    The whole point is that they're pretenders.
    Solo is intentionally leaning into Roman Reigns characteristics, saying similar lines and taking the moniker of Tribal Chief and it feels wrong and lesser because that's THE POINT.
    He's not the Tribal Chief, he's a thug who has co-opted the name, and taken the spot without truly grasping the point. They're vicious and animalistic, they want to 'rule over the ashes' and the suits are just hiding their true nature.
    The OG Bloodline had more of a calculated image, whilst these are all instinct.

Maybe The Rock sent Jacob n they have another break-off Bloodline. They got enough family to do it lol

      Spot on. This also gives Roman so much material for promos when he comes back. "I was the champ for 4 years feeding this family, what have you done to feed this family?" things like that. It's sort of similar in the first Black Panther when Michael B tried to take over Wakanda while T'Challa was presumed dead. When Roman comes back, so do the true loyalists but there is still The Final Boss in the shadows. There's layers. This is merely the first part of all of it.

    I need Solo to steal Roman's head of the table entrance theme. Imagine Jacob Fatu repeating his onslaught next week just for Roman's theme to hit and everyone getting hyped, only for Solo and the rest of the Bloodline coming out. The heat would be MASSIVE

      @@BrianJohnsonArmwrestling Agreed. Take SummerSlam 2002 for example: Triple H came out to Shawn's music right after their unsanctioned match to play to the audience that Shawn was okay, but ALSO to set them up for his eventual return with Survivor Series. If they were to have Solo do it, they would have done it right after WrestleMania...but then Solo was still a good soldier and Paul would have freaked for him using the Tribal Chief's music like that. There was no way they would do a swerve like that for this story.

They're not giving Theory a fair chance and it's only because they just don't like him. That's fine, but at least give him a chance and let's see what he can do. Second, they're not seeing and/or don't wanna see the real reason he's been struggling. That reason is bad booking and sabotage all being done by the HHH regime. Yes, the match with Cena didn't get him over but the reason why is because 1. Cena seemed off that night and 2. The match wasn't produced well... His entire US title reign was sabotaged and he didn't/couldn't have any control over his booking. Everything that's happened is because of HHH and creative period. None of it is Theory's fault. I understand that people don't like him, but they should at least have an open mind and see and understand the real reason he's struggled for almost two years and give him a better chance to show what he can do. Pro wrestling has done stories this long before, but it's mostly been in the past. The Bret Shawn story was years in the making. The Undertaker Paul Bearer story was years in the making. Unfortunately the Hulk Hogan Kevin Sullivan story was years in the making. The Bruno Sammartino Larry Zbyszko story was years in the making. More recently the DIY breakup and reunification storyline was years. It has been done. The problem is, a large portion of fans have short attention spans. They want a new challenger to a title each PPV/PLE, they want a new champion every two/three months. Roman holding it as long as he did, unfortunately people got bored with it. People think Solo is doing a terrible job, however he has made Roman into a massive babyface without Roman even being there. That shows how good Solo has been.

    The thing about any storyline/faction, is that it eventually runs its course (*cough-cough* nwo). The Bloodline has been one of the most successful stories in years. That being said, it is nearing its end. I don't think the title needs to be involved here, nor should it be. Part of the problem here is that both Roman & Rock are part time. Ideally, to fantasy book, I'd like to see Roman return and challenge Solo. However, to elevate everyone...Roman should have to defeat Rock FIRST to challenge. Then, after he finally beats Solo and the two bloodlines clash....it should then be OVER, with everyone involved walking away better than they were before. My 2 cents.

    • @vanyadolly
      @vanyadolly Месяц назад +2

      On the other hand, the problem with the nwo was shitty writing and booking. The bloodline has consistently shown that they can reinvent themselves and come up with banger stories and segments year after year. The whole point of it was to build up the next group of Samoan wrestlers after Roman (and Rocky) retire.
      I'd actually like to see more long-term factions that can function in the background without always having to implode on themselves, because that becomes predicable too.

    I think there are two big weak points with the storyline, and only one is truly inherent to this story itself:
    First, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa are, at least in my opinion, easily the weakest links in this story, and until basically last month, this story was just them, Solo, and Paul, which emphasized that weakness.
    But really, the bigger, second issue which I've been seeing a lot: Triple H and creative have been dragging their feet and beating a dead horse a LOT in the build-up of some of these stories, and it results in feeling like PLEs are the only time that the plots move forwards, and everything else feels like wheels spinning. The Liv/Dom storyline only just now reintroduced Rhea after several months of Liv chasing Dom with very little progess forward. Same more or less goes for Punk and McIntyre. The thing is, that those stories have massive, engaging personalities attached on all fronts, whereas for the Bloodline, as I mentioned, two of the four members just haven't been shown to be particularly interesting enough to keep that slow build entertaining.
    Thats just my thoughts though.

Roman specifically named Solo as his tribal heir over a year ago. If you've to the story at all, you know that they've been teasing Solo usurping power from Roman for a while now. So having anyone other than Solo in that role would invalidate the story that they've been telling for the last four years. Jacob is doing great in his role as enforcer thus far. Him coming out & decimating DIY & Theory so that Solo & The Tongans can make their entrance was beast mode.
