He is a great promoter of aftermarket companies and parts. That is his area in the industry. He destroys OEM parts and then boom boom upgrade, upgrade, Christmas every day!
@mattster197 So many other people and channels just hate him for doing what he wants to do whilst giving advice like you said. A lot of those smaller companies probably wouldn't be as accessible without seeing him get parts and use them.
Youre channel has been one of the best things i would have ever thought of for spending time with my kids. My son talks about u like your his friend at school. He will tell me " dad, the xmaxx is just the best and toughest, Kev even said its his favorite!" He refers to things we've seen in your videos exactly as it happened even months later. Were working on saving up for an xmaxx cuz he wants to bash and tumble wumble just like kev. Hes gonna wanna send u video of him bashing n ask if hes doin it right.. 😅 thanks for all u do Kevin
I dont thinkg you realise the thousands and thousands in parts and vehicles that rc companys throw at him week in week out. he literally doesnt need to spend a penny, even if he wasnt making hundreds of thousands from youtube.
i buy 99% of the stuff just like everybody else. Even my monster truck isn't sponsored its all paid for by me, and I put 100k into my channel before i made anything back. You can tell what channels are sponsored as they never say anything bad about a particular brand, like rc saylors for example never say anything bad about a horizon product but are happy so say bad stuff about Traxxas, so its very easy to tell who is sponsored and by what brand. You'll see me show good and bad about all brands, no matter who. So before making stuff up maybe get your facts straight first
Kev was the driver behind my first XMaxx, my wife purchased it for me for Christmas. I still have that truck, and for any upgrades I might put on it, nothing major gets installed unless it has first been Kev tested, Kev approved. I know he's definitely put it through the paces.
Hey Kevin. Could be the cold making the plastic brittle. I try to avoid playing in the cold. But we got your great videos to watch when it’s too bad to be outside. Love your videos Kev. Keep up the good work 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
havent tested it yet but heard that its good for the cars to spray them down with muck off bike protect, that will make the plastic softer standing harder bashing and stand the cold better.
Low temps really can do a number on plastic indeed. Though in this case it probably only means the car breaks sooner, breaking it was inevitable, right?
he knows it and capitalizes on it because breaking them gets views that why he intentionally drives them like shit till they break. that very last wreck was completely on purpose to generate view even if its hate or love it gets him views and he knows this
@@hawley13 that seems to be the case as kevin otherwise would be like the other YTers that makes reviews of the cars and do a little bit of light driving. kevin goes all out brakes and fixes the cars and probably none of them is shelf queens.

You gotta love kev dude, I’ve never seen a rc channel making the worlds fastest off-road rc car, one of the best indoor buggy’s, and possibly the fastest rc car, his attitude is awesome, and he spends money just to make us enjoy it, thanks kev
ive been watching this dude for years and i dont even have a rc car. lol i bought one for my son when he started watching with me and we just enjoy watching
Kevin Saying Peace from the U.S Columbus Ohio! The first RC truck I had was back in 77’ 78’ until I saw your channel I would’ve never got back into the sport! I have my 2 Favs MAXX and a RUSTLER! If you get rid of the 8s MAXX I want it!
I think you're right about the plastic on the chassis. My original chassis that came with my XMAXX lasted 3 years before it cracked. When I replaced it I have since replaced 2 chassis in a year. Something is off about the material. I know it's not the cold weather cause it doesn't get under 60 degrees here during the day.
I realize Kev makes bucks from all of this but damn, that was like several thousand wasted in an instant (between all of the trucks and their upgrades). And you can't blame Traxxas for really any of those, it was freezing temps, we know from the ice the kid slipped on, and smacking them on pavement with no tire to absorb the shock, I wouldn't have expected any less. I cannot get enough of these videos, they are getting me through this winter. Thank you Kev, you are my favorite basher on YT!!
This is exactly what happens when a company needs to make profit quarter after quarter. They debut with an awesome product And from there on cut corners until their product is no longer as good
I found this out the hard way. Kept breaking proline raid 5.7 wheels which were mounted to MX57’s so not cheap. I thought they were absolute garbage until I tried them in warmer weather and they were virtually indestructible on a 35 lb. Kraton 8s. Anything below 50F they’re about as durable as a wine glass though.
It's much cheaper to buy it RTR. RC companies make a lot off replacement or upgrade parts. I love building RCs but I have spent more from buying each part. 😢
8:00 The clicking noise is 99% the differential. Also I love ur vids, the way you upgrade you rc cars then bash them to the limits, not go easy on them shows u work hard and u bash hard. Keep it up
It's not a big deal if you break it, it's like $5 to $100 in parts if you break one part, or have a catastrophic crash. I drove my buggy into a car tire in a parking lot and snapped it in half just like that. It was a $30 repair. Some people just like wrenching on RC's, and pushing the limits and breaking stuff is what gets you wrenching... The car isn't ruined as long as it's a hobby grade car, every part is available to purchase. I took it easy on my bandit, but I still had to fix it quite a few times from worn out parts, to logs i didn't see, a friend crashing into me, a failed jump, and on and on... Especially after I went brushless!
I had a tire blow up right in my face, blacked both my eyes and damn near broke my nose, 😂 That was just a 1/10 brushed 2wd, I couldn't imagine getting hit in the face with a XMAXX tire on 8S, 😳
Traxass tough baby! I love how the Arrma wheel failed as well but thats all you complained about. Nevermind that everbody has swapped and runs Arrma tires because the traxass tires are only rated for 6s lol 1K for the truck, another 1K in upgrades and it still falls apart
So I just dipped my toes in for the first time and bought a MJX Hyper Go 16210 and, I mean it looks great, full metal parts, shocks, gears, diffs. Fast as f*@#.
