How much to spend on Etsy ads, and why they might not show your ads

I have a high return on Etsy ads and I get a lot of traffic from them. Just this month I tested increasing my daily budget. I noticed that for the first few days they spent the full amount (just under the full amount) and then it dropped back to the level it was at before. So apparently I failed Etsy's test even though I made sales during that time period. I'm planning to increase my budget again and see what happens
I have summer ads running as a test and they’re not spending my budget no matter how high i raise it!
Hi thanks for the tips. I’ve just ran 5 dollars a day ads to all and now I’m freaking out…. Can Etsy adds ruin me? conversion rate click rate etc . I’m one month in 736 views 6 orders, 310 visits and have 2% conversion rate. Can anyone help I think I shouldnt run ads while it’s quiet and while I’m getting the Etsy bump because if I get so much more views and no sales won’t it ruin my algorithm. Thinking I should slow it until 4th quarter. Any thoughts ??? Side note I only sell shirts and hoodies and have 118 listings and am not pushing anyone to site anywhere just yet
Ads won't hurt you. Etsy doesn't look at yourwhile-shop conversion rate in any meaningful way. They've said before that it isn't a factor in search ranking.

can you use or are willing to test affiliate links with paid traffic? maybe the kickback makes everything worth it? I am curious because when someone lands on your shop they are being spammed with other shops without your consent so its only fair that you get something for driving those sales. Am I crazy? :D
Do you mean to run ads using the affiliate links? I think that might be against the terms of use of the program but I would have to look.
