    Came from a R1 to a '16 SDR. The duke has like 90% of the cornering ability of the R1 and at 6'5" fits me sooooo much better. Such a great bike.

      Same, my 05 R1 Raven was pretty aggressive riding style, almost felt like I was doing pushups to keep myself upright. Being 6'2, it's def a lot more comfy for taller riders IMO.

    My 23 super duke r evo is in the shop right now because of a potential cam follower failure on the front cylinder so I'm watching this while waiting for an update 😅

      Man that sucks! Yeah it almost seems hit and miss with these bikes when I was doing reviews. Did they give you a quote to fix it or is under warranty?

    • @blakehutslar23
      @blakehutslar23 2 дня назад

      @rideandtell haven't heard for sure yet that that's the actual issue but that's what the mechanic thinks the noise it was making might be as he fixed another one that had the same issue before. It's not under factory warranty anymore but I bought it with an extended warranty because I was a little wary of the KTM reliability stigma coming from a yamaha. Looks like the warranty might be paying off already lol

    I have 2023 RC390. Under 100mph, it doesn't know what a CORNER is! Setting up to RC Cup specs, 320 lbs. now. Afraid 990, 1290 and 1390 are too tall for me. My 1200 Harley Nightster has 23" seat height!😊

    Nice vlog. If you're bumping against the rev limiter too often, consider going +1 in the front for longer gearing.
    I did that on my Tuono V4 and it improved its usability on the street. Isn't as wheelie prone, doesn't hit the rev limiter as quick, and because these engines are so powerful it doesn't feel any more sluggish.

    Nice video mate. I also have a Super Duke Evo and so far ( 4.400 miles ) I had no major issues with it. A few low battery or low voltage errors which disappeared after switching off & on. Had a front brake switch error and that's it.
    But I bought it with a 4 year guarantee so I'm not worrying too much 😉👍🏻
    By the way.. MT10 doesn't sound like an inline 4 engine. Crossplane engine sounds like a V4 engine.

    • @rideandtell
      @rideandtell  20 дней назад

      Yeah besides the starting issues in the beginning so far so good. Yeah I was thinking FZ09 with the M4 exhaust. I wouldn't say like full inline 4 sound, but that higher pitched tone vs the Super Duke.

    Awesome videos man! You deserve many more subscribers and views than you currently have. I'd bet if you made videos on a consistent basis, this channel would grow 1,000% in a few months. Thanks for the vids!
    Side note: Currently have an offer to get this exact bike at $18,400 OTD. Then I have to get the Tech Pack & Track Pack for $1,200... Should I? Hmm...decisions decisions. I really like the GT though. Thinking about offering $19,000 for everything OTD and getting it if he accepts.

      I'm trying to get as many videos I can in a week. Editing another video now. Trying to get my uploads to at least 2x a week. I looked at the GT, it's a nice bike for sure. I'm about the same price as you except I didn't get the tech pack. Like I said in the video, is it pricey? Yeah, do I regret the purchase, no. The fun of the bike makes up for the price, even though it still hurts lol.

    Keep up the good work @RideNTell, you are helping me decide if I want to take the financial jump to getting a 2023 evo and your info thus far has been helpful. I am trying to gwt something for more long distance riding the riding position I have on my current bike is making me want to get off the bike after an hour. Hopefully this bike would be the solution.

    • @rideandtell
      @rideandtell  20 дней назад +1

      Appreciate it! Depends on how long your wanting to ride, more cross country or just longer than an hour. Yeah I struggled with my back on a lot of bikes and this so far has really allowed me to go several hours with no issues.

    • @trivium2590
      @trivium2590 20 дней назад

      @@rideandtell I would say anywhere from 1.5-3 hours at a time. Ive owned a cbr1000rr in the past but the bike got boring after a while with its long gearing and uncomfortable riding position on my knee/hip. I switched back to a cbr600rr as it was more fun to run through the gears while riding the bike. Although I still have the riding discomfort after a certain amount of time. The 1290r looks amazing qnd you cant beat the suspensions ability to auto dampen to your current weight and settings. So I believe it would be a welcome upgrade from my current bike. A thing that does have me worried is the reliability issues that KTM have had in the past but I am hoping they figured it all out with the last year of the 1290r, especially with it being such an expensive bike.

      @@trivium2590 last weekend we did 10 hours ride on my SD Evo and it was just a pleasure 👍🏻 If you want - you can adjust the handlebar and move it closer to you so the riding position will be even more upright. You can also get comfi seat from KTM if you decide that the standard seat is not soft enough 😎👍🏻

    • @rideandtell
      @rideandtell  19 дней назад +1

      @@trivium2590 Yeah there are several routes you could go. I tried the z900, I should have gave it more time or upgraded the seat but just dealt with lower back pain. FZ09 was decent but I didn't like the riding position, felt like I was on top of the bike instead of in the bike. For my longer distance riding I was doing the HD Fatbob 114, but even with upgraded seat it still wasn't as comfortable as my superduke. Everyone could be different, but this has been hands down the only bike since my injury that I can ride for several issues without any pain. I think if I was to get another bike for comfort that isn't more street style and didn't care about power/speed, I'd probably do more of a dual sport. I tried the Harley route but got bored of riding. I feel like if I am not going to have the power/speed, I'd rather have like a SM701 Supermoto or KLR650 so I can make own fun off the streets and do more trail riding.
      Yeah I'm going to keep doing continued testing of this bike to see what reliability is. I hate that it only comes with a 12 month warranty. Feel like for the price it should be at least 24 months, especially since Kawasaki does a 24 month.

      @@rideandtell Thank you for the detailed response, refreshing to get responses with useful information. I was also thinking of the MT-09 SP alyhough the EVO's electronic suspension does interest me alot. The ability to not have to constantly go get my suspension adjusted for weight loss or gain is a welcomed feature in my eyes. Especially with access to comfort modes along with more aggressive settings just with the toggle of a switch. The major downside however is the price plus unlocking the features for even more of a price.

    Just wanna say Here in Germany you will void the warranty if you are over a specific amount of milage on your Bike and Bring it to the Shop for Service. I have a window starting from about, in freedom Units, 600 - 800miles for the First service.
    I hope this does not apply to the US

      You're not wrong. I love wrenching on my own stuff and normally I do. Only reason lately I've been going new is because everyone is asking an insane amount for used bikes. Almost if not full retail for bikes. Been seeing used 2018 honda groms for like $4000. Once my warranty is up on this bike, I plan on servicing it myself.
