Hey man, found you a couple days ago. I just started buying and reselling on eBay a week ago. So far I’m $500 spent on inventory and $43 total profit after two sales this weekend. So negative -$450 at the moment but I’m hopeful 😂 Your videos have already helped me a ton. Thank you for keeping it real and putting this info out there.
Glad to have you watching. I'll say that's a rough start. Try not to think of it as a race to build a big store but ensure every item you pick up you are for sure going to make a sale and profit based on the sales history of the item.
@@New_Gaming_Chair Depends on what you’re buying. I was more cautious in the beginning but I didn’t have much money then. I only had $60 first time I tried this and needed those to sell so I could source more. It was slow going the first couple months.
Hey Sean, I was in the market for a fabric shaver and I wanted to know if that one held up. Do you still use this or did you end up replacing it for another model?
I have an entire channel with advice. Watch a lot of RUclips from a handful of creators. Research sold listings to figure out what is selling and for how much. Don’t give up. The best thrift stores are typically in the wealthiest areas.
I used the speaker in the shower last night and the quality is good enough. The lights work well but it’s usb connect so you need to have that connection nearby, it’s why I got surge protector to go with!
How long usually the clothing that you purchased sits on the shelves? Or How fast does any item you purchase sell? is it a week after purchase from thrift store, month or longer? Did you have a clothing that never sold? does everything you pick up eventually sells? I know lots of questions 😂 Thanks in advance BTW I do embroidery and my advice get a seam ripper and good pair of reading glasses.
Ya all good questions. Some sell the first day, others a year. I think it’s good once a year to take down some old listings and have a garage sale. Ideally everything you buy sells relatively quickly but sometimes items have flaws and take longer to sell.
Do you have tips how to get ahead of other resellers at thrift stores? Is there a better time of day or week to go? Better to go to goodwills in higher income or lower income areas?
Hey just a quick question, but do you know what to call these pearl snap type shirts where the snap button is almost like a mineral rock? It’s Roper branded. Having a little trouble finding out what it’s called. Thought you might have an idea.
@@TaylorExchange cool thx. I’ll do more research. Best way to describe it is that it looks like faux rock with little holes in it almost like swiss cheese if that makes sense. Pretty sure it’s plastic, but it is made to look like some sort of natural rock. Never seen one like it. Thanks again for your help.
I don’t get too hyped for clothes. Maybe for a week then I usually end up selling them. Both those jackets I decided to list. I have way too many jackets right now 😂
On anything that is Patagonia that has that spelling of different companies on it I went on eBay and picked up a bunch of authentic Patagonia, Northface, Patches all I do is heat press them right on over the company name it sells a lot faster, and for another dollar or two into your cost it’s better than waiting for that special person or messing with the razor blade method in blowing a hole right through it… but only recommend buying those if it is a higher end piece of the brands that you are picking up
A few color temperatures and a few colored slides like blue, red, ect. They are not the highest end but they are light weight and enough to get the job done 👍
I think I've got the mother lode of Tommy Bahama silk shirts because my husband has a bit of a problem with buying shirts and I have about 50 minimum to list, all XL or XXL modern island fit a lot of them
I couldn't disagree more. I look at them like Harbor Freight. You can either go to Lowes and spend $10 on a speed square or find one at Harbor Freight for $3.
Unfortunately, pretty much anything made in China has bad labor practices. Very few items are made in the US anymore. Most of the things we buy these days are from China. I actually compared products on Temu to ones sold on Amazon and Chewy. They were literally the same. The difference is that the buyer isn’t having to pay up for a middleman/middlewoman to purchase the product and list on Amazon etc and then Amazon taking their cut as well. A dog nail filer that I bought for $30 on chewy was on Temu for $8 - exactly the same, down to the photos on the promotional material.
Items I got from them in this video are good and very affordable. I started using the suction cup speaker in the shower and it’s the best. Have you ordered anything from them? Or just falling in line with the other disgruntled folk in this comment section?
@@TaylorExchange that's all that matters. Have you ever seen any Polo Ralph Lauren button up shirts that have large buttons on them? I picked one up and can't find out anything about it.

Fulltime reseller here as well. Just found your channel, ya lost me with the Temu ad read right off the rip lmao. Best of luck brother
So long! 🫡

You gotta spend knowing items won't sell for 90+ days. Its def not fast money

The green one from Temu?
Still going strong.
@@TaylorExchange yes that was the one. Thanks for the quick response! I will order one right now!
Hey just curious if you had three tips for someone just starting out what would they be? And how do you feel about goodwill vs mom & pop shops?

DAMMIT, I've been steering clear of temu but that suction bluetooth speaker and the lights...man.
I used the speaker in the shower last night and the quality is good enough.
The lights work well but it’s usb connect so you need to have that connection nearby, it’s why I got surge protector to go with!
Costco does price adjustments within 30 days as well (in person). Once I got $20 in price adjustments in one visit.
Oh nice, we don’t have a Costco but I’ve heard it’s a good store.

Better income areas usually have better clothes. Thursday Friday stores fill the racks because the weekend is their busy time!

Picnic plaid. Gangnum plaid. You are great with the descriptions
Thank you 👍
Nice kuhls! I would keep those for myself! I've still yet to find outerknown. I'm sure I've passed it up in my earlier days of clothes pickin

Nice! I don’t mess with Northface if it has patches but I’ll pick up just about every Patagonia piece.
You never take personal pieces! Shout out to Paul Cantù.
Trust me I do, but usually sell them after a bit.
@@TaylorExchange sweet. I do the same.

super danny , love those names
Hey, love the videos and your style. Keep it up 👍🏼
I appreciate it. 🫡

do those lights change color?

Definitely be sure to put Dookie Brown in the title 😂🥲

Do you use promoted listings?
I have for the last 30 days and my next video will be over the results.
Temu is the worst. Nothing but fake us coins. You have sold out.
