May I ask why you started the dent pulling in the lower section of the door which also happened to pull the larger dent out above where you pulled? And why you didn't start by pulling from the centre of the large dent?
I’ve watched a lot of pdr videos on RUclips and this guy is the real deal! Always teaching and showing the tools he uses and always goes into depths and details on how to get the job done. Really appreciate all the videos you make it really helps me out. Looking forward on your next uploads
You do really good work. That's quite the art of dent repair. I've done body work for over 40 years but never done paintless dent repair.I like watching your videos so keep going!!
And we're not gonna tell anyone that you have at least 10 years of body shop experience plus you're just talented naturally. Like I tell my students. It takes a special kinda mind to do such precision task in automotive industry. Nicely done, Bravo 👌
This is so satisfying and therapeutic to watch! I admire you're skill with metal manipulation. Also, as a photographer myself it's a frustration getting the right camera angle avoiding reflections to show the before and after to full effect as well.
Thanks Ian, yes lighting is the biggest issue in all my videos, for me it's either raining and the light is poor, or there is harsh direct sun on the car creating problems. I much prefer a dull but light cloudy day for filming! I hope the photography business is going well for you at the moment. Thanks for stopping by and watching 👍
OK OK OK. I watch these automotive paint and body work channels where comments say “you sir are a master craftsman” and the like. Well. I think that your ability to NOT have to pound sand grind and smooth is real craftsman work. I am blown away by your ability. I think most people have no idea how March damage is done to a car by brute force body work with welders and grinders. That stuff or great for an old school 60’s hot rod restoration but with todays new cars your skills are going to be more popular. Your industry needs to get more people before people bring the auto back to the dealer after that fender bender.
Jake extremely outstanding video very very detailed once again it's like a free education amazing you are definitely by far the best PDR Tech I have ever seen and your videos are amazing outstanding sir my hat goes off to you
Does the dent removal tools come in a Kit what's the best to get, you can get it from a paint suppliers. That glue looks good can you reuse it after you used it
Yes, you can buy a good PDR in a kit form and then add different tools as you progress. The Glexo Cold glue is amazing and I use it all the time and the same piece of glue lasts for a very long time if you look after it and keep it clean 👍
It's a very high level of technology. Even in Japan, what is called a dent repair has come to be recognized. Please continue to give us wonderful videos
I've used Jake on many of my car especially on my limited car, hes trust worthy affordable and he definitely knows what hes doing which I can always trust !!!!
Loving Glexo cold glue. Ive only had it for a month or two...but im finding i reach for it more and more as time goes on. Another great repair Jake. Thanks mate.
After you’ve restored it to its original state will the panel flex if you apply pressure to it? For example if you were hand waxing that part of the panel will it flex and move because the metal has been stretched from the impact? Will the panel want to go back in?
Good question, no this panel won't flex back in, it stayed in originally because the deep indentation at the bottom which was holding the panel in. Once that tension was released the door went back to its original shape, it hadn't stretched the metal at all. However some new cars have some very weak doors that push in and stay in from the lightest push. The more pronounced swage/bodylines a panel has the more rigid it is.
Thanks, it's just a standard PDR glue pulling slide hammer, had it so long now can't remember where it came from? A good online PDR store will have plenty of similar ones in stock 👍
Haha man, being a 1yr tech I've been spoiled with all the new goodies. I've been using this stuff since day 1! makes repairs much faster and keeps things super clean
1st Track Dents i wouldn’t go that far! Haha but i use it just about every repair! I love it for shallows and waves. Heat the panel and the cold glue and it almost always works.
@@Kylesweeting Yes, I've already learn't a few tips and tricks of my own that make it perform even better, I think I need to get a bigger slide hammer though as I don't get enough travel with the weight on mine:-)
as always Jake it's a pleasure to watch you working your magic your videos are very well crafted with your no fuss narration , wish you were here in Oz you get my work without a doubt cheers
Wonderful job!! Your so majestic man! I really admire of you!! Thank you always sir!! Im the some person watching you from Baghdad Iraq!!! ......And please apologize me for my transition!!

I always enjoy watching your videos, great job as usual. Definitely not the best time at the moment here in the UK for some mobile repairs. Thank you for sharing your experience.
Hi Ethan, probably try and learn as much as you can online watching videos etc to understand how it all works and then maybe find a local training school that takes on small groups or teaches one on one. Just don't make the mistake of buying thousands of pounds/dollars at the start, just buy the essentials and start from there. 👍
Привет из Санкт-Петербурга! Glexo с берегов Невы. Можно было перед первым ударом молотка прогреть дверь. Работа ОГОНЬ! А видео - просто лучшие в этой тематике!
Hi Jake that glexo looks insane, going to buy meself some! Would it be possible to see you make a video of your light and umbrella set up, both look home made but fantastic, really like the soft fade from the fog. Shows so much detail.
Hey Paul, yes I've had that idea in the pipeline for a while, but other things keep coming up. I do hope to make more videos like that as I am a 'make it yourself' kind of person as lots of tools I would love to own are way out of my budget. So it is definitely on my list of videos to do. And yes the Glexo is great, it can save so much time as it is quick to use and not messy like hot gluing can be. Best of luck. 👍
Great job! If you check some reviews from the recent MTE, they give some good advice on the use of cold glue, taken from the Russians. They use your normal plastic tabs with cold glue, but they keep'em attached to the slide hammer adapters using hot glue. Other cool trick - they don't use alcohol to clean the panel, they just touch it with some buffing compound, like residues off the buffer pad. They say the glue sticks much better.
Hi ...huge fan of all your videos .... I would just love to know or have a link to a video of yours where u show the tools u use and where i can buy them ..especialy the tools u used in this video ...thanks
Hi Niyazz, thanks for your comment. I usually leave some links to tools in the description, I don't have a video of all the tools I use although I may look to do that in the future. All the best to you 👍
Your doing a great job. I see your lesoning to our comments on upgrading your tools. And that's great. If sure saves time. One thing I would point out that would save you more time and make the job easier. Is to remove the door and brace it on a good stand. How ever you were stuck in the rain. That really suck an can through you off on doing a very good job. So i have to give you 2 thumbs up! You did a really great job! I hope you got paid very well for this work! Hello from the UK Dan, I'm pleased that you like them:-)

This guy is a freaking magician
today in autoindastry used only soft metal - it's more effiency more safety and cheap, thats why simle pdr tools can fix any problem
I love how you tap with the small rubber tip vrs the bigger tips. Thanks for sharing. I'm bonding my repair. Lol.
I bonded my repairs for years before I learnt this skill, I think large filler repairs take just as much skill and patience to get right:-)
Paint and body shops must hate you. That was impressive work.
Loving Glexo cold glue. Ive only had it for a month or two...but im finding i reach for it more and more as time goes on. Another great repair Jake. Thanks mate.
Yes, I can't imagine my PDR life without it:-)
How reusable is the glue, assuming the panel and tools are properly cleaned before use?
After you’ve restored it to its original state will the panel flex if you apply pressure to it? For example if you were hand waxing that part of the panel will it flex and move because the metal has been stretched from the impact? Will the panel want to go back in?
