They break down games differently but I watch both now personally as well as The QB School from JT O’Sullivan. Gruden doesn’t pay for NFL rights so he can’t show game footage 😂😂😂

Really wish they would dive a little bit deeper on some of these points - it’s very surface level at the moment. For example, they do a great job of identifying a load of areas from week one where bad fundamentals were costly for teams. I’d have loved to hear Belichik explain *how* they would work on some of those fundamentals during the week, beyond just saying “we need to remember our fundamentals”
Great stuff. One piece of advice when going over the mistakes early in the show, maybe give the proper corrections. What they should've done to prevent the issue. Bill has so much wisdom
Brady was the first time I decided to root for and appreciate greatness while they're still doing it. Too many times you hear, "not this again," "I hate...," and so on. Belichick is the perfect example. Fans dismiss who he is as a person, a mastermind and humorous! Every coach, player, and fan should perk up when you see him teach. Its truly an education and will certainly absorb as much of Coach's savant football mind as possible. Oh and he will coach next season for a really good team. No doubt.
Coach Belichick still showing the great work ethic. How he takes time away from that 21 year old pro bowler to get videos done is hall of fame material
Every NFL team must have at least an assistant coach break down these videos for their upcoming matchups. It's free coaching pointers from Coach Belichick himself
This, the Jone Gruden one, the "stinkin truth" with Mark Schlereth (although there’s no film) and (imo) the AQ Shipley segment on Pat McAffey should be religiously watched and studied by both teams and so called analysts 🔥👏
Trust me they watch more film than you think, they watch every player, look for weaknesses, great matchups, backups, rookies, tendencies, strengths, etc... the good thing about the Texans is they have DeMeco Ryans as a HC, people think he is a defensive guy bc he played defense in the NFL, but he's more than that. He was drafted by the Texans, and even as a rookie he won the Team Captain bc he could instantly read offenses and call audibles getting his defensive teammates in the best position. He knows offense and defense, he is a NFL guru who just happened to be a player, and that hits different in a locker room.
This is a fairly basic overall look at film you might do as a team for overall strategy and key points but each position will dig into matchups and break down film by position separately as they identify what responsibilities if any need to change or adjustments made based on the way the other team is playing.
7:30 - a direct result of the more “athletic QB” instead of a QB who progresses through reads to find open guys. Instead you get guys running around trying to make plays with their feet, instead of finding the playmakers downfield who can score.
Stop the run? Nope - Mixon in this zone run is lethal. Get after the QB? Nah Texans 1st rd Tackles will not allow a sack. Handle Nico & Diggs? Lol sure - ok then Tank beats you. GL with that Bears, that offense is top tier and about to get into gear.
I’m loving this series so much but can we put all of this on the Apple Podcast app? Half of them aren’t on there. I need all this stuff when I can’t sit and watch!
Yes!! So good to hear him speak about the game. I think it’s not wanting to trust playing anybody in preseason due to injury possibilities. I get why refs push back in the first games. It’s good strategy.
I’m excited for these guys to get comfortable on camera and not feel like they have to dumb things down. “He can make all the throws” isn’t something I bet he says in team meetings a lot.
Bill is much more vocal than he was after games. Idk if he still wants the wins record ( I'm sure he does) but he is a great voice in TV breaking down film.
Coach , I have been saying that since RPO's became a big thing that I think teams in the NFL need to have bigger edge guys and I saw the Eagles run some 3-3-5 over in their Super Bowl year and the Pats ran some similar looks even tho I didn't watch their games as much. I thought that maybe some teams wud go with guys more like Cameron Jordan so they can let the db's play the pass option more but teams are still playing with so many smaller edges when I think they should run a nickel look with bigger guys. What do you think of this?
"This episode of Coach is sponsored by NordVPN. When I was coaching the patriots and the giants, I always focused on an elite defense, and when it comes to internet browsing and protecting your personal data, it doesn't get much more elite than NordVPN."

Garropolo’s sample size was low last year - he only played 4.5 games (started 6). That was a big dropoff on rating for him, but also a superquick leash.
You were right. While bears fans are shaking right now, I'm still keeping an eye on them. They're a young team trying to find their identity. The Texans did it last year. Seems like the Saints and Vikings are also working towards a comeback story. Besides this is just the beginning of the season. The best is yet to come
The Bears curse: -2 out of every 10 years- Great defense, good o line, bad qb -When those playoff defenses run out of juice and o line inevitably gets old and hurt, team gets really sucky. -If you don’t draft a qb to save a franchise you lose your job - knowing that your team is a train wreck -qb inherits a bad o-line and zero offensive identity -“we’ll be better than last year though” meanwhile every team around you is getting better too -try to patch together a few .500 seasons and do it all over again after you fire everyone
They are calling more penalties because of the new kickoff rule, the clock keeps running on most penalties so it’s a way to artificially run the game without having as many points because the field position is so much better now on average. They are calling a much tighter game; it’s obvious if you watch the games.
Coach: not calling a timeout in Super Bowl XLIX was the most clutch decision I've ever seen a man make in real time. on the biggest stage, highest stakes - bombs going off all around you
It never gets talked about but it was absolute genius. If the patriots call that time out, seattle has time to argue that throwing the ball is utter insanity and carroll more than likely buckles under the pressure and they hand the ball off to lynch.
Belichick in media is literally the best thing ever 🙌🏼
I still need him to break the all time wins record and then he can media into the sunset lol

This is the best sports media channel ever
I love the coach is doing this I love it he brakes down really great
These videos are so awesome. I think I enjoy them more than watching the actual games.

"Last year in 2003"
That's right, Bill. It's only 2004 and the future is bright and the world is not going to hell.
What I wouldn’t give to go back to 2003 lol. Was a junior in high school, not a care in the world and the Pats winning the Super Bowl. Great time
Down to basics. You can tell he learned coaching in the mid-70’s. Today’s NFL doesn’t deserve him.
Subbed as soon as I found out this channel existed. Hoping for some good insights.
