We are not drag racers, and this is not the video that we planned on making but we still got to run the new Nissan Z down the 1/4 Mile!

Might I suggest getting some drag radials and soften up the suspension heaps.
Motive did 12s on stock suspension, turbosmart bovs, stock exhaust ( bovs do nothing for power though) .

If I can get it running this weekend like I'm planning and if I've got no leaks I might take it up to heathcote in a coupla weeks just to see what it does out of curiosity before I get it tuned properly 🤔
@@5lcalais1 my guess is a cracked piston. I wouldn't recommend sending an untuned car down a strip.
@@yeenah3111 at 6psi it'll be fine, they can self tune kind of up to about 10psi thanks to the factory map sensor n rising rate pressure reg ,I've got a 3 bar map sensor on it, with upgraded injectors and fuel pump so at 6 it'll be fine, the ol delco ecu was smart for it's time surprisingly.
But I'll still make sure it's good before hand ,it's mainly just for test running it as it has no rego and won't as next stage is full drag spec, just wanna make sure it's right before I get to the tuners, I won't send it if there's any issues.
I'm not completely stupid lol

Was traction control turned off?.. Just looked and sounded terrible down the strip like it had more to offer.
Factory electronics fk with them bad, motive had the same problem tryna get it down the track.
Aem in U.S. did 980s recently but who knows what they did to fix the issue n I doubt they tell anyone either unfortunately.

The ol buicks apparently can go up to 10psi without a tune ,gotta love factory map sensered cars, and factory rising rate pressure regs (obviously u have to upgrade the pump and run a higher psi map to do so, I've done both)
It'll probably sound just as bad though as it has no exhaust yet ,open pipe straight off the dump 🤣

When you go a second slower than the stock one 😄, and it's the VDC interfering, same issue on the 370z. Turning off traction doesn't turn it all the way off,
Need to insert a switch into the power wire to the yaw-sensor and VDC is disabled entirely, if you just pull the VDC fuse you lose it all including ABS and get all the idiot lights on the dash.
