Seeing you race this well on a keyboard leaves me no excuse to git gud on a controller, especially when this game is built for controllers.
I'm at 4.5k and sometimes S rated, but these A class lobbies have been rough so far. I've never been so tempted to dish out some revenge in my few races this week. Overtake? Nah, I'll just smash straight through you and not get a penalty... much easier, bro!
I'm at 4300 S Class and see no difference to the A lobbys. It's just the same.

I think people are getting fed up with the quirks of time penalties? For example, at 3:00 that IV7 guy would rather risk a collision than getting penalized for going off track. (for which you get 0.20s at 3:36 for narrowly avoiding a car pile-up!)
He cut the corner, that’s why he got a .2 sec penalty
They hate grandma drivers but not grandpa or great grandma drivers

Racing/sports game of the year.
It's not the a-class lobbies. It's the forza lobbies.
Still, gamermom and grandma driving looked to have some good racing going for a while in race 2. Like mother, like daughter.
Has nothing to do with racing. It's a toxic community growing up cause of disfunctional penalty system. I had a very clean race earlier that day, destroyed by one guy at the end. He rammed everyone in his way and only get 10 seconds penalty. It's a joke and Turn 10 does nothing against it.

Formula cars drivers have zero skill. Just like the boneshakers but when someone is consistent they crack under pressure. Even better is when you’re on sports that show u don’t racing tires and isad shows that in other videos. Anyone who drives a formula is non existent in my eyes in the race they ain’t shi

We need an update to split the lobbies badly. Too many low skill, low safety rated drivers in every lobby and it's ruining the game.
We need drive trough penalties and disqualifying much earlier.

its kinda funny because as a gta online gamer I can honestly say that the random gta lobbies are most of the times cleaner than forza motorsport lobbies lol

Weird, the only experiences I can recall from racing in GTA Online public lobbies are getting pit maneuvered at every corner, people driving in the opposite direction to hit you head first, people rage quitting as soon as they realize they're one corner behind and think they can't win anymore...

Altho i can understand why the confusion, its damn bad in Forza.
What i noticed about Forza players is that during races they have it in their heads when and where they need to turn to take the corner and wether there's somebody next to them or not, by god, they will take it. Think of the 'Family guy, asian woman "good luck everyone" clip

Formula Mazdas will either force you off of your line after diving into a corner, or understeer off track trying to pass from the outside. There is no in-between.

To be fair that’s most players in any car lmao that’s why I never take the outside line cause 99% of the time you get pushed wide or off track.
No but you see Formula Mazdas do it the most.
They think "oh my cornering abilty is far better then everyone elses," and then they spin out because they weigh nothing and clipped a BMW turning in at 114 miles an hour.
This cars should not be in this races. Earlier that day I saw three or four specialists in this Mazdas at LeMans. Intelligent choice on this track.

I feel your pain. I was looking forward to this class coming back too, and shocked to see the same level of asshattery that I saw in R class last week.
Most people can't drive but no single one of them - including the Rammers - has been stopped by this joke of a penalty system.
They don't care if they win races with 7 second penaltys.

Looks like all the shitty drivers went from FM7 over to the new FM. I still play FM7 and pretty much all rammers are gone and the lobbies are a lot more fun because of it

I would also love to see some of the longer races if there are any. Like 12 laps of Suzuka or even more of some shorter track to really see the race dynamic.

Why do people buy racing games when it's something they clearly don't want to do?
Multiplayer for Forza Motorsport is a joke, I've been a hardcore fan outright buying the deluxe edition every since Forza 4 (in my opinion their holy grail) but they really money grabbed and screwed their fan base on this one. Gran Turismo offers a much better competitor experience, graphics, physics, and game. They really let me down on this one after delaying/hyping it and saying it was "built from the ground up".
Can they just ban formula cars from open class lobbies already? they are very unfair.
P class lobbies are absolute bs full of formula cars from X class downgraded to P class with ballast.

they really need to add a ghost playlist, then the really good drivers can dominate instead of being held back by a bunch of non driver mod people

Personally if you get a low class the braking line should be turned on in multiplayer indefinitely for said player until they start to figure things out. To be fair, pushing and shoving is present in nearly all online racers sans the ones you have to actually pay money for. It's part of the game and as a "good" driver I've had my fair share of mistakes that lead driver veering off the road. The same can be said about ANY player who is good. Accidents happen especially in games like this that rely so heavily on latency between drivers.
There arent many clean players in Forza Motorsport lobby. Huh,

Kids play this game. It really needs a stiffer penalty system like GT7, where it matches you with people at your level rating. Any playing around, you get dropped and are matched with the other losers that like to play around. Again, only kids play this game, so that will NEVER happen. They cant even be bothered to put out a competent game, AFTER 6 YEARS of development. Nothing here shows it couldnt run on the day one xbox 1. Built from the ground up my a......

0:30 ok i always expect that much in the beginning but... 0:43 that was annoying for many reasons. -_- From 1:01 to 1:10 I can't anymore.... that dude was really coming after u just cuz u passed him as he guns after u as u looked back in the rear-view mirror just to try and ram u into the wall LOL. There are so much crashes and spinouts from everyone in the first lap alone... the title of this vid really does sum it up...😂 (22 people in this race and 9 DNF thats kinda wild- 5:43)

That's the kind of people who just don't brake into corners :( I'm only playing Forza Horizon, but even in TEAM RACES against AI, many people will do that to you. Or not let you pass if you're clearly faster. Or try to block you to their best ability. It's harrowing

Ghosting for 20 seconds at start of race would stop alot of first corner disasters Ghosting pens would help with rammers
That works for a game like forza horizon but this game is supposed to be about proper racing. The first corner in a track race is extremely important. Launch control and corner entry and exit on the first corner dictates the starting flow of the race.
What we need is split lobbies and a better penalty system that punishes bad driving over being taken out by bad drivers.
Would also help if people just learned to leave space and not take corners as if other players don't exist.
I believe they had a feature on 7, where the entire first lap was ghost mode, it was nice
