I drove 1 hour and twenty minutes to get to the venue plus the cost of tickets and $60 for parking. This was a gift to my wife for mother’s day. We were at the door when ushers started announcing that the concert was canceled…. I’m still pissed off

One of the members of Bloodstone " Natural High" was sitting in a wheelchair while they performed,and the lead singer of Cameo ( Larry Blackmon) sat in a chair. They probably need to retire, but can't afford to.

Reminds me of seeing Lauryn Perform in the late 1990's and i say perform in the loosest term she did like 4 songs unaccompanied by a band while playing a acoustic guitar not that well and just left mid set. This was just after her album dropped too, ill never forget the disappointment.

The LAST time I bought concert tickets was for Atlantic City comedy tour. It was a surprise birthday present. The official notification was the concert was “postponed indefinitely”. I was refused a refund because it wasn’t “cancelled”. I’ll keep my money in my pocket.

Anita Baker I lost respect for. In 1987 I went to the Kool Jazz Festival in Cincinnati Ohio, she was beefing with Luther Vandross. I was there at the show. Sad...

Yep, me and 2 of my friends flew in from NYC, rented a car and hotel room. It is now 5/29 and we still haven't gotten our money back. So disappointing.

I definitely used vacation days from my job!!!!! Just to add that!!!! My boyfriend was gonna drive me but we broke up right before the concert. I’m glad we didn’t drive 8 hours for nothing.
I won tickets off the radio, but I gave them away! All week I just wasn’t feeling this concert! But I do feel bad because the person I gave them to, it was her birthday! They paid a babysitter, dinner, parking and most of all their time! I saw Anita in Los Angeles back in the 80’s. She opened for Luther and she got down! I’m good!

Ok yall I’m not in no way dismissing her actions and I have compassion to those who wanted to see. However there’s a greater conversation that needs to be had. For example why are “our” legends and icons even having to still tour and do shows to survive?! Hell it’s no different than Ms. Betty at your local Walmart that you know shoulda been retired but can’t. You don’t see other legends having to tour at their golden age risking their health like Madonna, Cher, Dolly Parton etc. I’m just saying.
Cher and Madonna do perform and Dolly does make appearances, it’s called wanting to still be active and/or do what you love. It’s not always that they need too.

We flew in from Cleveland, Ohio and paid for hotel, rental car and parking! If we got a 24 hour notice, I would've been able to get my hotel and car refund. Safe to say I will not be doing that again, never flying out for a concert!

I saw Anita one time when she, Brownstone and Frankie Beverly and Maze were on the ticket many moons ago. It was a dynamic show and Frankie Beverly's plane was delayed and caused the concert to run over into the wee hours, but Anita took over the show and kept us going. I just can't believe she is doing this to audience members now. It's really sad. I'm with Claudia, if you don't want to do this anymore, then please exit stage left! 🙄🙄

She’s been like this since the 80’s! Back then she put zero energy into her live performances! She fussed at her band leader because she didn’t want to hit high notes and she wrapped up her concerts quickly! She was a crabby old woman onstage. I never bought tickets to another Anita Baker concert after that one show! She should retire!

As much as I hate to say it considering I produce concerts for a living.....if Madonna was sued for running late to get on stage by 2 hours then Anita should be sued IF it was deliberate...now if was a health issue, well then issue a public statement....don't make the fans and public feel disrespected and belittled......I hope she makes this right because the fans deserve to be treated better
