How do you find your powerband on FM? Irl I drive high revving engines such as b18/b16 and 4age so in game I personally always try to get the highest rpm possible when I'm building a car since that's what I enjoy the most. The issue is I still don't have a visual of my powerband so I have no idea what shift point to use for the fastest times. Somewhat unrelated, my favorite car in game so far is also my personal vehicle Irl. AW11 MR2.

in past forza's there was a huge difference. this time around the gap has narrowed significantly, but you can still shift slightly faster when doing manual /w clutch, however there's a chance now that you will cock up shifts. if you're using a race transmission it doesn't matter. you don't have to use the clutch anyways no matter what setting
For the last race... it's either Subaru has the worst shifting gear or Grandma driving using manual transmission... and he shift the gear very early...
I hope someday I can rance with grandma, so I can compare his style of driving with mine.. I try to be so gentle with power pedal.. and look at him, is hammering it!
@@satriobeekrazy949 Yeah, neither GT or Forza get this car correctly, but at least seems kinda fun, I have moded it into some other racing game like Shift and AC with very good accuracy. Well at least more than these.
@@CraigT9864 I play on keyboard and mouse, and I find it about the same as FH5. However, the penalty system threw a wrench at me at first, but you adapt.
@@margui84 My problem is the crashes. You run a race, and select new upgrades. Then you get an infinite screen "Applying Upgrades" and Alt+F4. But the game only saves after you apply, when you reload your save, you have to practice and race AGAIN. Happens a lot... Uninstalled!
What safety rated lobbies are those? I played a lot of C class S/A rated lobbies this week, never seen top racers drive this badly. Usually top 3 qualifiers take top 3 places, as far as I’ve seen.
@@IsuckAtDriving you’re wrong, safety rating wasn’t taken in to account on launch, but the update supposedly fixed it. Now safety rating is definitely a factor in matchmaking

That's the optimal shift point. It isn't worth shifting any later because the engine starts losing power at high RPM.

Grandma uses keyboard to drive. So the throttle is either all or nothing. Hence the aggressive throttle movement
