Hi, great advice 👍! Also one can find items that sell well but in small quantities... then reinvest the profits to continue building the business... so a few hundred to a few thousand dollars will get you started... you can find local liquidation companies and go see the products in person... then you pick the products you want to sell... I would choose cosmetics... easy to pack and ship... great profits 📈! Just an example! Ryan keep up the great work! Have a great week ☺ 😀! Joe Bee 🐝 from 🇨🇦 🍁 🇨🇦 Canada!

Yea that percentage is fantastic for wholesale. What, two listings? One time. Multi-quantity, very little photos, minimal to no damage, holiday/cold season rapidly approaching. This was almost a no-brainer. If the profit margin and estimated turnover makes sense for your business model, and you have the capital, buy that pallet/box/truckload. Love this.

Just retired, and purchasing in bulk (wholesale) like that would be an awesome way to make some extra income…only problem is that I don’t have that kind of disposable income, or anywhere near the space to store them. I just have to settle for the “dink & dunk” method. That’s not to say I haven’t purchased a bunch at a time (like 48 pcs.), but nothing on the level of a professional reseller like yourself. Best of luck to you.

Few retailers these days make that kind of margin. The only way they survive is by being able to turnover their stock very quickly and having really good payment terms with their suppliers. As you establish a track record for moving stock I am sure you will be able to negotiate better purchasing terms with your suppliers if you have not done so already.

I'm curious on why Free Shipping out performed. Typically it doesn't matter since eBay will sort the item by total price when people search for cheapest. Maybe states that don't tax Shipping price went with the listing that included shipping since that would technically be alittle cheaper. There are only a few states that don't tax shipping so rest of the country would just buy Free Shipping, just because of the psychology of "Hey I like Free".
Also, I've been watching you guys from the very beginning. Absolutely enjoyed you always breaking down those costs/sales, I remember watching one from your old warehouse and it really helped me better understand the business behind this. I don't do wholesale but LOTs of Bulk buying, because I realized from your videos it just wasn't possible to chase after those 50-100%+ margins so many resellers like and scale a business.

    • @RALLIROOTS
      @RALLIROOTS  2 месяца назад

I think Amazon prime just has Americans convinced that free shipping is better. eBay has also said in the past that they give listings with free shipping a boost in search.

But does required your business address to be verified which does take some time for the letter to arrive and you confirm the code that is in the letter. At least that is how they used to do it. Most everything has an overseas competitor who’s selling knockoffs and if I use ads, all the fees and shipping eat most of the profits even for brand new items that cost me 80% less than retail and I sell for 55% less than retail. Maybe personalized items will do better, but IDK.

You have not calculated a few things here
    1) cost of the time and labour involved in selling these goods
    2) opportunity cost : means if you would have invested this amount some where else ( some other products) what would you have earned.
    3) You have also not calculated cost of returns ( if any)
You are calculating 33% profit if you sold all the goods today. But u didnt, so you also need to figure out why you have not been able to liquidate it fast enough, maybe because you are not selling on meta??
You could maybe sell this through your own website to get a more permanent solution for finding customers.... and hence reducing your cost of sale.

You have the ASP wrong. Average sales price per unit is $119 - fees - COGs. I fully broke the numbers down for you in this vid.

Those sell for like 300$ on Amazon though? Pretty sure you could get rid of them in a month there

It’s a condition thing, Amazon is very strict about box condition. These are new open box on eBay and would be considered used on amazon

You r wasting your time bro .First the cost of the unit is too high comparing to sell price you not gonna make money man .don’t forget the time and the storage the people working all those costs money .so in my little experience you are wasting your time .

I got to say those numbers are terrible. 6k profit doesn’t include storage, employees and a fluctuating market those margins will break you. From a numbers standpoint point this is an extreme high risk purchase and business plan.

Grocery stores work on about a 3 percent profit margin. 33 isn't bad

    • @Pacific_Games

@adammonahan687 something that nobody ever talks about is grocery stores are subsidized and given billions of dollars by the government to maintain those low profit margins. They also sometimes have investors AND they can pay their workers so little the majority of their workforce qualifies for food stamps/welfare so employee wages aren't even that much of a burden for them.
They have a lot more advantages given to them to sell the illusion that they operate on razor thin margins so they can raise prices more than needed. This is why despite those slim margins their executives are among the richest people in the entire world.

@@Lmattaaronthe industries that have smaller margins usually are repetitive returns where you don’t have to put in much work… I had a masonry biz and the margins were like 50-70% , I started a cleaning biz recently and it’s more like 10-12 but I the customers are repeat and it’s so much easier for me to run - less stress.
