That's amazing. Years ago I used to do "smart" repairs at the franchised dealerships so I've seen dozens of dent guys, and none of them could have fixed a dent that size. Quite often they made things worse!
Hi 57dogsbody thanks for your message.... it’s amazing what’s possible given the time to repair and the accepted price. I love the big nasty stuff which is probably BodyShop and like to push the boundaries to see what’s possible. I do fail too! There’s still a lot of dent guys who just do the trade repairs and it’s all about time/money..... the going rate is less than 50 a car or 35 a panel something like that, so making a job look ok is all that they are after. I don’t do the trade as such as I like to produce the best standard without a time limit. Did you enjoy your time as a smart repairer? What did you do Thanks for watching and hope you’ve subscribed Martin
As a fellow RUclips in the PDR industry I’ll say that it’s incredibly difficult to find time to absorb other peoples content. I try to catch Martins videos whenever possible..... not only is he a superb tech, but a fantastic human. Keep it up and congratulations on huge views!
Thanks Jim il second that! It’s always hard to find the time to view other PDR vids when we have so much other stuff to do! You have an amazing library of videos to suit everyone and that’s a super achievement 🙌🏼 likewise super technician... don’t take no shit and tells it how it is 👊🏼 il catch up with you soon dude
I took my car to a PDR place on the IOW UK and was very very disappointed with the result and being charged £150 for it.. I watched a few PDR videos and improved on what had been done (that's how bad the 'expert' was ) but you sir are a magnificent Magician, it is craftsman like you that set the bar for excellence.
Hey bud, this was a fantastic in depth video. I wouldn’t doubt editing and audioing this took as long as the repair. My oldest just turned 20 and put his two weeks in at his job to come with me and start learning. He will be watching A LOT of your videos Martin so I really appreciate how detailed you are in explaining our process. You’re actually helping me too, with how i will be verbally explaining as he learns. Hope you and Miss G are well my friend.
Hey Tommy & Jamie! My pleasure and yea the editing takes around 50-80mm a each video!! Happy birthday to you d d DingKing I wish him all the success and he has you as a great teacher 🙌🏼 We’re great thanks, just away camping this weekend and it’s 10 degrees and pissing it down!
no one can understand how incredibly difficult it is to perform a repair of such a class, or how many years of sweat and training are behind it, you are a role model for the pdr industry. best regards Thomas
Thank you Thomas i really appreciate your comment. Yes it takes a while to get to a point wher you can make an ugly dent look nice… Thanks for watching and take care Martin
That is truly amazing. It demonstrates the fantastic adhesion of modern paints to the metal surface. I was expecting the paint to pull away, leaving some kind of paint repair necessary - maybe even a bit of filler and a complete panel spray. It is as if the Forth rail bridge were held up by the strength of its paint!
Hi Paul. Yes I’m too amazed how the paint keeps intact sometimes. On some vehicles you can see the paint react and it’s quite nerve wracking but then it heels itself. I bet older paints wouldn’t stand up to the glue pulling. Japanese cars have really thin paint so they are not so good to glue pull. German cars have lovely paint. Thanks for watching and commenting Martin
Thank you Alan I really appreciate your kind comment...... yes it’s definitely an Art sometimes! I’m happy to share these adventures with you guys! Thanks Martin
I have never seen this done before. I have tried to do similar myself but ended up with little dents that needed to be flattened and sprayed afterwards. This was brilliant. It must take a lot of training to achieve that sort of fine work.
Hi Honest Chris thanks for watching and I’m very happy you enjoyed the repair video I hope you subscribed to my channel. Yes it takes years of practice to get the dents out without damaging the paint or the metal surface. I’m sure you can appreciate from your past experience Again thanks for watching and keep safe Martin
@@dentremover01 thank you for the reply Martin. I believe in giving credit where it is due. Nice job👍 I recently subscribed to your channel. It’s amazing to see how a nasty dent can be fixed like nothing happened there. Patience is the key! You have this quality. Keep going!
Thank you Maxim for your great comment. It’s very satisfying to watch and also it is for me when I’m repairing vehicles. I love to show the public and my viewers what can be accomplished with PDR Thanks again for watching and hope you subscribed 🙌🏼
Excellent work! At the start of the video I thought you had taken on a very difficult job, which it was, and I thought that you would need to do some bondo, flatting and painting, but you proved me wrong. Well done.
Hi Barry. Thanks so much for your kind comments... Yes it was a tough dent to repair and took quite a lot of effort to get it started and then at the end getting it to a smooth finish. So thanks again for watching and I’m very happy you enjoyed it. Hope you subscribed to my channel and il do my up most to continue producing great content Thanks Martin
Hi Shane! I’m 40 next week.... hope your well? I remember looking at the pdr set you had at the motor college with the magnetic balls 😂 I still don’t think o could use that now! Thanks for watching I hope it was interesting Thanks Martin
Brilliant job. My dad had a dent on the bootlid of his mokka in the same place only on the other side. He traded the car in though and didnt bother getting it fixed.
Hi Mark, thanks for watching..... maybe it’s a common place for dents on that vehicle, we often see this! Hope he got another nice car? Thanks for watching and hope you subscribed Martin
Thanks Slingblade Jim! Really appreciate you watching and commenting.... I have another going love today hope you can catch h it! Have a nice weekend Martin

So sorry for the late reply
Wish you well 🙌🏼
Awesome! I would wish all damages could be removed like this! Very excellent work.
Craftsman at his best,i learned so much!
For example : i learned ; to call you instead of trying myself.
I don't have this level of patience😂
How I would love for you to come out with a video on how to understand and navigate around the line board & how to read it from with its reflection
