locker rooms were volatile.
That does not excuse Shawn's insufferable attitude and actions, but it gives a wider view of the situation because this video made it seem like it was just Shawn and Marty or just The Kliq parting like that
Didn't even know he offended The Rock to that extent
Shawn got away with all of it 'cause he was Vince's little f*ck buddy.
Worst kept secret in WWE history if you ask me.
So good ❤ videos
Day one of asking for (R truth being a national treasure for 8 min)
Please, react to WWE most ridiculous storylines/gimmicks.🙏🏼♥♥
You don't want my diagnosis
Wwe most disturbing moments 🐇
i’ll never hate this man idc😭
We really need a match between Shawn Michaels and The Rock at a _WrestleMania_ in the near future.
