When Ari trolls people and hates on people he's a delicate genius comic. And if he steps over the line Joe thinks that everybody should just forgive him and if you don't, you're the problem. Yet when somebody trolls somebody in comment sections and makes fun of people, they're all mentally ill bad people. Rogan that's not how it works.
Ari is a creepy guy. Bryan Callen, too. MANY of Joe's "friends" are creepy and warped. He surrounds himself with these zilches to look good. Eddie Bravo is the only one who has ever stood up to him, Bill Burr, too.

Ari is horrifying, not as a comic but as a person. I'm not even a fan of Bert, but I'm mad for him, even more so than his friends apparently. What he did completely turned me off from all of Ari's comedy. I'm not missing much.

Bert knows he’s on thin ice, I don’t think he hangs around any of them very much anymore. I feel like Tom has always been an absolute snob but was raised properly so he has proper manners and can handle himself in a business setting bc of his dad. He seems the worst out of everyone honestly, but if he likes you I’m sure he’s decent, but he runs with a pretty elite crowd I bet. Bert fills need in the comedy world with his tour, I went this summer and it was actually really legit. You can tell he’s actively trying to better himself.
Joe has to hang around real comedians like ck and dave and when people see that they think he's legit. When he's really just a talker.

It’s crazy how Joe and that group want their cake and to eat it too. Like they want to be extremely edgy and fight against cancel culture but whenever someone gets irritated or pissed off with them they are extremely offended. I don't know, the only thing Joe doesn't do is read comments under his videos but he's been accepting lots of feedback from many people over the years. It doesn't seem that he is trying to silence people who don't have his opinion. He's just not reading comments. I don't know about his "team that copyright everything" but it seems that any mid-tier to high tier RUclipsr is doing it for money. Not necessarily because they get criticism. Knowing Joe's content and thought process for a while now, I find it a stretch to say that he is a hypocrite and that he is trying to silence other people with other views.

Someone should really tell Bert that his regular issues with crying at inopportune moments and his constant inexplicable "panic attacks" are side effects of his body's physiological dependence on alcohol and its effect on your central nervous system, hormone and emotional regulation, etc. Not even kidding.
And he's on test.
Bert is slowly decaying. He said he's afraid of not drinking than death.
I used to feel the same way and the same stuff would happen to me as far as weird mood swings and appetite loss due to alcohol addiction (physical dependence). As someone who has experienced withdrawals of all sorts, alcohol was the worst and most protracted. I haven't had a drink in a year and I still keep feeling better.

4 years ago I would’ve been so excited for the October crew, I literally couldn’t bring myself to even start this episode. Tom, Bert, and Joe are so out of touch with their old fan base they don’t even know they lost their old fans and only have “civilians” new to comedy now.

I now get that same excitement i use to get with the sober October crew but now when Joe has Mark and Shane on. I can't stand Bert and Tom anymore Bert was always annoying, but Tom and Bert are both unbearable now. Shane and Mark are way more funny anyway.

Not every comedian is funny that rogan supports but least he tries to help them out and make them self aware. Comedy dropped off late 2000s and is making a massive comeback because of joe rogan within the past few years. There's no arguement. Ari, bert, tom, shaub, shulz, bobby lee all suck ass everybody knows. Joe hasnt even had them or posted about them in probably a couple years or so and does maybe one update with them within a year.
Burt 100 percent saw a story of someone afraid of clowns and balloons 10-20 years ago and said "oh that's a cool thing to be afraid of, I'll do that too"
As someone with severe anxiety, seeing Bert in that situation with Schulz and the gang made me furious. And as you said, brought back some bad memories.
Funny, how I somehow have learned to stay far away from guys like Schulz over the years.

Honestly, I think the whole Sober October thing was the start of Tom's transition into this Rich Guy persona he embodies now. Losing weight & getting healthy turned into a lot of vanity and highly manicured Hollywood public image. Money changes people.

The few times he has been teamed up with Shane Gillis on different videos have been absolutely legendary. Waiting for Shane to go on Soders podcast. I'm listening to MASSP old testament for the 2nd time now and Soder was pretty much the first big name comedian to show Shane love. He was also the first ever guest on MASSP and it's hilarious to hear how nervous Shane was before he came on

I've got an example why Joe's theory about online hate is faulty.
I don't like Ari because he spikes his friends. Now, just because his friends forgave him, that doesn't mean I have to like him.
Mainly because he's not 20. He's 50 spiking people in their 50s. That says a lot about hiss character.
It's perfectly reasonable for me to express this online because his friends did what friends are supposed to do and forgave him. He can only get this perspective from strangers.
Plus they are all on each other's knobs to grab money with eachother, they will never cause rifts or mess someone's money up
I hope this logic carries over to other people, like Joey Diaz, who also are drugging people and even worse, are not funny.

"Overexposure". You hit the nail on the head. Too much of anything is not good. Bobby Lee and Theo Von are about the only ones in this group who can get away with it. Schultz will be his own downfall. He reminds me of Tom Cruise at times. It explains why his offsiders laugh at everything he says and does. They're like Ellen's abused staff desperate to keep the boss happy.
It's not desperate. That's the only way Andrew will work with anyone because he's incapable of being genuine. He needs the same kind of people around him.
No matter how you feel about Bert, the clown prank was a dick move.
Why? Nobody was at risk, and, _really,_ he was not afraid of a man in a silly costume. He clearly looks like a person putting on an act that wouldn't fool most people. They didn't dump a box of roaches on his head, or even spill them out onto the desk in front of them, like Penn & Teller famously did to David Letterman (who is terrified of roaches, and was shocked and angered by it, but then realized it was great TV and complimented and praised them for making him lose his shit on TV).
The clown thing with Bert just doesn't carry the same weight, because he doesn't look terrified. He didn't bolt. (That's what people usually do when they're really terrified.)

That clown panic attack was one of the single most uncomfortable things ive seen in a while.
He was clearly having an intensely physical reaction and they were DYING laughing. The most genuine joy i've seen either of them exhibit at the dread of their so called friend.

@@TheNotSure I find that a bit hard to believe, it might have been a circumstantial type of one off, but if true it's not really that weird, lots of pro guitarists have a technician to do it for them on account of switching guitars in between tunes plus Hendrix never knew sheet music or had any lessons. The man just had a guitar and practiced a lot during his time in the army, learned to play by ear, a lot of people can't learn any instrument by ear without lessons but Jim learned on his own and developed a whole new sound in the process. He was a gifted musician, just got his start a bit late and died way too young. People forget his whole body of work came about in the space of about 6 or 7 years after he left the army up until his untimely demise at jus 27 years of age and this lack of training is exactly what made him so special, he learned by ear and played around with his amp in ways no one even thought of at the time, keep in mind heavily distorted guitars and blistering solos weren't as widespread and common as today, it was a whole new ballgame. Black Sabbath wouldn't have even existed as an idea let alone a band at the time, they only appeared a few years before he died and Tommy Iommi cites him as a big influence musicaly... He was a visionary and an extremely gifted musician. Just never had enough time to grow into his prime sadly....

I saw Tom in 2017 in Cleveland and he played a 300 person club and he literally stayed after the show for a meet and greet and met and talked to fans and took pictures/did autographs after the show until the entire line was gone, for like an hour. He has become completely detached from that person, and its sad. Some people have rags to riches stories and they dont remember where they came from and remain humble. Tom really seems to have let it get to his head.

For me being critical and being negative towards someone are two different things. A school bully for example can be negative towards you but never offer real criticism
When you have millions of people who are adamantly against you and simply say the cruelest things they can on a comment section to try to get a rise without any desire to actually fix what they are critiquing then why would anyone blame him for not reading comments. I couldn’t imagine taking the time to read comments when I would have an already insane schedule doing as much as he is, not including the mental toll it would probably take seeing all the hateful slandering comments lol. I have no doubt he would be alright with addressing genuine mistakes he made or discussing points that people disagree with, and you see it many times in his podcast if you actually watch them. He’s human, he’s going to make mistakes and speak out wrongly at times but he hasn’t been delusional in believing that what he thinks is always the right thing.
That is such a good point about them reacting to other people's content but then dishing out copyright strikes!

Panic attacks fucking suck so bad.
I’m not a doctor, but I battle anxiety for singing, and I can say this: anxiety is actually tended muscles and tissues all over the body, and if you can teach yourself to find anxiety on a moment to moment basis… aka, pay attention to your body and see where little muscles are tense (or get tense when you think about something that worries you)… then somehow putting your mind on the clenched muscles and holding it there (enduring the fuzzy vague pain - the pain of fear) then the muscle finally relents. I can’t guarantee it for a panic attack, but start small - you hold the mind on the discomfort and ‘feel it’… decide to endure that little spot of chronically clenched tissues and say ok to it. Sit with the discomfort - keep it as top of mind as you can (when you start thinking about other stuff the discomfort hides in the background and isn’t fixed). That technique turns into watching your body at all times, and slowly getting little pockets of chronic anxiety to relax, and seeing yourself feel and act different in the moments you do. Try it - start small.
