This request may be difficult to put into a youtube video, but, maybe you could tell a little about how you play as a "guest" when other musicians invite you to play at their show. I'm still amazed at you and PPPP playing stretched-out solo sections and passing solos between two guitar players. What does it take to prepare and how do you think about improv in that situation? I hope you get a chance to rehearse more than a quick soundcheck! That's some complicated song forms.
Thank you! I love your request! That's so important! For the PPPP. I just listen a few times of the song that we are supposed to play... then think about possible soloing ideas. (As much as I can) so I can prepare the song & learn more possible approaches. Just a quick sound check so we don't even play any solos when we do a sound check. So until I do play that show... no ideas! That's a part that so thrilled being a guest player!
