- The Old Mulsanne Circuit of Le Man is a track where you will be putting everything on POWER! But more importantly, it needs to have very high top speed and that's where this 200mph Dodge Charger Daytona comes in. All power no handling!

Edit: The amount of people thinks I am on controller but I'll take that as a complement as this was on keyboard.
Edit2: The shifting you see is called "Power Shifting", a Forza quirk and the fastest way to shift in this game. Yes it is not pretty but it is the fastest method.
Edit3: Short shifting because the engine loses a lot of power at high RPM. This engine makes peak power at mid-range and the gear ratios is adjusted to maintain constant peak power.
Edit4: This is a video game, not real life and the game doesn't care about your real life driving experiences. It has it own quirks.

It sounds more like a 440 Magnum than a 426 Hemi, however the Tachometer points to it being more likely the Hemi.
I know i'd be sweating bullets if I had a 15 sec lead and someone rapidly closed the gap. Good race to both you and the S2K.
The S2K woulda even won, if he just kept his cool at the end! The difference is 0.04 if you don't count his last second Off-track penalty! Really an awesome race this was

That last second penalty was rough, I was so focused watching the gap I didn't even notice it until the scoreboard came up. Great racing!

The Daytona NASCAR top speed is actually 217mph when in straight line (it's called Bonneville Record)
And to me it's sad to see that almost no game features the Daytona racecar. They all feature it's street car which is cool, but the NASCAR version looks insane
No game has had the Plymouth Superbird either, which I like more than the Daytona
Edit: I completely forgot that GT had it all the way back to GT2...

Wasn’t that good control… he was always tapping the gas when he needed to just keep a constant throttle. He kept upsetting the car by applying the gas and then sliding

I'm pretty sure matchmaking is based on your skill rating first AND THEN your safety rating. Doesn't matter if that mfer is E, if he's 4900+ he'll be in your lobby
there is no skill matchmaking at all, you just get grouped to fill lobbys, if there was a matchmaking you would have different people on practice an then on race

@ It could be different or not, your level doesn't really matter that much. Think about this: an event starts in 20 minutes, and you join with 3500 points. If another player joins at the same time as you, it's likely that you'll be placed together. However, if another player with 4500 points joins the event with only 5 minutes left, they will be put in a group with available space, whether it's a group with 2000, 3000, or 4000 points. The system is based on filling groups; you can't make it balanced in that way. In a competitive game, when you use skill-based matchmaking, the group is formed just before the match or, in this case, the race, not 20 minutes in advance, because it doesn't work that way.
If matchmaking is skill based the parameters are pretty wide. I'm a 4,300 skill racer and Parked Panda is in my lobby almost every time.

You just have to start several events in parallel, and sort the people into them based on skill level.
Of course, it comes down to if the game's population is big enough to sustain such a seperation.

The fucking thing was built by NASA to kick Plymouth and Ford's asses, of course it's busted
There's a video by Vinwiki which does a good job explaining the nuances as to how the Daytona fun Superbirf came to be, and why they were banned after the '71 season.

Is it that special? The speed record for the Mulsanne Straight for non prototype cars is hold by a Porsche 935 with 367km/h (228mp/h) but the Porsche can actually corner and the thing was never banned.
@@Keckegenkai absolutely special cus again, It was designed by NASA's rocket scientists to hit 200 mph without adding much extra HP to the car, proceeded to dominate for as long as it was racing till regulations changed.
There's a reason why the Charger Daytona is my dream car.

and then it turns off when there’s a corner. then turns back on again when it’s a straight.
Problem with the games safety rating is ppl just ram n cheat all day, then set everything on auto and let it do its thing to get back to a s rating

Motorsports doesnt have ghosting because “ oh its a sim “ which Idk i woudnt mind ghosting in motorsports, it isnt a hardcore sim anyways so might aswell make it more user friendly
I did like 5 hours of testing with a friend online to see how the penalty system works.
1. If you hit someone when THEYRE on the breaks and THEY go off. You get penalized.
2. If you hit THEM while THEYRE OFF the breaks and THEY go off. You don’t get any penalty.
3. The largest penalty comes from remaining in contact while pushing someone off. It’s 4 seconds and lowers your rating immediately.
4. If you want to race and bump people, break early and tap late into the corner or you’ll receive penalties.
5. If you want to avoid being touched and also give the highest penalty to a bad driver. Always take the outside line when they try to pass. If they do bump you break and they will go off. If they don’t bump you and pass you, bump them as they’ll have to be off the breaks and it won’t give you an penalties.
Basically it ONLY penalize the bad driver if they also get messed up the crash. They can rear end you and keep going without any off track. They won’t get penalized.
Broken system. The person who breaks early get punished and the one who breaks late and shoves everyone gets zero penalties
An old xbox racing buddy of mine had a perfect grip tune of this monster. It was not uncommon to see this behemoth do 2:05 on a consistent basis on any track. Such a magical sight to see.

This has been a thing at Le Mans in Forza for years, very low grip muscle car with absurd HP tuned for top speed. Extremely fun
This really was a feat, trying to save those turns and hold the oversteering at high speeds with an S2000 on tow would make me lose my mind.
I applaud you for using highpower muscle car on keyboard. I wouldn't even be able to turn this well on a slower one.

I think he uses a sim setup. He does drive on keys but he states that in the video when he does.

Once I tried playing FM7 with keyboard. It was a lot tougher then FH4 and FH5, which I always play(ed) with keyboard. I bought Xbox-type of controller for FM7 and truck sim but I rarely use it.

I can see someone making a Hemi like this into a 200mph monster while still being in C-class, but I’m impressed that Parked Panda managed to build an S2000 capable of competing with this monster.
Well the daytona was literally made for this... first car to reach 200mph on track and was banned it think after the 71 season.

No it’s the game. Using controller without any parts mods on most the car’s transmissions, the game won’t allow a quick tap of clutch off gas and shift no matter how perfect you do it. Manual with clutch on the new game is different now, you have to do the whole process slow or it sounds exactly like how he’s driving and he’s probably doing it right just too fast for the game new bs redesign off controller clutch

That S2000 was a beast in the straights. The Daytona was made for a track like Old Lemans. My S2000 is tuned to B class, and it would have trouble keeping up on the straights 😂
Sacrificing handling for top speed is so much more fun.
I do this on as many tracks as I can for a better challenge. If I don't win then fine, but I've had a great time trying.
There's something so satisfying about fighting with others around corners only to blow past them again on the straights.
This is why I love the Daytona 👌

Finally someone who shifts properly. So many Forza youtubers just redline all cars because ''it's faster'' without ever checking where the peaks and falls are in the powerband. Some excellent driving too, especially knowing this is on keyboard

203 mph as C class just wow! But car is bad handling bc it seems hard to control and very slippery but the best for speed on this track :3
Car handles fine he just keeps tapping the brakes mid turn sending the car into an oversteer and then gives it too much throttle instead of letting the car gradually balance itself
@@fabi1951 I didn’t say well I said fine meaning what you would expect from a C Class car, oversteer is good on a tight track to get the car to rotate doesn’t help here every time it lost traction he lost time and momentum, drive the car within its limits and your own and it’s fine

What people don't understand, you can have a decent amount of power without the handling and still be able to control it at lower performance levels if you know how to be easy on the throttle and not just mash it constantly

Seriously good driving though, especially that first lap going from practically last to podium in one quick jog down the straight. That car, with its Nascar setup, was designed for that until it got retired almost immediately after and I can see why Richard Petty loved it so.
Bro when you press the clutch in to shift let off the gas then accelerate again, it avoids bouncing off the rev limiter and car shifts much smoothly
Haven't played forza in years but it was always quicker to not let off
It's sad that accessibility settings specifically made to help include players with disablilties are being abused for afk farming and padding safety ratings. Pisses me off.
AFK farming is fine, if the system wasn't so awful, people wouldn't feel the need to do it
Hours to level up.a car just to have fun with it is a joke, I love drifting which They also didn't even bother finishing adding properly, and have to max out a.car to make drift cars, it's a.complete joke and They did it far better in FM2, the devs might know that if anyone who still loved Forza was there anymore but They aren't and it shows, games a complete mess

Something just so nice about seeing a wing warrior showing the speed. Even if it's in digital form. Only downside is many will say it's just hax, no. Really, those wing cars really could throw down that level of speed. It's why they started the aero wars of the latter end of the sixties and start of the seventies. Reached speeds enough that they got banned for being too fast, on the super speedways at least, shorter tracks they were mediocre.

That S2000 was a quick little unit through the turns, pulled back 4 seconds in the last half lap :)
