I used to live a few minutes from the Farmer's Market back in the 90's/early 00's. Pretty cool to see that it basically looks the same. Even the tables and chairs are similar style. Back then it was more market style so it's good to see they've added more options like pizza and tacos. Back in the day they had a really fun karoake every Saturday night. Thanks for taking us along!
Very cool! Now food vendors pop up every now and then, but happy some of the OG ones are still there, it's what makes the LA Farmers Market nostalgic.
Those chairs and tables have been there since at least the early 1970's!

I worked for the Farmer's Market in 1990s. People don't see it but there is a house and garden that was owned by the original family. The house served as the office for the company. Farmer's Market was originally land where oil was discovered - made a ton of money for the family. The BBQ place catered a lunch for us - absolutely delicious.

My first job back in 1982 was at the Farmers Market, next to Dupars

The place that used to be in our mall was Bob’s Old Fashioned Ice Cream Bars & Lemonade. So good! Costco Food Court used to sell a ice cream bar that reminded me of them. Vanilla ice cream w chocolate & chopped almonds. Don’t think many people knew about them

Smoked ham shanks (hocks) have gone up in price so much, they used to be super cheap years ago. I like them in split pea or lima bean soup in the Instant Pot.

This particular Farmer's Market seemed so 'Gourmet" type of place!!! Every food eatery was like you're in a expensive restaurant instead of an open market!!! Very nice places to eat and the food looked very "Ono". Great video and thanks for sharing!!! Aloha!!!

I got a melon salad from Bellagio a couple weeks ago and it had heirloom tomatoes in it and it wasn't a very good combination, but that heirloom pizza looked really good! Fresh pasta looked exceptional too!
That pizza was great, as well as the pasta dish. Looking forward to try other things from their menus. Too bad on that melon salad.
I used to regularly go there with my parents since I was a kid, but I haven't been there since the pandemic started. My favorite place to eat there is the gumbo place. I've never had a bad dish there and everything is full of flavor. The Brazilian BBQ place is just too crowded, and not worth the wait for me. The worst place I've had is the Texas BBQ place that always served overcooked dry meats.
Ill take banana pudding and the ice cream bar! I was really sad when costco discontinued the ice cream bars.

I grew up going here all the time. I miss it so much. Try Bob's Donuts...it was the best back when I used to go there! Also curious if Bryan's BBQ is still as good as I remember.

The last time I was there twenty years ago, I saw Matt Dillon eating breakfast with his friend. You have to go to Du-Par's and eat their pancakes!
We love Dupar's pancakes! The best we've have eaten for sure.
Whenever I'm getting a Costco rotisserie chicken, I stare at all the chickens for three to five minutes. Occasionally a worker will say "May I help you?" and I will respond "I'm just playing the 'find the biggest chicken' game". I do the same thing with the pumpkins in October. Remember the Costco Chocolate Almond dipped ice cream bar? Agh the wonder years.
It's really easy to tell which Costco chicken is the largest by simply looking at which chicken touches the container lid the most.
We remember those hand dipped chocolate bars!!
The chicken is about the same price as a chain restaurant called Swiss Chalet, but it looked 10x better and more juicy!

We were just there a couple weeks ago! I had a French dip which was delicious, just how I liked it, plain, meat and bread. I wished I had seen the banana pudding 😤 Of course I bought a box of toffee☺️ just a tip, pay with cash at Little John’s, there is a fee paying with card. Also, don’t forget to get a validation ticket for parking. Shout out to WGA, hopefully you’ll get a contract soon.
