This is so amazing to watch you are a true artist, most dentists I see are fast which I used to appreciating, but after the fillings only lasting about 5 years, I realized not all dentists are the same, and that sitting for maybe 2 3 hours instead of half an hour, really makes a difference. This is great work! My doctor was rushing when she did mine. That's what I felt, and also after I checked her work, I noticed a black like cavity that was still there. It's small but visible and I hate it! I didn't complain, I was shy that time. But I'm never going back to her after I'm done with braces

This is excellent work. I have not used fibre in my composites.
Don't be too scared of a pulp exposure, just disinfect it and put biodentine on it. I lean more nowadays towards more total caries removal and do biodentine linings over deeper sections or small exposures (they don't happen often).
Makes me curious how you would have treated my tooth compared to the dentist I went to. Had one of my tooth go through a lengthy process and I didn't really understand what the dentist did at that time.
Omg 😭 I wish we had dentists as good as you in my country! But instead we have only bad ones who care about money more about being professional and changing people's lives...

Good job Dr Leon. Use of Multi layered fibre piece is a good idea, but it needs a lot of patience, as it's very difficult to avoid incorporation of air bubbles. You did it with utmost patience and precision.

I have a severe bruxism issue since I was younger, which I never had any idea abt. So long term- it caused me to seriously damage my teeth. I grinded it(unconsciously) to the point of losing my canine and it looking perfectly trimmed. Last time I checked the dentist,he told me I already damaged my enamel. And only gave me a tooth mousse which absolutely was hard to keep and did nothing. I suffer from severe sensitivity. Like,wiping my mouth causes me severe pain which is too sharp it kinda spike up my brain. I wish I know what to do. The other destist told me there is nothing they can do abt the pain. And I was so dissapointed. I believe there is a solution to it.

Doc... You are great!: I wish I had you when I got my fillings... That is extremely clean... it looks like my teeth that got filled here in the U.S and I was not very happy with the results.. It was messy. I can still see few black dotted spot on my few teeth. It was very expensive too.. Dentist in the Philippines is very meticulous with their work! Well done 👍👏.

I just wanna ask doc if while doing this the patient was given anesthesia ? Or if not , does this hurt? Planning to have mine fixed.
No anesthesia was given, slow speed handpiece was used to make sure the patient feel least painful

Fellow dentist here. I admire your passion for quality composite restauration. However, I do have two things to remark.
Do you have links to recent studies about the use of fibers during composite restauration? Promising 20 years seems inplausible as I cannot imagine a study like that has run that long already. Additionally, stability of the tooth is one thing (also, it still has its pulp, so the odds are increased manyfold) but microleakage is another.
The use of the marker also seems excessive. I could see the dentine was still infected by the way the chips looked. It is useful, however, near the pulp. Or maybe you are just using it more for the videos, I don't know.
Try to research about biomimetic dentistry.. it is a whole different world.. where you can achieve 400% bonding strength on dentin.so the chance for micro leakage is greatly reduced.. the masters of it has shown 25 year old restorations that is still intact to this day..

You might not see this but a tip, i like to cut the rubberdam between the teeth before removing to increase patient comfort (not having to pull so hard).
Also once a piece of rubberdam got stuck inbetween the teeth and was very hard to get out, since then I habe ptsd 🤪
