Hello! Thank you for watching! For those who are asking why I didnt use a base or liner..it is because I used the biomimetic approach where you prevent to do root canal treatment as much as possible.. that's why i measured the depth of my reduction.. i should not go beyond 5mm to prevent on touching the pulp.. i didn't have to remove the remaining dentin near the pulp because the structure around it is super cleaned already.. which makes a good seal.. any bacteria left will suffocate or has been deactivated by the chlorhexidine I placed.. and the reason i left the buccal caries is because i want to focus first on the big one first.. and sometimes it might be an arrested caries already ( it will no longer grow bigger).. thanknyou!

Now that is what Im talking about. Finally I found a pinoy dentist who can actually do this kind of procedure, restoring the natural anatomy of a molar. I have been explaining this to most of my dentist and they cannot even understand what im saying. Fee is not of an issue, i am not a dentist but for me the restoration of natural anatomy of tooth is quite an importance.

It depends on the case sir. Most of the time why natural anatomy of the tooth is not restored back to its original form is because of the premature contacts (mataas pag kagat).
Dentist need to make sure that the bite is right rather than the anatomy of the restored tooth to prevent problems on the TMJ (temporomandibular joint) and reversible pulpitis.
So how do they make sure that the bite is right? Well they trim the restored tooth in areas with premature contact, resulting in compromised anatomy but better comfort for the patient 😊

I had a tooth filled like this recently but they actually thought I needed a root canal, but once they got in realized the cavity was not as deep as they thought. They were still afraid that the nerve might have been affected but decided to take a chance and clean it and fill it. It’s been 2 mos and I’m doing fine. I never had any pain with the tooth so I’m glad a root canal wasn’t needed. The nerves seem to be very close to my roots on my molars, but fillings have suited me well often enough. Love seeing a complete restoration. I know my dentist would’ve opted for a crown in this instance. I like your method better as it saves the majority of the tooth. ♥️

By your fine, delicate, hard work, you tried to give the old tooth not only a new lease of Life, but to your patient too, who was hesitating to smile from his heart. I am sure after doing your fine dentistry work, he will not stop from Laughing, but he will make others to Laugh and the one who where Laughing by looking at your patient's face, will ask him, which God did this "Miracle" . Thank you for this beautiful video! Your artistry is impressive. I am wondering why you did not put a crown on the tooth when you saw how thin the distal wall was. Wouldn't it make the tooth susceptible to fracture? Here in the states, we do not do this on molars because the patient usually fractures the tooth and then comes back to complain about the cost of the having to now need a crown. Also, the sensitivity can be unreal when the composite goes that close to the nerve. Is this a new material that we do not know about yet? What has your experience been?

This is very helpful. I have a chip on my front incisor, and after paying for two fillings in 3 months, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I bought some PrimeDent tooth restoration resin, and after watching videos like this, I did my own incisor restoration for just thirty dollars (plus shipping). I played around with the various components to get a feel for how they worked. Finally, I set up everything and built my own restoration. I thoroughly cleaned the area with chlorhexidrine, then etched the area around the chip with an etchant. After rinsing and drying I applied some UV light to the area using a low power UV laser to make doubly sure the area was sterile. I then applied a two part self curing liquid base. Once that had hardened, I mixed the two part self curing restoration compound (like modeling resin) and carefully molded it into the chipped area. I had some small metal picks and spatulas I used to shape the restoration. I masked off the adjacent tooth so that none of the restoration would get on it. This resin cures in about two minutes, but can still be easily smoothed with a diamond file. Finally I added more clear resin as a final "top coat." When I was finished, my wife was AMAZED by the results. Best of all, seven months later, the repair looks good as new. I should mention that this was strictly a cosmetic chip. No dentin was exposed, so no chance of contamination. But you absolutely CAN do this.
