It was watching Steffi that l became interested in Tennis. She does not scream or argue endlessly with referees or lines people. To me she is the GOAT of ladies Tennis period 😊
She was always fantastic to watch....tennis poetry in motion....while leading in sportsmanship and humility. All while having the greatest legs in tennis. What a woman.
Her footwork will never be matched. Really something so incredibly beautiful but so athletic at the same time. What Nureyev was to ballet or Barishnikov with incredible athleticism combined with beautiful movement is what Stefanie Graf was to footwork, I think Mohammad Ali doesn't even have footwork like Steffi does.
@corgeousgeorge I can't think of anyone that comes close to be honest. Maybe Clijsters, Henin and Wozniacki but they don't have the elegance, grace and intensity of Steffi. No one does.
@@corgeousgeorgeSteffi definitely has the best footwork overall which is a reason why counterpunchers, pushers and moon balling especially struggled against her, couldn’t really get her out of position or place while even Navratilova, Djokovic, Serena etc had their fair share of struggles with those brand of players Steffi never did
I was named after her, and she truly is an inspiration. The reason I loved the sport was her alone. You will never see anyone move like her on the court now. She just exudes with impeccable grace and power on court. It's addictive to watch her. She plays sooooo beautifully.
Steffi is the standards by which other female tennis player should be judged. She was the first aggressive baseliner in WTA. Her massive FH with both feet off the ground revolutionize women's tennis. Now to be successful every player must have good FH. In terms of foot speed & athleticism she was/is unparalleled. I never seen anybody who is as fast as Steffi. She is simply the GOAT.
13 year old 7th grade dropout, stole millions from the German people by cheating on her taxes, family lacking moral fiber of any kind. Not the best at the AO, FO, W, or USO; nor the best of grass, clay, hardcourts, or carpet; nor the best at slams or tournaments overall. Not the best at any tournament anywhere, except the German open. Crazy fans willing to do anything to make her the GOAT (didn't work). The one thing we do agree upon is that her footwork was sensational. Best movement we've ever seen on a tennis court before, during, or since...female or male for that matter. Not just the raw speed, but the quick steps. I've said many times...if you want to learn how to move on a tennis court, watch a Graf point, then rewatch the point and just focus on her feet. You will be amazed by those quick steps. Repeat until you figure out how to move.

Thank you for your awesome video tribute to the great Steffi Graf!!! IMHO, Steffi is the the greatest ever as the most humble yet fierce of champions!!! 🏆🥇🤩 🌟 Best ever forehand (powerful/accurate/consistent) 🌟 Best ever backhand slice (vicious/penetrating) 🌟 Best ever movement (footwork/speed/agility) 🌟 Best ever all-court player (athletic and graceful) 🌟 22 grand slams by age 30 (winning 4 or more on all slams/surfaces) 🌟 Golden Grand Slam (winning all 4 slams plus Olympic gold in a calendar year)

Quirky but super effective forehand, solid serve, great slice backhand, amazing movement that was supporting her strokes so well, and a huge desire to win combined with a lot of mental strength. All in all, pretty good ;)
107 titles, 377 weeks at No. 1, Olympic singles gold medal (technically two-time, with 1984 Gold), all before she retired at 30 years old. But very important to note as well: she naturally possessed and displayed the tennis formula of technique/power/tactic/game plan/form/poise/style/natural amount of shot selection/court awareness/control/fitness/tennis conduct/ignoring adversity/professionalism/grace/dedication/focus/love for the sport and respect for the CULTURE of tennis/etc. Danke, Steffi.
This video illustrates all the reasons that Steffi is GOAT. She has so many records that are considered “best in tennis” for me, Serena would have needed to break Margaret Court’s GS record to surpass Steffi.
Best female tennisplayer of all time and it is not even close... Especially because she was great at all kind of pitches. Normally a player has a favorite field to play on like sand, but Steffi was good at everything! That makes her the best ever...
Graf's 377 weeks of no. 1 record is spectacular. So, up until now her record hasn't been broken by any WTA player since 1997. But, novak djokovic broke her record since last year before the 26th anniversary on march, 24 as her last week of no. 1 even though WTA should never be interfered with ATP. That means 377 is no longer enough to make it everlasting
@@wimzswimz9843 men and women have always had separate records in every single sport I can think of. There's never been such a thing as one category. It's like comparing apples and oranges.
A phenomenal athlete.....probably could have competed at Olympic level in sprints and middle distance. The stabbing of Seles robbed tennis of what could have been a fabulous rivalry.....Steffi would certainly have upped her level had Seles not had that unfortunate attack and we could have seen something similar to the Evert-Navratilova saga
she retired at the age of 30 when you know, barring any injuries, she would have ben able to play into her forties and likely pick up another hand-full of grand slams... no one was ever so dominant...
That's correct, but no comparison. Steffi achieved all that she did before she turned 30 years old. Plus, she played with and held off 3 or 4 generations of players. And the form, stance, technique, professionalism and style on court is at the elite level, the amount of game and shots she possessed naturally. Graf/Navratilova/Evert/King are in another league, just untouchable, but with Steffi Graf being the greatest overall. Even for the 2000s and recent era, it was really Henin/Clijsters the greatest because it's not just about the amount of winning but the form, professionalism, style and techniques.
With regards to backhand. Her biggest rival Seles told the press that Steffi's slice backhand is the most underrated shot in Women's tennis. Looks easy but hard to play with.
She was great in the most competitive and consistent era in wta. Those were the days when qualifiers could have never won a slam nor a non slam winner ever became world number one. And the quarter finals and semi finals and finals were most played by seeded players, not random upsetters.
So many inaccuracies about this video. Steffi didn't win the French Open junior title in 1984. That was won by Gabriela Sabatini. And she didn't win Wimbledon juniors the following year either, that was won by Andrea Holikova. Steffi didn't win any junior titles at the Grand Slams. Most of the pictures didn't show images from the tournaments they're talking about either. She didn't dominate "the following 2 years" after winning the Golden Grand Slam in 1988. She did in 1989, but 1990 she wasn't dominant, as Monica Seles beat her twice, Gabriela Sabatini beat her twice, and she won her only major at the start of the year. Still a good year, but her and Monica ended up very close in comparison by the year's end.
Not only was she the embodiment of excellence in women's tennis, but she exuded that excellence against some of the best female players ever to take the court - Chris Evert, Arantxa Sanchez-Vicario, Monica Seles, Martina Navratilova - she went through future Hall of Famers in their primes and beat them all. Nobody else has come close to a run like Steffi's.
Chris and Martina weren’t in their primes exactly well especially Chris though I reckon she’d have still beaten them because she’s miles better an athlete and player
Steffi is the best old and time...forhand and bahkan is good is not frablem..what do say backhen Steffi..is not frablem..she is player tennis one hand moviement.. fantastis...and body is good....and beautiful to player tennis..I like Steffi Graf... because.. stuff player tennis dancer...is Steffi amazing...Yo look Monica seles.. player tennis shout . power and power... Not easy to compare athletes of different eras. For me she was the greatest. After the golden slam she won th AO 1989. That means 5 grand slams in a row plus Olympic gold medal. No meltdowns. Fair on and off the court. beautiful and elegant on top of it. I didn t want to be a competitor. And did all that before being 30. Sad just that monica seles had been taken out by a knife attack. She never really came back.
Well I appreciate the video thank you. The audio did not match the video you showed constantly an error instead of a winning shot. Again I appreciate the effort but you should have known there so much footage of this woman that you could have chosen a little more wisely. Also the French Open is not Wimbledon LOL every time you talk about the French Open you showed Wimbledon
Steffi was nicknamed "froline" forehand. Her game inspired others who could only hope to equal her amazing record, bein worlds number 1 for 7 consecutive years..Forcing EVERT & NAVRATILOVA into retirement..Being the greatest female tennis player of all time!
I hate when people say that Graf just got lucky or that she had no real competition at the time. Absolute nonsense. I think the only person who evert consitently beat Graf was Seles. He reign was stopped by the stabbing. I still think that if Monica had remained in top for she wouldn't have totally dominated Steffi. Steffi was a cross between the skill of the old school and the power of the new school. My favourite player of all time.

Sampras and graf are probably the most consistent player in the sport. Sampras 6 consecutive years as number one. Her footwork just perfect, Borgs and Federer footwork are at the same level. Definitely a goat of the sport
Before 30, Sampras was the best with 286 weeks of no. 1 while federer with 285 weeks. Djokovic was just 5th with 223 weeks. After 30, sampras vanished from tennis career, Federer only 25 weeks while djokovic has added 202 weeks of no. 1 so he has recorded 425 weeks of no. 1 surpassing steffi graf's 377 weeks of no. 1
@@wimzswimz9843 but non of them are as consistent as Sampras and Graf. Not to mention Sampras only played for 14yrs and made 18 Grand slam finals and won 14. Only make player to stay as number 1 for six consecutive years. Also can’t compare Sampras generation of tennis with Federer or Novak. The courts played differently played a lot faster than anything today. Even during Federer prime courts played alittle slower and were by far faster then any courts today. I saw Sampras in 1997 play at the us open rocket fast then saw Federer in 2017 courts are definitely slower today. Crazy how it changed so much
Nope, Sampras was not consistence. Players like Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, Borg or even Lendl, Connors & McEnroe were for consistent & dominant than Sampras. They have more ATP titles & with better winning % over 80. Infact Sampras winning percentage was only 77 despite playing less matches than them. Sampras never won 90% matches in a single season. Lendl had done than 5 times & all the other legend mentioned above have done that on multiple occasions. In fact from 1993-98 Sampras had 84 losses when he finished as year end no 1. That's too much. He only peaked during slams (Wimbledon & US open) & year end finals.
@@rajusaha855 really ? If you think what you said is true you’re a fool. Those guys achieved those because they played longer. All have played over 20yrs. Sampras only on tour for 14yrs. Neither Federer, Nadal and Novak been number one for 6 consecutive years and have a definitive winning record over his rivals. The man made 18 gs finals win 14 of them. Not to mention Sampras dominated the entire 90s. Having more top players to play then Federer, Nadal and Sampras. Also Sampras holds two gold metals one being gold in singles. Also the 90s people didn’t play the clay season like they did today. They had a thing called seasons and for certain players it was a good time to just work on things. Again keep looking up your facts and thinking like you know something
@@h-dawg1876 lol🤣🤣 when did Sampras won gold medals in Olympic?? What are you smoking ?? If Sampras was so good then why he only won 14 slams, big 3 have won over 20 slams despite playing against each other. Sampras never had that kind of rivals. When Sampras becomes no 1 in 1993 the likes of Edberg, Becker past their prime. Courier fell from the top quickly & Agassi lacks consistency , after 1995 he really struggle. Infact Agassi in 1997 fell to world no 141 then he was playing in challenger circuit 😂😂. If Sampras was so good then why he never wins French open or even reached final there. There was no Nadal like player to dominate on clay in 90's.🤔🤔 If Sampras was so dominate how come he only reached 18 slams finals compared to big 3 who reached over 30 slams finals. Please do not brings a bogus argument that Sampras retired at 31. FYI he literally struggled in 2001 & 2002 before he retired. So in a way Sampras was overrated because of his 14 slams. He never had an unbeaten season. His day in day out consistency was much below big 3, Borg, Lendl, Connors. Sampras finished 6 year end no 1 partially because of weak field especially after 1995 when Agassi declined. In 1996 & 1998 Sampras hardly dominate but still ranked as no 1 because there was hardly any consistence player at that time. There is no way he could achieve that feat in big 3 era or in 70's /80's. So to compare Steffi's dominance with Sampras is absolutely laughable.
I'd like to know what her final carrer numbers would really be had not Seles been stabbed. How many GSs Federer, Nadal or Djokovic would have won if something like that had happened to one of them?
Seles was good but not even top 5 of alltime..comparing her to Steffi is laughable..especially considering how Steffi destroyed her in the Wimbledon final they played while Seles was at her peak
Seles and Graf would have raised there games even more by playing each other. It s sad that it was taken. You can t blame it to Steffi. At least they had the US final 95. 96 doesn t count. This rivalery would have been more interesting than the record.
@@carrerau7138 Seles was peaking in early 93. You only need to look at the replay of AO 93. Graf’s slump was a direct result of Sele’s ascendancy. She would swept the next 5-6 Slams. Wimbledon, I would give the edge to Graf. But Gunther Parsch was on Graf’s side, such is fate
@@satyajitbanerjee3073 You are obviously an ignoramus or an impudent liar. Steffi had made 13 slam finals in a row from 1987 to mid-1990. But then made only 4 of the next 10. In the whole 1987-96 decade Steffi missed only 7 slam finals. But 5 of them between July 1990 and September 1992. Seles quite obviously had nothing to do with. In early 1993 Seles already show an almost imperceptible decline: 1) Until before the stabbing she was 30-6 in sets won/loss in 1993 with losing 2.4 games per set on average. In the same period in 1992 it had been 30-6 in sets won/lost with losing only 2.1 games per set on average. 2) In the 12 months before the stabbing her match winning percentage was 92.06 %. But in the prior 12-month period it had been 93.83 %. 3) At the beginning of 1992 Monica's lead over Steffi had been 58 points. In April 1993 Steffi had narrowed it to just 21 points. 4) The AO 93 was played on Steffi's worst and Seles's best surface, slow hard court. Seles needed 3 sets. When the had played on Steffi's best and Seles's worst surface in Wimbledon 92 Seles had been destroyed. The writing was on the wall - Steffi would overtake Seles in summer 1993. Never forget that Steffi was 80-2 win/loss in the first 12 months after the Seles stabbing. Even at her peak Seles was never able to achieve such a stunning record. The stabbing saved Seles's legacy and enables her nutty fans until this day to spread their wet dreams about Seles's alleged future dominance. "Would swept the next 5-6 Slams"?? 😂 Including Wimbledon and the USO, surfaces on which Seles NEVER beat Steffi??? You sad maroon.
But remember, Monica Salas, who was number one in the world who who had beaten graft like the last three times at grand slams, was stabbed so her main rival was stabbed so Steppy would not have gotten near as many grand slams if Monica was still playing who knows Monica could’ve been the
Seles had not beaten Steffi the last 3 times in slams. Seles was only on top when Steffi played far below her usual level. 1991 & 1992 were Seles's two best years ever, right? Well, in those two years Steffi had only her 11th-best- and 9th-best win/loss stats. So no wonder that Seles was #1 then.
Seles and her annoying grunting..ughhhh..well she will always be remembered for that..Steffi played with far more grace and was 10x mentally stronger than Seles..but its a stupid debate cause their Wimbledon final they played against each other speaks volumes because that was Seles's chance to really prove she belonged on that stage..and Steffi destroyed her with ease lol

Forget the #1 ranking...Only Golden Slam Winner!! & she skipped about 50 Australian Opens, she would have the Grand Slam Record easily if she had not done that!!
Even when Seles was #1 in the early 90s and Steffi had two of her worst years ever in 1991/92 Steffi usually beat Seles. Steffi has 22 slams, 7 Wimbledons, one Golden Slam, no losing record against any slam winner. Seles has 9 slams, zero Wimbledons, no Grand Slam, losing records to many slam winners. I'd say you are a sad nationalistic tennis nutter....
Steffi is 10-5 win/loss against Seles. Even 5-2 against #1-ranked Monica. When Seles had her two best years (1991 & 1992) Steffi played only her 11th-best and 9th-best years (match winning percentages). Would you place Henin over Serena, too?
Monica did suffer from that attack but the idea that it changed tennis history is nothing but a myth, Monica was healthy and ready to play in a couple of months
She was good made better after her countryman stabbed Monica. All those tournaments she won without Monica being able to beat her really helped her legacy.
Steffi won 6 slams in Seles's absence. Two of them Wimbledons (1993 & 1995). I don't think we will have to discuss that. One USO (1993), a fast hard court surface on which Seles never was able to beat Steffi. One AO in 1994 when Steffi played two levels better than in the year before when Seles needed 3 sets to beat Steffi. Two FOs (1993 & 1995) on clay where Steffi was at least as good as Seles but lost two very close finals against Seles when she (Steffi) was in a slump. Maybe Seles would have taken away 2 slams away from Steffi (and won a few of the other 4 slams which Steffi didn't win in 1993-95)? But it is almost certain that Steffi would have won Wimbledon 94 with Seles being in the draw. Steffi definitely would have more than 20 slams anyway. And since we are talking "would" - how many more slams would Steffi have won without the Graf Blackmail Scandal in 1990-92 and without her reconstructive knee surgery in 1997 (which in the end accelerated her premature retirement at age 30)? I think at least 10 more. There is a reason why Steffi is widely regarded as the greatest ever - even by many US Americans!
yup .... shameful how a crazy fan mangled tennis history ... its unfair to both Graf and Seles as we would never know for sure how much better Seles would become or if Graf would have won 22 if history had gone uninterrupted in that horrific manner .
Monica getting stabbed is probably one of the saddest days in Tennis..but history is not made up with "What If's"...there are equal chances of her going the Hingis way or the Graf way.. Also what were the chances of Graf raising her game to another level competing with a fully fit seles...so yeah when you say "What If" it goes both ways.. Steffi was and is will always remain the Goat..
Steffi post-stabbing was far better than before: 1) In 1993-96 she made 12 of 14 finals in slams. From mid-1990 to 1992 it had been only 4 of 9. 2) In 1993-96 she made 3 of 4 YECs finals. From mid-1990 to 1992 it was zero of 3. So in 1993-96 Steffi missed only 3 of 18 major finals. But from mid-1990 to 1992 it had been 8 of 12 missed. That was a massive loss of form exactly in the period when Seles dominated. No coincidence. Taken all together Steffi was the clearly better player.
Novak Djoković 428 weeks, 24 GS. Nobody stabbed Federer or Nadal he had to beat them to get this numbers. By the way Serena won more GS. Classic fan video.

I don't think so as regardless her horrible stabbing incident, Seles had big problems with general fitness (contrary to Graf who was super fit) and -as a result - with efficient movement around the court. As Seles got older this problem only got bigger and bigger. So with or without stabbing accident Seles was declining

All this is not really true and not really false, except in YOUR mind. Steffi Graf used to drop sets.
@@danielkorczyk8181Marion bartoli had belief in herself that Steffi Graff as a great tennis player doesn't have even being world no.1 to win Wimbledon. Wimbledon is a grass court tournament and therefore amongst the medium surfaces. which means medium rallies dictated by serve and therefore less exertion of energy during a point and shorter matches in general. you get value for your shot! fat and short or tall and thin! when you play 3 sets against 5 sets for men, it is always an advantage. Marion Bartoli played a more strategic than a grind type of tennis in tournaments. good volleying skills as compared to Steffi Graff even in execution. Marion Bartoli had the belief that she could win and in contrast to Steffi Graff who believed that Bartoli would wear herself down and just lose(not that they don't have to play, just that they had to hang in there long enough for her to break down). Most of them slightly underestimated what she was doing in tournaments. She was an inexperienced player by that point who had proven herself as a former top 10 player. Her winning was really a surprise i.e out of the blue with already having made the finals twice but her consistency was questionable. She had unique two handed forehands and backhands. That was easy to replicate and master but once mastered it was going to be lethal. That was what spectators saw in tournaments of Marion Bartoli to a great extent. at Wimbledon 2013 she had some luck from the draw as 15th seed. she never played a top 10 player en route to her victory. the finalist she played: Venus Williams had already beaten Agnieszka Radwańska en route to the final. Venus Williams was playing her best but was probably worn out a lot by her battles with Agnieszka Radwańska and others. Venus Williams was in the form of her life but Bartoli had the luck of the draw. Regardless of whether your fat or not, if you make your shots even Steffi Graff may not be able to return it at Wimbledon. so if you are playing near perfection and having consistency with your shots then you are playing on a level field. then speaking of fat, technically Marion Bartoli may be classified as fat, yet she was the most successful female tennis player. Bartoli wasn’t really playing a specific style and really had weakness in tournaments and most of her shots had some vigor in it that Steffi Graf generally doesn't necessarily have. Here return games were spot on and had more errors and more importantly she can get Steffi Graff to errors first. all in all, this was a victory that was easily replicable or Bartoli after this mediocre run. She had belief and luck along with inexperience that allowed her to win her only Grand Slam. Marion Bartoli was dubbed as unfit and fat. She still made it to Grand Slam finals. Even in her Wembdon win 2013 she wasn’t fit. Marion Bartoli is an inspiration. It was really a fluke because Bartoli won by dropping sets and beat a few top 20 players along the way. Winning by dropping a set means you played really close to perfection along with dropping the level enough that allowed anyone to comeback and take a set from you. being fat may seem a hindrance, but is a limitation if you want it to be one. Honestly calling her fat in tournaments is really justifiable because she wasn’t thin but fat is really appropriate. And yes, tall and lanky players like Steffi Graf don’t always win , especially in the topsy turvy women’s tour. slightly fatter players can generate more power than extremely thin and tall players like Steffi Graff.

Pure Class in every sense of the word.
She was always fantastic to watch....tennis poetry in motion....while leading in sportsmanship and humility. All while having the greatest legs in tennis. What a woman.
Her footwork will never be matched. Really something so incredibly beautiful but so athletic at the same time. What Nureyev was to ballet or Barishnikov with incredible athleticism combined with beautiful movement is what Stefanie Graf was to footwork, I think Mohammad Ali doesn't even have footwork like Steffi does.
in tennis only Federer comes close to her footwork
@iamshadowbanned699 close, but Stefanie still takes it imo. Who do u think comes close on the women's side?
@corgeousgeorge I can't think of anyone that comes close to be honest. Maybe Clijsters, Henin and Wozniacki but they don't have the elegance, grace and intensity of Steffi. No one does.

Steffi's dominance is far beyond Serena's

In the whole 1987-96 decade Steffi missed only 7 slam finals. But 5 of them between July 1990 and September 1992. Seles quite obviously had nothing to do with.
In early 1993 Seles already show an almost imperceptible decline:
1) Until before the stabbing she was 30-6 in sets won/loss in 1993 with losing 2.4 games per set on average.

For someone with a few idiosyncrasies in her game (exceptionally high toss on the serve, late preparation on the forehand) I'd say she turned out OK.
She was good made better after her countryman stabbed Monica. All those tournaments she won without Monica being able to beat her really helped her legacy.
Thank god for Gunther. A bronze statue should be erected for his heroism.
I'm fan of Steffi. BUT. Without knife attack of psycho on Monica Seles her number of weeks no1 and majors would be smaller
yup .... shameful how a crazy fan mangled tennis history ... its unfair to both Graf and Seles as we would never know for sure how much better Seles would become or if Graf would have won 22 if history had gone uninterrupted in that horrific manner .
The only thing that’s crazy is the desperation of Seles clowns coming to a Steffi video to cry hahahahahahahahahahaha. Losers like Seles.
BUT.
Without Graf family blackmailing by German mafia Seles would never have reached #1 and won 9 slams.
ya ok..then why did Steffi destroy her so easily in the Wiombledon while Seles was at her peak before the stabbing?? 6-2, 6-1.. anybody, anybody?? lol
This is full of errors.
Steffi post-stabbing was far better than before:
1) In 1993-96 she made 12 of 14 finals in slams.
@@carrerau7138 absolutely
Novak Djoković 428 weeks, 24 GS. Nobody stabbed Federer or Nadal he had to beat them to get this numbers. By the way Serena won more GS. Classic fan video.
..and here enter the Seles cult followers with all their lame excuses now.. 🙄 ..Steffi is and always will be the GOAT..Martina 2nd and Williams 3rd..Seles after the top 6-7 ?? then could be a debate where she places in history
Her numbers are inflated due to seles forced removal plus it's not consecutive weeks at that number
Serena‘s numbers are far more inflated, boy.
Forced removal? She decided to remove herself for more than 2 years and got fat.
@@anthonydecastro6938 After being - stabbed on court in the middle of the match.
@@LuLu-nw6bi yeah, yeah, yeah, as Seles fans keep on repeating again and again, ad infinitum, ad nauseam. it was nothing like what Kvitova experienced, who had more dangerous multiple stab wounds but who was determined to be back on the court after some six months, unlike your prima donna who took her time to wallow in self-pity for more than two years. so, yes, play the victim card to the hilt. it does not change history, nor does it affect the fact that Seles was responsible for her own fate after the stabbing.
@@anthonydecastro6938 It's the Graf's fans who are repeating again and again, ad infinitum, ad nauseam her records pretending that her main rival was not absent and then a lesser player for the last 6 years of Steffi's career, caused by being stabbed ON THE TENNIS COURT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MATCH. What kind of miserable and desperate human being you must be to call a person attacked brutally from behind at her work place, with the reason of being the best, "prima donna" for being traumatized and not wanting to go back. Accept the facts and get a life, that's my advice to you.
Sorry to everyone, but she wasn't the best. If we really want name the best player, how about martina navratilova.
She has everything what you can hope. And btw, her volley skills were light years ahead graf. And it shows. That's all.
Steffi won 22 slams and the Golden Slam. Navratilova won 18 slams.
BTW, Steffi had a great volley, in no way worse than Navratilova.
Monica Seles? Just saying!! Navratilova had Evert as a serious opponent for so many years, played doubles and mixed too. Steffi is amazing but not the GOAT!! Monica's stabbing changed the course of history.
It didn't.
Seles with a dying father and a resurgent Steffi would have had no chance.
Steffi simply was the better player.
Fabulous player but got many more weeks at number one and many more slams than she would have had world number one Monica Seles not been stabbed at 19 years old having already won 8 slams herself.
I don't think so as regardless her horrible stabbing incident, Seles had big problems with general fitness (contrary to Graf who was super fit) and -as a result - with efficient movement around the court. As Seles got older this problem only got bigger and bigger. So with or without stabbing accident Seles was declining
@@danielkorczyk8181 Seles had no issues with her fitness pre stabbing.
@@MirjanaLfan Yes, she had. She herself said this in the interview in 1991 so well before stabbing incident. She said that she had eating disorder problems because of her missing her parents during her stay in Bolitieri Tenis Academy so already when she was 15-16 years old.

I beg to disagree if Monica Seles was not stabbed she would be I think the BEST PLAYER and thanks to GRAF’s lunatic fan.Monica was robbed 2 1/2 years of her career.MONICA would be the GREATEST!
No, she wouldn't be as she had huge fitness problems (regardless stabbing)
If..would..should…could 😂😂😂😂😂😂
daylight robbery ... I was shocked when I read the news ... its so unfair that we cannot see how much better seles would become as she just just about to reach her prime years ...
I bet Seles would have won Wimbledon during that year as she had already reached the final the previous year, she would have won Wimby if she had not been pressured to suppress her natural urge to grunt , the need to consciously suppress her natural instinct affected her game that she should have had a good chance of winning....
That´s a myth, Seles was healthy and ready to play in a few weeks after the incident, I even think Graf was robbed from a cleaner legacy with the stab feeding these remarks.
@@franstar1730Seles was traumatized with the STABBING!
Defo a tennis great but I think Seles would have dominated if she hadn’t been stabbed by a deranged Graf fan in 93
I think you are wrong. Regardless her horrible stabbing accident, Seles had problems with movement around the court and general fitness. As she was getting older these problems were only getting bigger. That's why she was so poor and helpless on (Wimbledon) grass.

Seles always struggled against Steffi, even when Steffi was in a deep slump.
Never forget that Steffi even won most of their matches when Seles was #1 pre-stabbing.
for Bartoli being short in height and fat in weight, she is definitely a better player than Steffi Graf, if you want to think so, remember YOU are brainwashing me by saying Steffi Graf is great . By your own admission, Steffi Graff, needed to be tall and lanky to win grand slams, yet Marion Bartoli who is short and fat and won Wimbledon grand slam which Kim Clijsters never won, how proud is that? Bartoli is a better player just like how she is and was and Steffi Graff is a close eight to Bartoli as per Wimbledon 2013, Bartoli won without dropping a set is a million times better than Kim Clijsters who didn’t even make it to the Final. And Marion Bartoli is already a million times better than Kim Clijsters by winning 1 Wimbledon Grand Slam. So that makes Bartoli a gazillion times better right. All this is not really true and not really false, except in YOUR mind. Steffi Graf used to drop sets.
Oh ! Again you 🤣. And again, you have forgotten to take your medicines, poor little thing ...
Give up already
🤣🤣

Marion Bartoli is a better Tennis player than Steffi Graf.
