    Student: Izem Gürer
Lugar: Sony Auditorium of the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía, Madrid 17/11/2015
    W. A. Mozart: Sonata for keyboard in F major K 280 - I. Allegro assai
    Abstract:
Professor Bashkirov advises playing with a more flexible sound to play in a large hall, The left hand must be firmer, more noble. They work the articulation in several passages. When there is a repetition three times it must be played more interesting and different each time. Bashkirov changes some fingerings to make the passage more fluid, always keeping the tempo, and they also work on the sound and expressiveness.

They did not become famous pianists because they learned from this person; rather, he happened to teach students who were destined to become famous anyway.
When I listen to his playing, the only thought that comes to mind is, "He plays well," without any further emotion…Nothing! His teaching method standardizes students and confines them within the bounds of a metronome and written scores.
There is no respect for individual imagination and personality. While he might have been a good teacher 40 years ago, in my opinion from attending his masterclass, he is someone I wouldn't even want to have a cup of Tee with.
