Oh. My. God. I had no idea you guys had done this sketch. And 13 freaking years ago, to boot!! That settles it. You're geniuses. You're absolute God-damn criminally under-appreciated geniuses.
Hate to say it but its their best sketch because they used a very famous old sketch as the model for this one. They didn’t come up with the idea for this one I’m afraid.
So, apparently this is getting recommended to lots of people this year - I would love to see the crew comment on it now, or even remake it. Absolutely epic riff on a classic.
Well, Hello from the future. This year is LRR's 20th Anniversary. I don't think they talked about it in their anniversary shows. I do admit, while I find this fairly entertaining, I still like the OG Abbot and Costello version better.
2:41 I didn't know Paul was capable of such things. I'll have to recalculate most of my theories and discard some of the weaker ones, but I think this could lead to an unprecedented breakthrough.
It'd be amazing to do a revisit of this sketch in modern crisp high-definition. It sucks that we couldn't have Bill as I Don't Know in such a case, but maybe Bill's Mom could respectfully take on the role in his stead.
The first time I watched this, I hadn’t seen Who’s On First, and so was totally lost. This is the second time I’ve watched this. I’ve seen Who’s On First, and so I was only 50% lost.
You know what, I've decided that it was a fine comment, and I don't know why I was so self-deprecating about it 3 years ago. Please come back in 3-5 years for more updates on this saga. Will I eventually decide that the bit I'm writing this very moment is _cringe?_ Stay tuned!
I know I have seen every sketch that is possible to find online (and maybe a few that aren't), but for some reason I don't remember seeing this one at all. So weird.
@@user-pp5oh9ee1k Yes, the guy on second is What. But the OP said that What is the single most important sketch in North American comedy. So it follows that the guy on second is the single most important sketch in North American comedy.
look up "who's on first"
Hi
Ok
This comment was made before pinned comments were a thing. Should you go back and pin it now?

10 years on, still an absolutely perfect variation. One of the best LRR sketches.
this is one of the best sketches you have ever done. i demand a remake in the new moonbase duing loading ready live
OH MYH FLIPPING YES
defensively their fumiest sketch
I second the motion. All in favour?
aye (its been a year but aye)

Great spin on a truly classic sketch.

Oh dear lord, Beardless Graham.
AND Bearded Paul.
Beard 1.0 Paul.
agreed
Cant believe that this popped up in my recommened... jesus this is old lol
I never went back to watch this sketch before (before my time.) but I saw this on the Wikipedia Article about Who's on First.
It'd be amazing to do a revisit of this sketch in modern crisp high-definition. It sucks that we couldn't have Bill as I Don't Know in such a case, but maybe Bill's Mom could respectfully take on the role in his stead.
Crazy seeing such young LRR folk, THIRTEEN YEARS! Wow
The first time I watched this, I hadn’t seen Who’s On First, and so was totally lost.
This is the second time I’ve watched this. I’ve seen Who’s On First, and so I was only 50% lost.
Is this the first time you've used more than just the one snippet of the sporting news baseball?
This is, without a doubt, my favorite LRR sketch.
I don't know why RUclips decided to put this on my feed today, but I'm very happy for it.
I need my text tone to just be Bill going "yeah?"
Time traveller from 2022 and thank you for this blessing of comedy
Still the best stinger in LRR history. Oh yeah, and the writing of the rest of this sketch is brilliant. You know, as if that needed saying.
Thank you algorithm for recommending this classic
Coming from the future and seeing shaved Graham makes me uncomfortable. Skit is still goat.
Who's on first is easily one of the greatest comedy sketches of all time.
This is the best possible variation on the classic.
12 years on still absolutely gold
I feel like I had a stroke
Where are the two million views this deserves?
Ah, an oldie but a goodie
Binging LRR after all their content was hidden for weeks.
Well, I never expected anyone to redo this bit, and I certainly never expected anyone to do it so well. Awesome!
God, what a boring comment.
You know what, I've decided that it was a fine comment, and I don't know why I was so self-deprecating about it 3 years ago.

A classic of comedy. The part that really got me though was the Little John reference at the end. :)
abott and castelo
All these years later, I still love this riff on the classic.
How did I miss this one. Nice twist on it.
And we STILL don't know who the Right Fielder is....
+Seth Carver No! Who's on first!
Damn it!
+Ch1Frequency What?
Liam Walters He's on second!
Ch1Frequency Who's on second?
Ch1Frequency I don't know!
This is possibly the most clever spin on a classic skit I've ever seen.
Omg. I came from the Sketch Bracket. Cursing has a stinger, then into this. Rofl. Love 'em both.
A perfect sequel.
Okay guys this is Monty Pythons level of genius. Love it.
This is MARVELLOUS and I also need a "brain break" :D
That stinger is now old enough to be funny again.
Oh my god, how have I never seen this one. Amazing.
I've seen all the sketches years ago but I don't remember this. This is great how did I forget it or miss it?
"Hu's on first" is a fun image search
That stinger is very 2009
Who’s On First, but neither of them are in on it
Love the stinger! :)
Wow, young Paul is really a time walk
Young Graham is even more of a time walk
It'd probably be easier to draw a diagram.
so awesome
2017 boisss

What's "the single most important sketch in north american comedy?"
No, what's on second.
So the guy on second is the single most important sketch in North American comedy. Got it.
Paul Chapman no, he is what
@@user-pp5oh9ee1k Yes, the guy on second is What. But the OP said that What is the single most important sketch in North American comedy. So it follows that the guy on second is the single most important sketch in North American comedy.
Well this came out of left field in my recommendations.
This was never in left field, why is left field!
Oscar Jessup I don’t know.
@@paulchapman8023 Third base
I forgot this was a thing. Love it so much.
Bill makes an excellent I Don't Know.
Eh, he'd have been better at second base.
I watched this like four times
It was a simpler time. Great stuff.
Awesome stinger guys, awesomeness in general
The pinnacle of comedy
Graham looks so weird without his beard. xD
Whitest Lil' Jon Impression EVER.
xD haha awesome at the end.
I Don't Know ftw
Remake!
Its confusing for them because they use "Who" and "who" interchangeably
Oh yeah, that is the joke. Thanks for letting us know.
awesome take on a classic
699 likes ... Nice!
good christ
rofl, nice
Awesome! Well played!
Yeah?
where is When?
How did I get here?
Classic LRR from when they did comedy! Love this stuff!
you... you know they still do comedy, right?
The Dave Chapelle little John reference at the end killed me
