Having recorded these covers over 2 months ago now, I'm glad I finally get to say; To The Pain full album cover is up next! Kind of a deepcut to get the full album treatment but I don't really care. This was one of the top albums I've been wanting to run through for a long time and honestly, copyright issues held it back from happening. There used to be hard blocks on a couple songs on this album but they appear to no longer be in place, at least for now. What can I say about To The Pain... this was Nonpoint at their pinnacle of creativity, musicianship and heaviness. Andrew dropped the guitars down another full step from their usual Drop C that they used exclusively up to this point and those lower tuned guitars really opened up their sound to a whole new level. Filled with some of Andrew's best riffs and playing in general and some really ambitious writing and experimentation throughout. It's a gem.
Always appreciated Andy Goldman's unique flair and style. He also had a really strong stage prescence. Nonpoint have always been one of my favorite bands even to this day, with Rasheed and Jaysin on guitars, but Andy still really stands out. This brings back memories of going to Nonpoint shows back in the early 00s, seeing them with bands like Sevendust, Skindred, The Exies, Socialburn, and Rev Theory. Looking forward to the rest of the album.
Not that you care but everytime you upload a new video i just gotta click my amp on and jam with you, in my mind we're already in a band together! 😂 keep rockin!
i miss the hold nonpoint style of guitar, that psyco distorsion in the guitar i never saw a band who did that way, i will always miss andy goldman i want a nonpoint with a guitar that psyco like Andy Goldman back in the day it was dirty, crazy, heavy, i dont know what need to be done to a guitar to archieve ''nonpoint - Reward'' intro kind of a distorsion
Andy I have a question for you: All the equipment you use to play the guitar, like the amp, pedals etc.. How often do you change them? When a new model comes out or when they get too old or when they break?
