Last year, I upgraded from a series 4 to a series eight. I’m very impressed and don’t see me needing another new watch for hopefully another four years!

I had a galaxy watch 2 active and just got the Apple Watch 9. The Apple Watch does a lot more, but I really prefer the display of the galaxy watch.
Galaxy display are so beautiful i wish apple did something like that
So basically… keep your SE2 or even older models, unless you want more gimmicks you will never use!
Exactly this... some people really need to rethink their choices. Not that I'm against a Series 7/8/9... whatever. But it mostly profits those who really have health problems. Always-on is just some luxury thing, that also drains your battery faster. The watch turns on when you flick your wrist anyway, and that's the only time you'll look at your watch. Before spending so much on Series with smaller screen and GPS only, it would make more sense to spend the extra cash for a SE2 with bigger screen and cellular. If you need cellular, that is.

I ended up going with the Series 8. I was able to order an aluminum 45mm Series 8 for 40% less than the equivalent Series 9 would be. While the 9 has a few interesting features I’m not seeing the value in paying a lot more since the health tracking sensors are the same.
Also, there are rumors that Apple is trying to add glucose and or blood pressure monitoring to the Watch. Hopefully we’ll see one of those sensors on Series 10. I’m planning on trading in when we get a “real” upgrade to the health tracking so I’d rather go cheaper on this generation of health sensors.
I did the same had a series 4 but battery life tanked past month since os10, bought series 8 45mm new for 30% off original price 👌🏽
keep it as long as possible good 3 years by then Apple may have innovated something finally

from series 4, i just upgraded to series 8 today. no regrets i didnt pick series 9....the difference is minimal ro 8. saved me a couple of $ too
series 8 had very minor updates last year. series 9 is a very good model.
I can't stress enough-since buying my first apple watch a few years ago I finally have a watch that doesn't break down, can handle swimming, sweating, etc. and still looks ok for evening wear. The watch is amazing. My only gripe is that the battery is exhausted by the end of the day, or even sooner (apple watch 8). I also have the 9 and it also loses the charge by the end of the day. Again, that said, it's a great watch. I recently dropped an older version of the apple watch and it broke, but, so what? The cost of a used apple watch is under $200. Thanks for the video. Love getting renewed/used apple watches---you can save 40-50% by buying the apple 8 because Apple stops software updating the older versions of the apple watch. If my watch lasts 2-3 years that's good enough, since I now vew watches as semi-consumables, like cell phones.
I have a few weeks with the Series 9, is the 45mm and I use it all day, from 8am to 10pm, and I have never seen it under 50% of battery

If you prefer cellular, go with SE 2 or Ultra 2. SE2 is much more affordable than S9 with cellular function (+$50 for cellular function compared to +$100, already mentioned in the video). And the S series with cellular, the battery drains fast. SE does not have an always-on display, and I found SE has a better battery life compared to S. With a few hundreds more than S9+Cullular, Ultra has the ultimate battery, and the cellular is built-in and is sufficient for one day with heavy workouts and cellular usage. S9 is definitely not.

Series nine in pink is chic and amazingly gorgeously made! Very dim in a dark room perfect in theaters and super clear and bright in the sunlight!!!! Siri gets all my needs and accuracy is on point!
My question is : Will you have problems if you switch from an 41mm to an 45mm because you want a bigger screen size?I mean will there be functionality issues if the watch case is too big?

I have a series 4…debating on the 9. I love my watch, but battery life now is terrible. It doesn’t even get me through a full day when I work out.
Did you upgrade? My 4 out of no where just started struggling to make it through the day so by the time I’m off and headed to the gym I have like 10% left :/ thinking about going for the 8.

Just took this advice and copped a renewed Series 8 + cellular for $270 from Amazon. Got pretty lucky with the battery health. I was hoping for 85% or higher and to my surprise it was at 100%. I'm assuming someone just returned it because they didn't use it. After spending a good afternoon updating everything, excited to go on a 10k run with it later this evening.
I have the Apple Watch 8 45mm and never have a battery problem if I recharge every morning while having my coffee which I always do. None of the new features in the 9 are enough to make me upgrade. Will likely wait until Watch 12+.

My first watch is a serie 9 and I'm really pleased with it, although the battery isn't that great. I finish the day at 20-30%.

I bought se 2 silver aluminum case, 44 mm,Gps version for 22,700 (mrp was 33k)on the last day of the great Indian festival from Amazon, last week, a real-life experience i myself don't use 50% of usage on a regular basis, I mean it won't be much of need, don't you guys feel, this is the best budget and useful watch from apple on this price🤩
i currently have a series 5, which i’ve had since early 2020. i use my watch EVERYDAY, and now the battery can barely last me through a 9 hour shift… i’m debating whether i should get a series 8 or series 9. either way, it’ll definitely be a nice upgrade.

get Series 8, it saves you a lot of money, unless you really need 2000nits.
I went with Series SE2, because Series 8 is refurbished and the battery life might not be as good as Series SE2.

I the series 9 wifi only, at first I was not going to get one but I realized I have the SE first gen and my battery will not last a day on a full charge and it the oldest device in my apple ecosystem, thanks for the video I normally check u and others out before I make any purchases but I got sick and tired of the battery and resetting my watch overall....

At today, Apple series 9 is about the same as 8, most of apple watch series 8 in Amazon are refurbished ones, so I will say Apple 9
The comparison between 9 and SE 2 is partially misleading, as blood oxygen, double tap or period tracking are not at all unique to the 9. Apple watch 8 has all of this, so it seems it was mentioned specifically to elevate the 9 over the SE 2. No reason to buy the new Apple watch if you want to use any of those features.
Can you use the Samsung Galaxy LTE watch as a stand-alone device or only with Apple? I am looking for a device for my teenager for just phone calls and texting only.
I actually would not recommend a 8 or 9 or se 2 definitely not ultra. I have a series 7 it’s cheaper than all those (for the most part) great colors! And all the new stuff sensors and thin bezels a lot smaller than se 2!
In the end I went with the series 9 because I had enough in my budget and also because of the much brighter screen, double tap feature (even if it is not fully functional until this month) faster chip and also because I needed to replace my series 4 which smashed. So this time got a case for it.
The double tap feature isn’t new. It’s just in accessibility.

I had the Ultra first gen, it was good, the only problem not much bands and cannot wear in a formal dinner, it did not match my wedding rings. I switched to fitbit sense 2 and is good but it is a pain in the ass to reconnect it takes forever to upadte with fitbit app and only has alexa. I think either 8 or 9 is good

Honestly I have both the Apple Watch Series 8 & the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, trust me Samsung got many of the features in their Watch 4 almost 2-3 yrs back and at a far cheaper price too
My galaxy s4 beck in the day had many more features, some very useful, that a 15pro doesn’t have
