A squatter is someone who enters an abandoned residence or is invited in legally and then refuses to leave. None of these terms apply to immigrants. The US is not abandoned and there was no invitation for anybody ever to come here, including Kirk's ancestors wherever they may have come from.
Home invasion is based on intent and since kirk does not care about motive and even admits that they can be good people, he cannot say anybody invaded his country like someone invading a home.
According to Merriam Webster Dictionary, an invasion is "incursion of an army for conquest or plunder or the incoming or spread of something usually hurtful." The American Heritage Dictionary defines invasion as "The act of invading, especially the entrance of an armed force into a territory to conquer." Both refer to an army and both definitions include intent which is conquest as a defining characteristic. Since Kirk hasn't proven intent to conquer the territory and in fact, does not care about intent, he clearly shows once again that he does not know what he is talking about just like he doesn't know that the US was very much involved in El Salvador during the 80's.
