Bro, you did something I have yet to see any other tutorial do: You taught me THREE IMPORTANT THINGS that can be applied to so much more than just this. More importantly, it was all in a single video! who would have ever expected that?!
I realize this is probably geared towards less absolute beginners at this, but this is so much more frustrating than it needs to be with you not simply declaring the hotkeys as you use them. You don't have to explain them, you can literally just say "I'll press ". As is this took more time to figure out what keys you're pressing than just learning how to do what you're doing on my own did.
If you don't have a numbpad, you can click the ` tilda button or go into input preferences and click emulate numbpad to activate the top row numbers to work instead.
Oh man I was trying to get bouncy physics like that for my characters for a while, this is just perfect! Now i just gotta learn how to attach the bouncy parts to a solid model rather than the other way around like its shown on the video [ unless its literally the same process that would be...super handy!] Btw, since you're working on cycles, would that same sliime material setting work on eevee? thanks!
Great video i learned alot ! I still wonder how u attached the fish bones insed the jellow tho.. maybe u can explain it and its not that hard Chearss and thankss alot
after doing all that you showed in the video is it just click export and its done or do I need to do anything more? Also sidenote i wanna use something like this for a game im makeing.
I did the same node set up you have and mine still doesnt look like yours, im using cycles also, and also when are you going to make the bubble and foam tutorial?
i was struggling with softbody, it works like total crap. When i saw you used cloth i was like "huh WTF" but it actually worked like i intended! Softbody in blender is super broken and useless tbh. But tinkering with cloth i managed to make the rubbery letters i wanted, although im struggling with making them collide with eachother, but eh, im closer now
If you would make a softbody character like that, could you rig the Character for like an Avatar and if you can, would the physics still effect the rig?
I followed this guide but when i try to render the animation the tentacles that connect to the eyes stretch/distort and don't move with the rest of the model. It works fine when i play in the viewport. I think its something to do with the vertex groups but i'm a big Blender noob so i have no idea really. Anyone help please?
Not sure if it’s still relevant for anyone else, but I can’t seem to figure out, how to avoid that after little blubber bounced on the floor, that his eyes aka the spheres making the eyes are clipping/intersecting into each other. I tried different modifiers but most of them seem to either not do what I need them to do, or for example the collision modifier seems to remove the parenting between eyes and antennas for some reason. Of course I could just change the settings so that the antennas are not bouncing as much to avoid collision totally, but I think it would be helpful for the future as well to know how to avoid it while maintaining the parenting between eyes and antennas. Geometry nodes maybe??
Could these effects be achieved through using soft body? From a beginner's perspective I am wondering why you chose cloth effect? To show its capabilities?
Are you able to add these effects to specific portions of an object? Like for example if you wanted to add some give or wobble to parts of a character's body to simulate body fat (Like a pair of breasts or a doughy belly)? Or would something like that need to be made into an isolated object that you subtly attach onto the main body?
How we can combine physics simulation with keyframes? For example I jump (impulse vector at direction and then use physics properties for landing 🛬) thanks!
same here my friend. lived there in the industry for many many years. got so bad that I finally packed my bags and never looked back. my God that place is out of control in the worst way
So if anyone else came just for the slime material.. make sure you're using the cycles render engine. He probably says it somewhere but I skipped around. 😅
I am wondering where in this entire video is "Soft Body Character Physics" this is a cloth sim tutorial not Soft Body Edit: I should say thank you, it is a helpful tutorial none the less, very pleasant to listen to, well spoken, precise and to the point -Thank you for providing The Blender community with tutorials that people can actually learn from. I am so sick of seeing speed modeling and music tutorials!

why did you add the cloth modifier instead of the soft body modifier?
@@Darkbulb1 I explain in the video. It renders faster with this version of blender :)
No

Wow... That looks awesome!
Thanks Daniel! Talking about the soft body or the slime material?

Waiting for that bubbles tutorial! great work!!
Love how you have your renders framed
Thank you! Composition is important :)
FINALLY!! now I can create a chibi version of Goop now!!
amazing. thank you.I hope that we get another tutorial about the bubbles and fishbone inside the body soon ;)
Yes, soon, thank you :)
You got the answer? I know how to do it

Great tutorial. Adding it to my queue.

nice offic room its very neat
Great Tutorial!!, Question, how would you rig and animate this character?

That's awesome man I will try this 😋🤩

Cloth renders faster at the time of making this video and has more options
@@SouthernShotty Thank you for replying. Do you also have any tutorial covering jiggling body while moving?

Can we use vertex group for simulating specific parts. And use it for muscle simulation... Please answer..
Yes.
For muscle. There are third party add ons that do sims.

can soft body character be control with rigging?

@@choo_choo_ I'll settle on SOMETHING acceptable. Live and learn.
