I'll be honest. I wouldn't say I like all your types of videos. But these are good. If I were still a new reseller I'd consider this video very valuable and even someone who has been doing it for years can still appreciate some of it.
I saw one of my items that sold, made me smile. I learned to look for the item from watching you, It sold in about four hours and made me $57 profit. Thank you.
You rock because you are smart and you are real. I am a long time reseller 😅😅 and I love watching young people do this. It's changing the game. I can remember getting serious shame for reselling! People looked down on you like you were stealing! 😅😅 I still know a guy at a thrift store that when he prices something for me and I accept, he always says, you got me! I never ask for lower prices so he knows that it is a one chance negotiation 😅😅
You are so generous with knowledge and advice, thank you once more! Here's to 2024 being a fantastic year with all of us carrying inventory of quality items and fast sell through rates. Wishing you and you family a wonderful and joyous holiday season.
Digital Cameras in our Goodwill Stores here in NJ are priced a bit higher than $3.00 to $10.00. I paid $12.99 for a Nikon Coolpix L820 and sold it for $60.00 pretty darn quick too. I would say the average price for a digital camera is about $12.99 in our area.
Your advice is priceless. Picking is tough as we have many hungry ebay sellers in my area. I enjoyed Osborn2thrift but he left youtube, likely because he is just selling too much and has his son to co-parent. One thing that amazes me is that as an ebay buyer, I have items saved, saved for literally years. How to sellers justify keeping items for YEARS on a space consideration only?
@onlyluvisreal6691 extremely! I have only watched like 5 of his videos and recently just subscribed and I think he offers an immense amount of value in every video that keeps me excited and looking forward to my future in ebay sales! 😀
I've recently started watching your videos and I really enjoy them. Your presentation is fantastic because you keep it simple and what you say makes sense. THIS video is fantastic because you show how to do research quickly and easily while out and about to determine if something could be worth getting. I did my first thrift store shop recently and I stood there for ages doing "research" as I don't know efficient ways of doing it. I feel like this nugget that you're showing is so useful. I also love that you've included a couple of examples as if you were in the store yourself. This is the learning that I enjoy as it contributes to my confidence going in the right direction, can't wait to learn more!!! Thank you🙏
Glad I found you and appreciate your content- plain and simple and very helpful. I’ve always shied away from electronics bc I worry about testing my everything, batteries-cords needed etc. How do you go about testing so much electronics, or do you, and how do you enter that information in the listing? Again thanks!
You just need to plug them in and check them out. If you have something that doesn't work, you can try to fix it if you know how or can find a video on RUclips about repairing it, or sell it "as is" or part it out depending on whether that would make sense.
Thank you for this step by step tutorial! It helps so much! I’ve been picking up items that look like a good deal, even looking them up in the store, and still come home to find they aren’t worth much. With this knowledge I can hone in on what to look for and then do a better job of researching them!!
You're very smart and I totally appreciate your intelligent videos. I am curious about how you test all of these or if you sell as is. I shy away from electronics for this reason.
Quick question, Do you test all of your electronics in store before you purchase them? Or do you wait to get home? Are there any special ways you test? Please thank you!
I test the electronics in store. Usually there is a VHS tape or DVD handy and just make sure it plays/FF/RW. You don't need a TV to test it with. Digital and Film cameras I just take home and put in batteries and if the turn on that is fine. Carry batteries with you if you like. Check the store return policy too as usually they want you to return electronics with price sticker still on and your receipt.
One of the best ands useful informational videos for ebayers! Thank you for stop explaining how to find sell thru rate and percentages and model numbers, SUPER HELPFUL! No more buying quilts and every vinyl record I see
I have so many Dyson vacuum cleaners. I would never have thought of parting them out as they all work. Looking at what I can get for parts has been a real eye-opener. Thank you so much.
Wow! This video was awesome. My wife and I have been hesitant to try selling on EBay. You have completely changed our minds. Thank You for sharing your knowledge!!!
I am the Executive Director of a nonprofit ministry with a thrift store. I had no idea some of these things sold like they do. I cannot tell you how many vacuum parts we have thrown away because we could not find the complete unit. Thank you for sharing your knowledge! Our eBay store is about to pick up!!
I get that you're an Exec Dir for a non-profit ministry and I respect that, but please don't start jacking up your prices and price out people who resell for a living and/or people who really can't afford anywhere else to shop. I have noticed the bigger thrift stores are starting to jack up their prices thru the roof and pricing us resellers out of the market. It's a real bummer when I see that happening.
@@TheWildwoodPicker for things that we post on eBay, they don’t even go out on the floor. Less than 1% of our inventory makes it online and it’s usually stuff that simply won’t sell in our area. We try to keep prices fair. 2024 will be fourth year of operation and we’ve been quite blessed.

This is great info, but I am wondering where do YOU get all of your items that you resell? I am looking to get into this business but have no idea where to go find all these items for cheap enough to go sell, and in enough volume to really make good money.
What is your process for testing electronics? I’m thinking of the cameras and whatnot, or especially the remotes, how do you know the “true” condition of the item, or do you just list it as “used” and leave it up to the customer to figure out if it works or not?
