New subscriber. I've been doing collision repair for 25 years. Had a bad hail storm come through 3 years ago and hired a storm chaser pdr tech to sub.i was in awe of the work and wanted to learn. The tech told me I'll never get it because we're "panel beaters" . I've been practicing ever since and continue to upgrade tools and equipment. I will admit I've struggled and continue to with bad habits. But it continues to make me better. I've just recently started advertising pdr with my shop. There's not many techs around my area. So word is spreading and jobs are coming in. So I really enjoy guys like you who are proud of their work and love to share it. It's much appreciated with a converting panel beater. Thank you
It’s great to see people who are good at what they do. Almost doesn’t matter what it is. Competence and excellence are always fun to watch. Thanks for sharing your skills.
I've been an autobody technician for years, and I wished I would have learned these procedures early on. Thanx for sharing. I'm going to try to use these steps on all my metal work. GBU
I say ship it!!! Love the wood tab to pull. Love watching you go after these big dents and using post puller. Good stuff! I usually try to make it out to Palm every year or every other. I haven’t been there for three years. Coming out for training would give me a reason to come to Cali!! See ya soon...
Really nice. I remember long ago you'd drill a hole and use a dent puller. I'm looking forward to trying this. I think this has potential in many ways. Thanks for sharing.
Having watched lots of your videos I noticed that when panels are dented they often pull the surrounding metal out of shape. Many times you attach tabs and pull in directions to correct this effect, versus just pushing the dent out - doing this reduces the “slack” in the metal, making it lie down to the proper contour. In this case I would have guessed that pulling across the wheel opening and taillight opening might have benefited from a little pulling, in addition to what you did. Either way, as always, very nice result!
I agree. I wonder what compels him to use the porta-power-wood-block “panel spreader” approach, versus pulling from the direction of impact, or at least around the axis of impact. I think most of us understand that we can’t just try to pull a panel exactly in reverse of how it got dented, and that’s a big part of this. But what do you think makes him do it laterally or on axis? Also, some dents, creases, dimples, and such, simply will not go back into shape because they have been altered in a way that can’t be reversed. I like the lateral pulls when you’ve got a wrinkle that just needs to be smoothed, like how you snap a fabric with a mild wrinkle to try shock the wrinkle out of the fabric, but try scrunching up a sheet of aluminum foil, and then get it back to its previous perfect state. Good luck, but I’d guess that it could always be heated enough to then be drawn through the rolling press to form that sheet in the first place. Those creases along the bumper cover line look like the non-conformist types. And near that edge the paint is chipped and flaked off. Uh oh. Better call some paint. ??????
Amazing repair as always, Clark. I would have liked to have seen your customer's face when picked up the car repaired, he wouldn't belived it. Well done, Master! 👌🔝🔝🔝💯💯💯
Thanks MAN OF STEEL. The real BEST OF THE BEST. I wish one day we will meet you and can watch you personally how you fix a major dent. Thanks for another videos. Watching you from Philippines

Nice work I got a dodge nitro I may try to pdr some dents on. I see you used alcohol to remove the glue. What else works when the glue is stuck on the body. I’ve had that happen maybe it was just cheap glue??
That dent/crease PDR repair is the best I have ever seen . Very impressive techniques and strategy. I like your floor mount puller, I need one. About how many hours was that repair?
How come there are dislikes... what flatearther/anti-masker/karen, would not see this as an amazing performance by a human being and click on the dislike button?!?

Why do you use a map gas torch instead of a heat gun, especially right in front of the booth? I'm just thinking of all the flammables in the paint shop. Your work is amazing! I've been a painter since the 90's and now I want to learn how to do this.
Sean thank you for your comment.. you can use a heat gun as well.. it’s not fast enough for me and you need to set up a 4 heat guns to heat the whole panel
You are great at this art of pulling and working with metal.Would like to bring my 71 Pontiac GP to you,I want to save the original paint as much as possible for now,I drive it as much as possible. Can dents on 70s cars be pulled out like these newer cars? The paint on my car is great, shines like new but there are four dents I would like to have fixed, after I pass it on to my kids, they can restore it but right now I gotta drive it.
George thank you for your comment once I pull the dent the rust was hidden behind the bumper and he returned the vehicle it was a lease return everything went smooth for him..
Excellent repair and I enjoy watching Pdr being done in a shop setting. So many ways to get it done using some real power. The Man of the Steel knows the metal and thanks for getting the word out for Paintless Dent Removal we need it!

Good Evening Man of Steel, this is another great pulling video; you just eat these for breakfast. Just signed up and I was wondering who makes your "Auto Body Post Puller". Looks light enough to wheel around and strong enough to pull any job? Thanks, keep pulling those big ones.
You are amazing with your expertise and techniques! One question that keeps popping up in my mind is will these techniques work on American metal (in this case, an '83 Dodge PU)? Modern metal is so thin and apparently quite flexible/malleable. Just more muscle required or completely different techniques? Thanks!
I see you respond and I appreciate that I am a new dent tech also and you skill is beyond that of most in the profession but I have a question how do you tackle dents on the sun roof (on the edge) where there is a (double panel) and not much access with a whale tail or a wire tool how is your glue tab approach and the dent is double sized can you make a video on this topic please and thank you

What did you do with the cracked paint on the bottom edge? That's now exposed metal that is going to rust.

Well apparently the owner let it rust for a few years.
Its a lease return. The leaser just wants it corrected to turn it in. Its explained in the intro.

is PDR professional suppose to do the scratch touch up at the very end?
I cut that part out because I wanted to show the imperfection in the paint I should’ve probably put it in at the end you’re probably right.
amazing man how it turned
