No Offline mode = Redfall is on "death row" and it's now a question of WHEN they shutdown the servers and finish it off. Personally, I feel that an offline mode for online games should be MANDATORY when they decide to end support of those game's online modes, especially for games that don't do well financially. I don't care if a game has a 90 on Metacritic or a 20 on Metacritic, every game has at least a few people who enjoy playing it and there should always be an offline mode available once they decide to end support of the online mode. Anyway, I think S.Squad: K.T.J.L will meet the same fate sooner than later and even successful games like Gran Tursimo 7 (that game depends on online servers to work) and others will meet the same fate in the future since I don't see companies willing to make offline modes for when the online support ends, which I feel is an extremely wrong thing. Legally, someone should make it where companies are under legal obligation to create offline modes when online support ends. Having games "Thanos Snapped" out of existence, especially when people are paying $60 - $70 for these games, is wrong.

Goddamn that came and went fast.
I would absolutely LOVE to know who it was that forced this game to be made and made the way it was, because it was surely someone (or multiple someones) high up forcing this thing into existence and odds are those ones in positions of power likely still have their jobs while those forced to build a game even they didn't like are now unemployed.
Some people will celebrate seeing a studio that made a bad game fold, but odds are the wrong people will be losing their jobs here.

Mmhmm, probably the same Bethesda or Zenimax that release the other multiplayer spinoff of single player IPs a few years ago. Weird that it happen, so I guess this was a remnant that Microsoft decided do NOTHING to cancel before it was too late.

Another thing that messed up this game was no open lobby..you had to play with people you know..they should had let people jump in lobbies..the other thing they should have let them finish the DLC, then shut it down and leave the I.P. open for a sequel or be revisited for DLC later on.

I guess having a bad reputation might also explain why Prince of Persia might haven't sold well. The Burnout is indeed real for Ubisoft games being a factor. Its kind of a similar scenario how it affected Guardian's of The Galaxy game because The Avenger game tranish the potential for future Marvel games within Square Enix publishing label.

The writing was on the wall for the game closing down at least, about a week after launch, with those review scores, like 4/10 from the likes of even IGN? But also only a few hundred people playing it.....Wonder what happens to Rocksteady after Suicide Squad and how bad Warner Brothers are?

I don’t understand this idea of quadruple-A games. How much bigger budget do these games needs to be?? I feel like a good chunk of games are already too long and bloated. I’d much rather see them narrow down the scope of games and cut out the fat than have hundreds and hundreds of hours of lack luster content.

That's why I hate these live service always online titles. Stop supporting this sh*t!!! Make gaming great again. There's no way to save these games either through emulation

I bet you if the game was actually good and had success, then they would still have jobs 😮

This is an ignorant take. If you knew about the development of this game, you’d know that the devs themselves didn’t want to make the game and even wanted to stop making it.

Hi-Fi Rush was brilliant and succeeded all of their expectations (their words at the time) and their studio got shut down too.
This is parasites at the top calling themselves executives ruining lives and destroying studios so profit line go higher
