That Raw where Rey won the tournament for the title and then had to defend it the same night against Cena killed me. I was somewhere around 12 I think and my sister had gotten my family tickets to Raw for my birthday so I was there live. Even as a kid I remember thinking it was weird they were having the title match first, shouldn't it be the main event? After Rey won I was crying and sobbing tears of joy he was my second favorite wrestler behind Hardy as a kid. When HHH came out and made the match for Rey to defend the title the same night even I knew what was happening. I watched with clinched fists and tears of anger falling down my face as super Cena stole that title and glory from one of my favorites. I spent the next decade plus absolutely hating Cena and cheering everytime he lost or got beat down. I'm an adult now and have respect and admiration for Cena and am excited for his retirement tour but he was enemy #1 for a long time because of trash booking decisions.
This video made me realise that from 2014 to 2023 either Roman Reigns or Brock Lesnar were involved in the main event and it could happen again this year if Roman returns during Cody vs Solo

The tribal combat match was horrible, the one rule was no interference and it ended with interference.
