    The only downside to this comparison was your statement on the stainless steel variants being "...for the looks..." - the Stainless Steel has the added benefit of being a Sapphire Crystal display instead of the regular glass of the Aluminium watches.
    You get the polished looks, but the glass is SO much more durable it's def. worth mentioning.
    I had a Series 5 SS and it was incredibly scratch resistent.

      Yeah, same. My mom saw me looking for a replacement watch band for my Garmin, and she kinda asked me if I wanted a new watch. The screen is a bit cracked on one of mine and the bands break a ton, but I mostly use it for time during tests and work, so a smartwatch isn’t super appealing, especially with the battery life. I think I’ll just stick with my sports watch

    I've had the Nike series 3 for about 4 years now. Worn it everyday through workouts, swimming, beaches, all types of environments. The screen is all scratched up due to the constant wear and tear and its finally slowing down on me. Screen is becoming less responsive and I think its finally time for an upgrade, especially considering how much I use it. I definitely think the temperature and spO2 monitors are a game changer for the series 9. You never know when you could use them. That was the only think that led me to choose the series 9 over the SE.

    There is an alternative option that wasn't put in this video.. buying one of the older watches.
    The Apple Watch's CPU hasn't been upgraded since the Series 6, It has had the same battery capacity since the very beginning at 295mah, the Series 7 for example might have an S7 instead of an S8 chip, but they run practically the same and the Series 7 will give you more features than the SE and would cost less second hand than a brand new SE. It also has the fast charging that the Series 9 has and the SE lacks, which I think you really underplayed by saying it's slightly slower. It can charge to 100% in just over 1 hour, it takes nearly 2 hours for the SE to reach 100%.
    New isn't always best.

  • @Pulpdiction1999
    @Pulpdiction1999 11 месяцев назад +22

    General consensus seems to be that the s9 offers not a lot over the S8, so if you can get a deal on the S8 get that rather than a 9. Will personally be waiting for the upgrade with blood sugar sensor, I think that's what is missing for me.

  • @SpartanWatches
    @SpartanWatches 11 месяцев назад +12

    Choosing the right Apple Watch depends on several factors including your budget, the features you need, and your personal style preferences. Here’s a brief overview to help you decide:
    1. Apple Watch Series 7: Offers a larger, more durable display and faster charging. Ideal if you want the latest tech and don’t mind spending more.
    2. Apple Watch SE: A more affordable option with many of the core features of the higher-end models. Great for those who want a balance between functionality and price.
    3. Apple Watch Series 3: The most budget-friendly option, but lacks some of the newer features and design improvements. Suitable for basic use.
    Consider these factors:
    • Budget: Decide how much you’re willing to spend.
    • Usage: Think about how you’ll use the watch (fitness tracking, health monitoring, connectivity, etc.).
    • Compatibility: Ensure the watch is compatible with your iPhone model.
    • Design and Size: Choose a design and size that fits your wrist and style preferences.
    • Health Features: If you’re interested in health tracking, consider models with more advanced health features like ECG and blood oxygen monitoring.
    Remember, newer models generally offer more features and better performance but come at a higher cost. It’s a balance between what you need, what you want, and what you’re willing to spend.

    I’ve owned the 45mm Series 7 in stainless steel, gold finish, until recently for maybe a year and a half. I was perfectly happy with it and could’ve kept it for another while but I upgraded anyway because of the quite tempting price of the first generation Ultra on Amazon.
    First I wasn’t sure if that’s going to be the right decision since it’s lacking some new specs, but then my thought process was as follows:
    The Ultra is still going to be one generation ahead of my previous watch, it’s still going to feel like an upgrade going from 45mm to Ultra (especially battery, different design and the screen may not be quite as bright as Ultra 2 but brighter than Series 7 plus new exclusive watch faces) and thankfully the cheapest option on Amazon came with a band I could live with at a great price point (original price 999€, Amazon price with Alpine Loop size M was 704€).
    I couldn’t justify paying almost 200€ more for just a few features in a watch that looks exactly the same as the one I ended up getting.

    Apple Watches in my opinion are only worth buying IF YOU WORK OUT A LOT. I am a runner and using an Apple Watch instead of a phone is amazing. It is able to track where I run, how fast I’m going, and how many miles I run all without being connected to my phone or the internet. You can see other health related stats like calories, steps etc. of course it’s helpful getting notifications straight from your wrist but if you are not using it to work out I do not recommend. Trust me.

    In my opinion you also glanced over the wear and tear over the years where the cheaper S9 can be greatly scratched and chipped in a years time. The more expensive S9 not as much and the U2 protects the glass even more. Going on from the idea to atleast use the device for 5-7 years I think it’s worth the price? But please change my mind

    • @JoeNokers
      @JoeNokers Год назад +3

      It really depends, because if you get the base one, and it gets beat up and damaged, you can literally buy a new watch with the money you saved by not getting the stainless steel. Double the price is only really worth it if you get way more than double the life, otherewise you could get the cheaper one with a refresh half way.
