This is such a beautiful and poignant song with lyrics by Burt Bacharach. It was recorded in 2003 for Dame Shirley's 50th Anniversary Album "Thank you for the years". In the album booklet she mentioned it was a first for her to record a song with just a piano and I think she performed this song masterfully. This recording showcases Dame Shirley's ability to sing with her head voice and to adjust her style of singing to the treatment the song needs. She is such a versatile singer. Please enjoy!
