Abstract:
At the beginning, Prof. Jerome Rose comments the character of the movement, which must be played with humor, and reviews the duration of the first chord, not so short. While the student plays, Rose makes brief instructions about articulation, mainly. He also talks about not using the pedal too much and attacking the theme in fortissimo each time it is repeated. He insists that it must be played with humor, it is not serious but more Italian, to show off, vivace. Finally, they revise the articulation of the very beginning: it must be played with precision, but not rushing.
