@@dentremover01 repairing sailplanes is interesting because you not only have the cosmetic aspect but the structural repair as well. When you make a landing in a field and you don't see the tree stump coming up quickly and there is that sickening sound of snapping spars and fiberglass and you get out and look at your once beautiful bird and do a bit of crying, and then bring it to us. The last memory of their bird is a wing spar ripped up through the top of the fuselage and big gapping holes through the leading edge of the wings.(You get the picture, nasty piece of work). Then when they come back their beloved sailplane looks brand new again. If you don't take pride in your work you shouldn't be in that line of work. I ground out delaminated fiberglass and layered in new and made new wing roots and sanded and sanded and sanded some more. But you removed a dent in metal without grinding and using bondo and having to repaint! To me that is pure talent and a man with a helluva an eye. I wish you had repaired my car.

Pretty sharp work. I noticed that you peeling off the bumper cover @ 3:17 but then it was still attached to the quarter. Looks to me that you would've had ideal access to reach the dent from behind the bumper cover. I'm not a PDR tech but I've been a collision tech for many years. Removing the bumper cover for access would've been the better approach. Better leverage with a sturdy rod instead of the ol hook rod. Also noticed that you cut the final clip showing the end result with the ol hook. I was very anxious to see that and you duped me ! SUP With that Martin ? 🤔🙄 No pun intended, just my 2. 😁

Hi Martin. Happy New Year to all. You mentioned that you didn't want to damage the holes. Would you hot glue a washer over a hole so that you can lever off it and not do damage? Remove the washer with alcohol as usual afterwards. All the best. Terry.
Hi Terry happy new year to you. Yes I think that maybe a good idea and I can certainly give it a try and let you know. I’d imagine I’d need a strong holding hot glue for this, and use lots to smother the full washer but yes that’s a great idea to try Thanks Martin

Hi John. I know what you mean. All I can say is to double up on cleaning the tabs and surface. Keep the correct temp and play with the timings. If you ever will traveling to Russia please welcome to Saint-Petersburg 🙌🏻 We have a lot of things to talk about together and if we showing to people professional PDR we have no chance for mistakes and must teach them right way. No mater how difficult repairs we have the principles are doesn’t change. I really love your style and passion Martin! With much respect! (Stanislav)
Hi Stanislav thank you for your comments, the repair on the 1/4 I could have repaired a few different ways but wanted to use the glue pull tower to show it working. Realistically I should have also used the bars aswell. I’d love to know how you would repair this kind of dent as that’s how we all learn and master the skill. I’d love to come over one day, il admit I don’t know when that may be but when the various shows are on then one day we could meet up and have a good chat about pdr over a beer or three! I’ve found your channel and subscribed, will catch up on your videos and see how you work. Looks like your videos are getting great views already so we’ll do e to you. Thanks again and take care Martin
@@dentremover01 Thanks that you don’t angry about my comment mate🙌🏻 About beer or three - that’s very good idea and I believe we’ll meet one day! About that kind of damage - using the tower is absolutely correct (if you have it) But! First thing is that kind of damage have a compression nature and exactly lower body line and a part under the plastic fender hold all that system. It’s a main target. Second one is a crown on the top! We must try to pull the lower part of the damage then we should glued to the upper body line but just to create a tension and tap down the crown directly to the body line. If we don’t do that like you do the crown and lower part locks the middle part so strong and you just stretched the metal but basically all system don’t move out. Please try to imagine that process like a sectional diagram (I hope that’s correct words) Unlock the crown and part under the fender with lower body line and you win easy! And last thing. That was a deepest fragment of the dent by your right hand if you looking on it. You glued the Black Plague green tab but the core of that part was right above lower body line. Any tab will pull better by the center it’s axiom. Crease tabs works correctly if you glued to the equal part. In your situation the tension on the deeper fragment was much stronger than top part and your pull comes irregular - top part came out much easier and just pinches the deep part. So we should to glue so that the center of tab coincides with the center of the deep part. I always focused on two things: how to create a original form (not the some shape looks like original) and how I can build it with no stretching a metal. Just pull and push it in right direction and with a right strategy and sequence. Better do it by small steps because a small step it’s a small mistake probability! Big step like a hard pull can bring us a lot of problems if we going wrong. It’s just a puzzle. And that simply things very important TODAY because the metal of modern cars is shit! So we right on the minefield. We need to heal it don’t stretch. Looking for the stress points, contrast parts of the damage and unlock it. Let the metal flow in the original shape. Often it’s only one right way to each damage and main task is finding that way. We have all tools to win! Good luck Martin! Sadly my channel on Russian language but it’s a pleasure that you are the one of my followers 🤙🏻☺️
Hi, thanks for your comment, I made this pulling tower and I also made a video on how to make your own, your welcome to copy the design and all the measurements are on the video Good luck
Hi Mate. I do t think that would work- realistically it’s either bars or hot glue/ or luck Hot water, plungers ets are not going to work or maybe partially work. It’s easy to lift the majority of the damage up- the skill is making it 98%- 99% where we save it from a paint shop
Every dent and repair is different and also circumstances I think this was around 5-600 on the basis it was a push to paint. In the USA this would be thousands to fix
Hi Robert Lee! Thanks for your comments and glad you found the links/videos I hope you enjoyed them? Thanks for subscribing also I really appreciate it Thanks Martin

Thank you @@robertlee4172 I really appreciate your feedback. I had the same issue, most of them are simple L shape towers where you need to use a Jack to secure (clamp) it to the chassis of the car Or made from mechano a 5 year old could put together- that thing is gonna bend and wobble like mad. Also the rachet strap idea I don’t like as your adding in needed pressure to the tab when ratcheting - wobbling the strap I thought a lot about this tower and kept adding to it and re designing it. I could have made a batch and tried going to market with them or going in with a Pdr company but cannot be bothered- too much hassle I’d rather help the techs out and show that you can make one yourself for no money at all and it’s better Il be adding a few extras to it soon so il bring out a quick vid on that too Thanks Martin

Thanks again and take care
Martin
I hope you will understand what I want to say! My English is not so good 🤓 Thank you!
God Job
Hi how much did it cost thanks

Danke mein Freund für deine netten Worte! Alles Gute und frohe Weihnachten ol Bean
@@dentremover01 well Google translated mucka !!! 😂🤣😂🤣
Haha
What is the glue called and how do you remove it from paint on the car.
Can it remove a crease dent on a tailgate between the letters?
Is the pump tool special?
is it sold?
Hi, thanks for your comment, I made this pulling tower and I also made a video on how to make your own, your welcome to copy the design and all the measurements are on the video
Good luck
@@dentremover01
Thank you so much for watching.
Awesome!
Could you have used more heat (100⁰C) and use suction pads?
Hi Mate. I do t think that would work- realistically it’s either bars or hot glue/ or luck
Hot water, plungers ets are not going to work or maybe partially work. It’s easy to lift the majority of the damage up- the skill is making it 98%- 99% where we save it from a paint shop
How much would you charge for something like this to be done
Every dent and repair is different and also circumstances
I think this was around 5-600 on the basis it was a push to paint. In the USA this would be thousands to fix

Great work mate I’m definitely going to use you going forward. Just sub to the channel as well.
Hi Thanks for your kind words, please give me a link to your channel or spell it for me as I can only partially see your name
Thanks Martin
Can you pull dents out of a Land Rover discovery one?
Yes I can take dents out of any vehicle if the damage is repairable ☺️
@@dentremover01 I am in North Borneo and nobody does that here...Was wondering how to do it to a 1991 Land Rover Discovery I have inherited .
Ah got you, well you can learn with simple tools, there’s lots of online training aswell
It may help you?
***MAKE A VIDEO OF THE PULLING TOWER!!!***
(yes, I just subscribed)
OK, never mind. I found your link.
Hi Robert Lee! Thanks for your comments and glad you found the links/videos I hope you enjoyed them?
Thanks for subscribing also I really appreciate it
Thanks Martin
@@dentremover01 I found a retailer selling a dent pull tower online, $1500.00 usd. Yours is a much better alternative to buying what's available. Thanks for sharing the design.
Thank you @@robertlee4172 I really appreciate your feedback. I had the same issue, most of them are simple L shape towers where you need to use a Jack to secure (clamp) it to the chassis of the car
Or made from mechano a 5 year old could put together- that thing is gonna bend and wobble like mad.
Also the rachet strap idea I don’t like as your adding in needed pressure to the tab when ratcheting - wobbling the strap
I thought a lot about this tower and kept adding to it and re designing it. I could have made a batch and tried going to market with them or going in with a Pdr company but cannot be bothered- too much hassle I’d rather help the techs out and show that you can make one yourself for no money at all and it’s better
Il be adding a few extras to it soon so il bring out a quick vid on that too
Thanks Martin
Well done 👍 send me the picture of pulling tower thanks 🙏
Hi Luis thank you for your comment, there will be a couple of videos coming soon on how to build your own glue tower. They will be live to view in the next few days
Thanks Martin
Awesome instructional video!!!! PLEASE STOP turning the annoying music volume up between speaking.
Sorry Mike, gotta try these things but glad you enjoyed the practical bit. I’ve eased the soundtrack on newer vids 🙌🏼
Where are you based? Would like prices
Thanks Zabir, we are in Beverley (East Yorkshire)
👌🏼👍
Thank you
Good. Danger if that chain snaps off. Stand well back
Where you located
Hi Danny we’re on Beverley, East Yorkshire
When I turn down the music I miss some of the comments you're making as you work. As I appreciate the running commentary my suggestion is to lose the music. Great Instructional video.
Hi Jim thanks for your comment, yes I’m aware that some of my videos have loud music and I apologise
When editing it’s good to try different ways to make a video and I tried the loud music and it wasn’t so popular. I can’t get rid of this music I don’t think and I’d be surprised if I still have an edit-able copy where I can delete the soundtracks. But il take a look for you
Thanks Martin
👏👏👏👏👏👏
👍👍👍
Thank you
Beautiful work buddy but the music sucks
Thanks John. Yes I think the music is Marmite. But I’ve toned it down in my newer videos. Got to try these things
Cracks me up when I see guys tapping on the car with that little hammer - Just reminds me of the Father Ted episode:
ruclips.net/video/y1IpELCTX5w/видео.html
Hahahaha me too sometimes!! Great episode that was !!
Interested in the process and results, but the noise for music really was annoying and add nothing to the video!
Sorry about the music
Great video, but that loud music is really nerve-racking.
Hi Omar, yes I’ve had a few viewers not like the music and I apologies. It’s very 50/50 and I have to try different things in order to get that perfect balance of video
My accent is very boring! And I can’t talk about the job all the way through as I may upset other viewers!
Point taken and Il try to tone down in future vids. Actually my latest video was toned down if you want to check it out
Tidy job is that
What is the name of first tab
He said in video Keco Centerpide crease tab 👍
Hi Dharmen thank you for your question, it’s called a Keco tab. If you was to go on Kecotabs.co.uk you’ll see the full range of these tabs under Glue pull/tabs
Thanks Martin
Thanks Corey
