13:17 lol this is hilarious because I literally thought Hank was speaking a few times when you spoke. Depends on the cadence but you sounded identical to Hank a few times, so when you mentioned this I knew I wasn't crazy. Also this is such a great way to re-watch this series! Already re-watched it alone many times including with the Blu-Ray commentary tracks. Which I HIGHLY recommend if you love this show, the commentary tracks are incredible as they include the major players like Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, Anna Gunn, etc; and Vince Gilligan and other directors. It's not just all about the fine detail like most commentary, although they do dive into that, but Bryan especially jokes around a lot and it's really funny. It's like listening to a group of people just hanging out casually watching a show that they were apart of. The first two seasons I think only had a few commentary episodes each but I believe by season 3 they do one for every single episode until the finale. GREAT way to re-watch this show if you need an excuse!
what you saw was walt getting a treatment for his lungs, likely to help strengthen them. chemo is usually done through an IV. my mom had months of chemo and she had a port - basically an IV hook-up that was in her arm at all times. i'm sure there are other forms of chemo, though, as well. then there's radiation which is an entirely different thing/process used against cancer.
Breaking Bad is so powerful because everything from the scenes, to the dialogue, to the situations is just so visceral and feels so real, it's incredibly relatable.
I love your reactions, and I love when you guys get emotional and we get to hear your thoughts and ideas about a scene or shot. But I have to say that watching you guys sitting in silent appreciation of a great monologue like Bryan Cranston's, speaks absolute volumes about his acting and the beauty of this show.
Man, I forgot how good this episode was. It gave such a weird mental dilemma for Walt and his family. It also further explored Walt's mentality and thinking. Plus Walt and Jesse both having bad experiences with old friends/potential partners demonstrated how much these two actually need each other. This was also the first example of the great speaches Bryan Cranston gives in this show, there's many more to come.
Nikki and Steven thank you both so much for putting out all these videos today. You guys are incredibly busy but are still dishing out these videos. Thanks for caring so much for your subscribers 💜💜💜💜

@@jesuschrist5417 GoT is my favorite but it has many flaws specially the last few seasons, breaking bad on the other hand is perfectly written and acted, but I'm way more invested in GoT story and its characters.
@@muhammadgalal98 Bro I feel exactly the same. I recognize that BB is the better show but I am way more hyped for GOT and is like soooo close to my heart, also the emotions and feels that it gets and finally but not last Battle of the Bastards the single most epic thing to ever come out on TV
If only the writers of GoT still have the source material that the show was based one, they would've crashed it, it would've been the absolute best. but still they have a chance this season to fix what they've ruined after they had passed the books.
That scene where Walt explains why he doesn’t want treatment is exactly what I have been asking myself when I make decisions. I always ask myself "will you regret that later?" So far, all my life decisions, some of them work out and some others don't. One thing consistent, I don't regret a bit cause I've thought all of them through beforehand.
My dad and I used to watch this show together. He was diagnosed with prostate cancer right after season two ended and passed away in 2011, a little over a month after season four premiered. It was one of his favorites and is still is one of mine. Cranston really is an Actor's Actor. The "Talking Pillow" scene is one of the hardest scenes for me to get through any time I revisit season one, knowing in retrospect that all of Walt's feelings about keeping his dignity was probably what was also going through my dad's head at the time, before he decided on treatment. It's been eleven years since he passed but this show holds a special place in my heart and I always think about him when I watch it. I'm a few years late on watching you guys react to it and I'm a newer subscriber (also just subscribed to Patreon) but just wanted to say that I'm really looking forward to continuing your Breaking Bad journey and working through the playlist! So much love to you both. 💜
I thought that cancer intervention talk was one of the best moments in the whole show. It was so real and gripping and so well acted out by everyone there. Such a great scene.
I'm Portuguese and I follow your reactions about GoT and BB, I speak and understand little English, because my school age has been there for a long time ... but believe me I love to see and hear your comments, there is my way there I understand you. Congratulations on your work and dedication ... make an unbeatable pair, and my friends take care of themselves, because BB is starting to warm up, and it will burn a lot, believe me ... this series is amazing. Hugs from Portugal.
One of the greatest parts of Breaking Bad is it's ability to divide it's viewers on what is right and what is wrong. It's great to see you guys disagreeing and discussing your difference of opinions because when it comes down to such a complex and subjective story like BB there is no black and white.
Fun Fact... Anthony Hopkins wrote a fan letter to Bryan Cranston saying "Your performance as Walter White was the best acting I have seen-ever." ... it is amazing that an actor with such great experience saw what many other viewers have seen in that tv-show... google it, the whole letter is amazing :) He watched the whole show in two weeks :]
Great actors and artists easily recognize other great actors and great art. Also, Hopkins raved about the show and everyone's performances in the show. It was a really passionate and thought out letter and just the fact that he went out of his way to do that says a lot. It was a great act of humility and honesty by Hopkins that he didn't have to do, but was clearly compelled to....I also found it very interesting how so many well known and star actors in Hollywood were practically begging their agents to land them a part on the show, LOL, like Samuel L. Jackson and some others..
Till this day I wonder if one of the several Bounder motor homes they used in this show was our familys growing up. We had the exact same year, model and color they use in the show; even the same curtains. My dad sold in on consignment years ago and we never knew where it went. Those beast have a 454 motor and only got 7 mpg.
I really appreciate you guys replying on my comment yesterday - and all of the community that shared and gave their condolences etc as well... For me personally even after being through everything i have don't ever worry about offending - I love you guys reactions etc - I'm here for all of it. 💜
Reminds me of my uncle (who loved breaking bad) but when he was diagnosed he did treatment, did everything he could, but there came the time where he just said enough was enough. He was tired of being poked and prodded and knowing he was going to die anyway. And he worked remotely his whole sickness so nobody knew he was sick. He tried to be as stoic through it all as he could. It’s hard to know what the “right” call is. You want to fight but it’s so personal to each person/family what that means for them
Wasn't expecting a BB vid today, what a pleasant surprise! 3 vids today? Avengers, BB, AND a funny AF GoT parody?!?! My day started pretty shitty...Thanks for making it much more tolerable, and making me laugh! 😁❣💜
I was PREPARED for this! I think the intervention scene is my favorite scene in all of season 1. For various reasons. Can't wait for this, having an absolute terrible day. Let's go!
There are a lot of lighter moments mixed in with moments that will make you stop breathing while waiting to see what happens. It is a great show, glad to rewatch with yall.
17:49 This was the scene I was waiting for! Being able to play the Jaded Teacher, the Struggling Husband/Father, or the Meth Cook aren't what earned Bryan Cranston all those Emmys: It was scenes like this, when he can show a explore a very real and dark part of the human experience, our Mortality.
Great video, just to say that I love your channel, discovered it a couple of days ago, already catchedup on game of thrones, breaking bad and black mirror. Definitly the best reaction channel there is. Love you both, not overreacting, sharing your emotions and points of view and you genuinely seem to be great people. Love from France !!
the first machine Walt was in is a radiation machine. this episode hit me hard, my mom survived cancer but my stepmom died of cancer, had a lot of family members also died of cancer. i was 12 years old going through watching my mom fight and lose both her breast, it was difficult but im glad she fought.
This morning my best friend at work finally told me what was bothering him which was a cancer scare. He got the all clear yesterday and told me today which lead to a major man hug session.
I love watching you guys. I know everyone else does here as well. Most of us know you both have the biggest hearts and would never intentionally hurt anyone’s feelings, ever. So it’s okay to not worry anymore about being so careful on the subject of cancer. It’s okay to laugh and enjoy the show. We all get it my friends. You guys are so kind and caring no worries here. Hugs 💜💜💜
The same topic of whether the person who has cancer gets to choose whether they go through treatment or not or if they just capitulate to the wishes/demands of their loved ones to "do whatever it takes to stay alive...hopefully" is being dealt with in one of the finest network dramas of the current decade, One In A Million (which has some tones similar to the also excellent This Is Us, though more about a group of friends instead of siblings/parents). Not really a show for reacting to, but it puts tears in my manly eyes pretty often. In a good way? :)
💜💜 I really love watching your reactions, Breaking Bad is my favorite show of all time!! Just being able to relive the series through fresh eyes thank you both for taking your time out to take us along for the ride with you!! I think that even though he doesn't wanna go through the treatment to exist, he also knows that if he doesn't do this he will still be leaving his family dead broke with no way to pay for the mortgage, schooling, monthly bills on a single mother!!💜💜
you guys were reacting. the looks on your faces said it all. you don't have to talk all the time. we're watching how this affects you guys and there's time at the end to discuss things. Walt is a proud man and he doesn't want to accept "charity" from a guy who he resents.
What Breaking Bad & Game of Thrones do so well is demonstrate the conflict between strict moral choices and "right" choices. On the surface they may sound like the same thing, but often they are nowhere close. GOT is largely predicated upon Ned Stark's ignoring the strictly moral, honorable thing and "doing whatever was right" (per Jon Snow), i.e. lying about baby Jon's origins to everyone instead of fighting for infant Aegon's birthright. Walter White is faced with the moral/legal choice (charity for his treatment) vs. what feels righteous & honorable to him, which is earning it by any means available to him. I love that there are no easy answers with these complex characters. I suppose in his way, Ned Stark "broke bad" too.
The more you restrict and control your kids, the more they'll go wild and do stuff they're not supposed to do when they grow old and become independent. Telling from my personal experience as a former kid 😛 Never be ultra controlling and exvessively strict. Give them some breaking space. Balance is the key.
Kanishk S on the other hand being to free doesn't always work either. My parents didn't discipline me or set boundaries. I also never had to do anything I didn't want to. Now I'm 35 in a dead end job.
Of course setting them totally free is a bad idea. But that's something everyone knows. I'm just pointing out that going to the other extreme and being excessively strict and restrictive is also not a good idea. Maintain a balance.
My brother-in-law died of cancer and I know there were a lot of complicated feelings between him and my sister (regarding how he would spend his last months). Funnily enough they also had a baby on the way like the show. Amazing writing and acting.
WOW. This was so hard to watch... i i know same thing happend to everyone who's lost someone to fucking cancer. Watching Walt starting the quimo made me remember all that horrible process. It doesn't matter how strong you are, how fast you are, how good you are at actual fighting, you can't defeat cancer that way. You can't punch cancer, you can't grapple it, you can't kick it. I'm a martial arts student and seing this was a shock difficult to explain. My dad wa a very phisically strong man but by the end of the therapy he was a shadow of himself. He literally couldn't go to the bathroom alone. He couldn't eat by himsef, he was like a baby, helpless and i will never forget the look in his eyes. So ashamed, so sad, so angry because he knew he was a burden to everyone and he knew he was dying... I'm sorry if i write all this shit guys, it's just to share a little bit of perspective on the subjects that this show deals with. Enjoy life, enjoy your parents, enjoy your health and the benefits of your lives. You never know when your whole world can be flipped upside down in a matter of months.
I agree they should watch Better Call Saul but I dont think it should be a reaction show, its better for them to watch it on their own. It's very slow paced.
No, that show is absolute trash. It took the same amount of seasons for him to become "saul" that it took Breaking Bad to start, tell a great story, and finish. That fact alone tells you BCS is just another AMC cash grab with no real direction where they want to take the show.
locomojoboy2 that’s not true at all, its character driven and just because it’s not packed full of action like breaking bad doesn’t negate that it’s a good show. the writing is top notch.
19:05 you might not know this but Walt’s dad died of cancer so when he says “that’s how you would remember me” he’s not talk figuratively he’s talking literally, from first hand experience
"PURPLE HEART"There's nothing like this show, it makes you rout for people that you love to do bad things, you just fall in love with Jesse and Walt, but they do such bad things, CRAZY! Can't wait for the next episode, you'll get to meet Heisenberg!!! Love you both!!!
14:14 no one who enjoys meth and/or deals drugs would toss that out. That would still fetch a few grand on the street. His friend would be scooping it out of the sand and putting it through a mesh strainer. Or even separating grains of sand, one at a time, with tweezers. I would, and I don't even like meth that much.
I think the decision as to whether or not to seek treatment should be made by the person that has cancer and that the family and loved ones should respect and support that decision!
I like to think I'm good at reading people, that said I have no doubt that both of you will make great parents. Also loving this reaction series and the extra thought and commentary you provide, looking forward to the rest!
Looking back, thinking how it could've all ended here if walt would just accept elliot's offer to help with his treatment. Walter you're such a dumdum. Edit: I always believe undergoing treatment is the right choice. Without it, the cancer can still make walt experience all that 'wasting away' that he associated with the treatment.
This was a particularly heavy episode. There are light episodes, which you already know, and everything in between. Someone put it very well in the comments of a previous episode. to paraphrase... There are great shows, and then there are masterpieces. (purple heart)

Everything is done so professionally all the time and that is why you two are my favorite reaction channel! Thanks for the great videos Nicki and Steve! Keep it up! 💜💙
I'm so happy I found this channel and get to enjoy my fav shows with you guys. I'm moving to a different country this week and at least I can watch you guys if/when I'm feeling lonely
"I can't believe that I am cheering them to do bad things" that's what Breaking Bad does to you
That scene with the talking pillow is the moment I realized they had a top tier cast!
“YO WASSUP STIKKERS?!”
-Steven by Season 3
Aaron Paul made Jesse into one of my favorite characters of all time. And Bryan Cranston is incredible.
Skinny Pete! Combo! Badger! Meth-head avengers assemble!
what you saw was walt getting a treatment for his lungs, likely to help strengthen them. chemo is usually done through an IV. my mom had months of chemo and she had a port - basically an IV hook-up that was in her arm at all times. i'm sure there are other forms of chemo, though, as well. then there's radiation which is an entirely different thing/process used against cancer.
I love Nikki's straight savagery about Walt blowing up the car.
It's one of the top 2 most underrated episodes of the series, easily, IMO. It's a critical episode to the plot setting..
Nikki and Steven thank you both so much for putting out all these videos today. You guys are incredibly busy but are still dishing out these videos. Thanks for caring so much for your subscribers 💜💜💜💜
💜💜💜 your guys’ reactions are always genuine and that’s what makes it awesome. If there’s no talking that’s ok because your faces say it all - we experience it the same way too. Love you both!! So excited for this journey
So true...
"Helicopter, Bitch!!" my favourite Badger quote
Breaking Bad is one of the best tv shows, ever. I'm glad that we all get to join you on your journey, as you enjoy it, too.
One more thing............ purple hearts, Yo 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
It's not my favorite show but it's the best imo
@@muhammadgalal98 Interesting comment. What makes you say it's not your favorite but still the best?
"I can't believe I'm gonna cheer for them to do bad things! "
Haha. Welcome to Breaking Bad.
I thought that cancer intervention talk was one of the best moments in the whole show. It was so real and gripping and so well acted out by everyone there. Such a great scene.
love that you guys uploaded three videos in one day. you guys are amazing! love all of your reactions, you're great people
I'm Portuguese and I follow your reactions about GoT and BB, I speak and understand little English, because my school age has been there for a long time ... but believe me I love to see and hear your comments, there is my way there I understand you.
So deep and great acting by Walt ...
it gives me chills ........
"pseudo" is pseudoephedrine and it used to be a primary ingredient in the meth recipe!!
You want to fight but it’s so personal to each person/family what that means for them
Jessie is not stupid, he's just an underachiever.
Wasn't expecting a BB vid today, what a pleasant surprise! 3 vids today? Avengers, BB, AND a funny AF GoT parody?!?!
My day started pretty shitty...Thanks for making it much more tolerable, and making me laugh! 😁❣💜
Oh, I had no idea about the right click for emojis on the computer... Learning something new everyday with Nikki & Steven! 💜💜💜💜
17:45 That little exchange will come back in Season 5B.
I didnt even know that Jesse could use such words of sophistication!
It's amazing how well they drag you along. I love this show
I was PREPARED for this! I think the intervention scene is my favorite scene in all of season 1. For various reasons. Can't wait for this, having an absolute terrible day. Let's go!
I love seeing you two get drawn into Walt's speech. I remember that being the moment I was blown away by how good Bryan Cranston is as an actor.
There are a lot of lighter moments mixed in with moments that will make you stop breathing while waiting to see what happens. It is a great show, glad to rewatch with yall.
17:49 This was the scene I was waiting for!
Being able to play the Jaded Teacher, the Struggling Husband/Father, or the Meth Cook aren't what earned Bryan Cranston all those Emmys:
It was scenes like this, when he can show a explore a very real and dark part of the human experience, our Mortality.
Knowing what's to come, hearing Nikki say "you gotta have some pride still" about Walt is kinda funny
I'm so happy y'all are watching this show. I can't wait for the rest of this crazy ride.
the first machine Walt was in is a radiation machine. this episode hit me hard, my mom survived cancer but my stepmom died of cancer, had a lot of family members also died of cancer. i was 12 years old going through watching my mom fight and lose both her breast, it was difficult but im glad she fought.
I would love nothing more than to see Vince Gilligan work with D&D on anything!
The two of you are in for an emotional rollercoaster!
Hugs 💜💜💜
and walt not wanting to be remembered that way by his family and friends is what he talked about to Junior about his own father in the episode "Salud"
I really like the noodle gift; sentimental value YO!
Also Walt is a very proud man.
Also also, I absolutely love the soundtrack of this series👏🏻👏🏻
"that's an intervention biatchhh" idk why that made me laugh so hard lol
Steven: I can’t believe I’m going to cheer for them to do bad things!
That was me the entire series.💜
you guys were reacting. the looks on your faces said it all. you don't have to talk all the time. we're watching how this affects you guys and there's time at the end to discuss things. Walt is a proud man and he doesn't want to accept "charity" from a guy who he resents.
I love how they're being affected by it in that absorbed and deep way. It shows they're really watching it and being real.
This episode hits different when you have someone who fought against cancer. Well, the entire show
that speech at the end has become legendary.
Phenomenal acting display god damn
11:39 Yeah right Jessie. Basic Chemistry lol
The more you restrict and control your kids, the more they'll go wild and do stuff they're not supposed to do when they grow old and become independent. Telling from my personal experience as a former kid 😛
Never be ultra controlling and exvessively strict. Give them some breaking space. Balance is the key.
Kanishk S on the other hand being to free doesn't always work either. My parents didn't discipline me or set boundaries. I also never had to do anything I didn't want to. Now I'm 35 in a dead end job.
Your experience as a kid doesn’t mean you know how to be a parent. Lol. Stop it.
Of course setting them totally free is a bad idea. But that's something everyone knows. I'm just pointing out that going to the other extreme and being excessively strict and restrictive is also not a good idea.
Maintain a balance.
perfect timing, thanks guys :D
So true, my dad died of cancer as well. It was the worst feeling ever.
After Breaking Bad u can Watch better call Saul!:)
@Leo actually there are a lot
@@locomojoboy2 I disagree, the show is great, there are other very interesting characters like Gustavo and Mike.
locomojoboy2 that’s not true at all, its character driven and just because it’s not packed full of action like breaking bad doesn’t negate that it’s a good show. the writing is top notch.
Come on. Try not to spoil it.
On the pillow it says appreciate the little things, then Walt smells her pillow and looks at her little things and changes his mind
I think the decision as to whether or not to seek treatment should be made by the person that has cancer and that the family and loved ones should respect and support that decision!
10:52: "Isn't their survival more important than your pride." -- Jon Snow, Game of Thrones :D
15:30 Badger is nuts
I forgot how much I love this show
I like to think I'm good at reading people, that said I have no doubt that both of you will make great parents.
Also loving this reaction series and the extra thought and commentary you provide, looking forward to the rest!
My grandmother once said that if you hug your child at least one time each day then he can't go wrong in life
Looks like YO is gonna be the new Jon Snoooo!
Love you guys! Great analysis of the show and characters!
I love that "Yo" has become the new "Jon Snowwww". Watching Nikki's eyes roll is always amusing.
Ben Kohlmeyer so true. Love the eyerolls. I associate the word bitch much more than yo with Jesse though.
As someone currently in treatment (again) I see Walt's view, however I place a great emphasis on my family's wishes.
So will all your game of thrones memorabilia behind your sofa be turned into a "make believe" meth lab as you get more into the season??
Enjoy watching these reaction Vids! I enjoy watching peoples first time reaction videos especially when I watched it and know what happens lol
