The whole scene with everyone telling walt what they think he should so is so powerful. And walt jrs whole part just breaks my heart. Its such an impossible situation. The acting in this show is beyond A++++++
I love this episode because it really hammers home that Walt has a prideful streak a mile wide, and it’s consistently the reason he hurts the people around him
It also explains why his pride is so big. He said his whole life he felt like he didn’t have a say in what he did, but he found out in the pilot that he was really good at something (cooking meth). So that’s why at the end of the episode he decided to stay in that business bc he realized he could actually make something of it.
Understatement of the century, this is the episode that hammers in that he never 'had to cook meth'', he had a choice to just not go into it, right at the start. But that damn pride, he wanted to do it himself (even though accepting elliot's help would still be partially because of his own succes)
I'm enjoying seeing you two watch this because it actually feels like just two friends watching a show together. Nothing feels forced, and your dedication to Jesse is lovely.
the acting from bryan cranston in this show from start to finish season 1 to 5 is the greatest performance ever in tv or film truly a tour de force ...pinkman is pretty good also ....Bitch! #YO
i hate how accurate that family intervention thing is. Skylar wants to frame it like everyone is being heard but the truth is she's just trying to pressure Walt into letting others make decisions for him. But at the same time you can't blame her.
It's only what she's been doing all this time. Skyler thinks she knows what's best, and that everything should be her decision. What does Walt eat? Skyler's call. How does he spend his free time after working two jobs for his family? Skyler's call. How does he deal with the boss from a different culture? Skyler's call. Does Walt get to smoke pot? Skyler's call. Go to a party with and for people he has not seen in years, where he looks like a failure and a fool? Skyler's call. Hey, look at her ridiculous & garish outfit, pointing out to the whole world that they don't belong here. Does Walt get to keep his situation private from the man who is lapping him in the race of life and is married to his old girlfriend? Skyler's call. Does Walt get to be offended at his son refusing to use their shared name, implying he does not want to be associated with his father, or do they indulge the little shit? Skyler's call Does Walt get to have a relaxing family meal with his sister- & brother-in-law, without the shadow of cancer hanging over him? Nope, Skyler has to be dramatic. For a special birthday sexual treat, does Walt get actual affection and intimacy from his wife, or just a one-handed tuggie from woman paying more attention to her computer auction? LOL. Plus, as a bonus, he gets mocked because for some reason, the abdominally swollen, middle aged fully dressed woman isn't giving him a raging boner when she gropes him without warning. After all that, who can be surprised she thinks his private medical decisions are her choice to make?
It's messed me up when Walt Jr. Said Walt was being P*ssy and that said What if they had given up on him. And that hes been through so much and Walt wont even do Chemo . So powerful. That scene is one of the best in the show, that family cancer intervention scene. Because that's his a real family might act in many ways and it was interesting even though it was slow and dramatic and character driven. Great recation ladies as always
@Ali Chaudhry so that's why was he crying killing Crazy-8 and almost let him go if not the piece of that plate? He knew about his "darkness" at that point? He also "right from the start" knew that he is capable of killing 9 people(witnesses) in 2 minutes chilling infront of the window, when he was crying and walking three days around Crazy-8 who was going to kill him and his entire family? The only things Walter knew about himself in season 1 is that has nothing to lose and that he wants to feel himself important for once in his life and himself to be provider for his family - that's what he considered as "awake". Your comment is absurd and trash. Walter was developing his darkness throughout the whole show and changed because of the traumatizing experience and extreme situations. Walter in episode 1 would have never let Jane die, Walter who let Jane die wouldn't have killed 10 witnesses in cold blood... The whole point of the show that Walter was changing, and constantly becoming worse.
Can't wait for the next one. Btw your reactions are awesome. You pay attention to details, care about the characters and catch the subtleties of the characters' motivations. 18:42 The intervention scene is one of my favorites of any show, everything about it is amazing. Writing, acting... I am surprised that people don't usually mention it when they talk about the best scenes of this show. But it has so many incredible scenes that I guess it's difficult to choose.
Loving to see how much you both are enjoying this!!! The writing, the dialogue and the acting increases so much! Obviously the greatness of the show has begun... but it's barely revving up its engine to what it gloriously becomes!
the actor playing walter jr actually has cerebral palsy, so everytime i watch that intervention scene, when he's telling his dad "what if gave up on me? all the stuff ive been through?" i can see brian (walter) building up empotion, not only cause hes a damn good actor, but pulling from real life.
I am literally in the middle of following the show with Brandon's Reactions but the show is so good that I started it all over again with you guys. I can't wait to go through it all over again with you guys. Great work! P.S. - Mark my words, Jesse is your new Jamie.
LOL, I love that in just five episodes time Lola and Milena are saying "bitch" every few minutes and have become Walter and Jesse's number one supporters, cheering them on to "Go make meth, bitch". 😂🤣😂 The Power of "Breaking Bad". Ladies, not sure if you've ever seen the 2000 - 2006 sitcom, "Malcolm in the Middle" but if you have you may recognize Bryan Cranston aka Walter White as Hal, Malcolm's Dad.
He's a great contrast with Walt. Hank speaks his mind even when he shouldn't and doesn't have Walt's genius, but deep down he is humble and wants to do the right thing because he cares for people, whereas deep down Walt is a narcissistic psychopath who only does the right thing when he fears the consequences of being found out.
Do they read the comments? I really hope not, because there's a lot of those obnoxiously smarmy comments where they all but say what's going to happen whilst not explicitly saying it so they can maintain deniability.
It’s always the worst part about RUclipsrs watching a new show. The comments from people hinting/insinuating at things that happen or don’t happen in future seasons. As you said, it’s obnoxious.
you have never seen the likes of this show ever in your life..ever. enjoy it girls also this is the answer to everything mr white will become in that one scene at the party. three letter word...
I feel a little bad for badger i mean he just drove all over the place stealing sudo and Jesse just keeps throwing it out hey Jesse if your going to throw it away anyways help a buddy out and st least give him some free meth to do whatever he wants with it and Jesse can even smoke it himself if he likes his own still or mayhe is spoiled by Walters crystal meth he doesn't want any regular meth now lol for real though let him have some for free if you don't want to sell those batches and throw it away
The whole scene with everyone telling walt what they think he should so is so powerful. And walt jrs whole part just breaks my heart. Its such an impossible situation. The acting in this show is beyond A++++++
"I've got the talking pillow now."
I am the one who talks
Hank's baseball and poker metaphors are so funny
I love this episode because it really hammers home that Walt has a prideful streak a mile wide, and it’s consistently the reason he hurts the people around him
It also explains why his pride is so big. He said his whole life he felt like he didn’t have a say in what he did, but he found out in the pilot that he was really good at something (cooking meth). This episode is the key to Walter's entire personality. The cancer might have been a spark for the drugs, but Walter is extremely prideful.
Very true.
Pride is the worst enemy in this show
Understatement of the century, this is the episode that hammers in that he never 'had to cook meth'', he had a choice to just not go into it, right at the start. But that damn pride, he wanted to do it himself (even though accepting elliot's help would still be partially because of his own succes)
@@eduardocelis6710 Of the 7 deadly sins, Pride is the father and mother of all the others.
Its about social justice.
I'm enjoying seeing you two watch this because it actually feels like just two friends watching a show together. Nothing feels forced, and your dedication to Jesse is lovely.
The "Helicopter, Bitch!" always gets me xDDD
I love Badger. "We might see javelinas!" He's a delight, and it's always a joy to see Matt Jones pop up in other stuff after BB.
The most hilarious part is him spinning Jesse while saying, "Helicopter!! Bitch!!".
17:31 "I just want to see Jesse happy"
Oh Lord.
They have no idea.
Yeah I was about to comment this 😂
OMG...
Well he was. Occasionally.
the acting from bryan cranston in this show from start to finish season 1 to 5 is the greatest performance ever in tv or film truly a tour de force ...pinkman is pretty good also ....Bitch! #YO
Even Anthony Hopkins himself wrote to Bryan about his acting as WW
Aaron Paul has some amazing moments in this though. I'd say there are some Emmy worthy moments in 4x7, 5x9 and 5x11 in particular.
i hate how accurate that family intervention thing is. Skylar wants to frame it like everyone is being heard but the truth is she's just trying to pressure Walt into letting others make decisions for him. But at the same time you can't blame her.
"We need to talk" usually means "I want to say something to you."
💀💀💀💀 deadly accurate
It's only what she's been doing all this time. Skyler thinks she knows what's best, and that everything should be her decision.

LMAO for the enthusiasm about staying in the illegal drug business. XD
It's a good show that can make us empathize so much.

@Ali Chaudhry Of course, no one knows how he feels, because they dont have cancer and they arent him
@Ali Chaudhry because it wasn't about "who he really is", and Walter knew nothing about himself. This show is about transformation
@Ali Chaudhry so that's why was he crying killing Crazy-8 and almost let him go if not the piece of that plate? He knew about his "darkness" at that point? That intervention scene is good - so well written and real. And you're right, you can understand everyone's point of view.
Can't wait for the next one.
Btw your reactions are awesome. You pay attention to details, care about the characters and catch the subtleties of the characters' motivations.

Love that ya'll are loving the show!
It only gets better.
"wanna cook?"
Girls clapping aggressively in excitement.
It's funny re-watching your reactions and noticing how much you two loved him from the start hahahha
Loving to see how much you both are enjoying this!!! The writing, the dialogue and the acting increases so much! Obviously the greatness of the show has begun... but it's barely revving up its engine to what it gloriously becomes!

"Yes, just say yes."
Turns out this decision destroyed Jesse's entire life
Idk why i was happy that Jesse wanted to make better Meth too lmao
I love that y’all are proud of Jesse trying to make the best Meth. 😂
8:03 😂 How Hank reacted is how my dad reacted when he found out I smoked weed. I guess I am like Walt.
Happy to see you're enjoying the show! Breaking Bad just gets better & better each season!
I am literally in the middle of following the show with Brandon's Reactions but the show is so good that I started it all over again with you guys. I can't wait to go through it all over again with you guys. Great work!

Your slowly becoming my favorite reaction channel, keep it up😁
5:03 "omg I want you to do that buy I also want you to cook meth with jesse" that's me for the entire series basically
Lol. Never seen anybody get so happy for that last line in this episode
Hank is the true hero lmao, love that you're starting to really like him
He's a great contrast with Walt. Hank speaks his mind even when he shouldn't and doesn't have Walt's genius, but deep down he is humble and wants to do the right thing because he cares for people, whereas deep down Walt is a narcissistic psychopath who only does the right thing when he fears the consequences of being found out.
