    I absolutely HATE scepter, so this is what I have been doing xD
    with that insane regen trait in herald plus serene rejuvenation in salvation, PLUS invoking harmony, I use relic of dwayna for an EXTRA 20% regen effectiveness+ sigil of transference+monk runes (100% increased regen healing) monk/tempest runes with celestial equipment(mace/axe-staff). Regen is obviously perma up on your sub group doing 6-700 healing per tick. corruption traits are full condi damage build(1-3-1) Salvation traits full healing (1-2-1) and Herald (1-1-1). I basically just do damage and play as a sustain/reactive healer because of the lack of barrier. Glint/Centaur, Mace/Axe(Sigils-Torment/Transference) Staff(Sigils- Transference-Water) 15k dps avg and basically a druid heals wise with centaur/staff(if they're stacked). Camp Glint until big damage goes out, then swap staff/centaur. Crazy fun too. I made this build purely bc of how much I hated scepter gameplay xD And I use Tempest runes prob 70% of the time bc more healing isn't even really needed. This should be the level 1 herald part 2 xD

    Awesome video, super helpful. Thank you for sharing! I've recently been getting into playing Rev, and this was just what I needed to cross reference with the Snowcrows build and give me a nice visual aid and clear some stuff up.
    One question just so im clear for it, when using Harriers armor and Clerics trinkets, I assume if we intend on tanking, we would swap out Harriers for Givers?

    • @ieatyoulol
      @ieatyoulol  3 месяца назад +2

      hell yea glad it was helpful! With toughness tanking (which is only a thing in some raids btw) all that matters is that you have higher toughness than anyone else in the squad. Ideally no one else should have any extra toughness so any ammount of toughness stats SHOULD make you the highest. The default harriers+clerics stats I use for heal herald does have a low-medium ammount of toughness (+426 or 1426 total since you have 1k by default) and that should be enough to maintain aggro of the boss, the only reason you might want to go even further with toughness is just if you personally want an easier time tanking damage at the expense of other stats.
      Personally Id say maybe around +800 or +900 tough would be as far as I would go if youre really struggling to stay alive. youre not much use as a healer if you're dead. (which you can do by swapping the harriers stats to givers or minstrels) but again its at the expense of other stats so ideally somewhere in the middle or lower range would be optimal.

    Hi :)
    Really good video wiht a lot of good points! I even learned one thing i misread! (i though scepter 2 needs an ally target for the barrier effect)
    However I am suprised about one thing: Why do you keep up facet of Strengh instead of Facet of Darnkness? You already generate 25 might with just generating quickness (if you for example test this with shiro or jalis) and you generate about 20-24 might with you scepter Autoattack without quickness ( I recently discoreverd that you can test these things with the NPCs in silverwast at the target dummys). So with quickness and scepter auto you already generate more than enough Might. I can understand to use it in your very first rotation together with scepter 3 but after that I think it would be a lot better to generate Fury as it is also a very important offensive boon and depending on the class can give up to 50% critical chance increase ( Revenant for example). Also I think it is better to keep the stun break ready for emergencies.
    Also some minor points that you missed: If you are using the upper middle invocation trait (Spirit Boon) as shown in your video, you will already give 6s of stability when swapping to jalis, so jalis has 3 sources of stability. And you didn't mention the second staff skill which is a healing skill and that the 4th staff skill is also a bigger heal in addition to being a condition cleanse.

    • @ieatyoulol
      @ieatyoulol  8 месяцев назад +1

      thanks for the kind words! Both might and fury are obviously very important but you generally dont have enough energy for all facets so u gotta chose. I prioritise strength just as a base rotation, I depending on the squad composition I find either might or fury will be lower. It seems kinda a roughly even split but maybe leaning towards might most of the time, plus like you mention I would probably consider might more important for the initial burst so thats why I go for it for the default rotation. Ideally though you should be ditching the base rotation as soon as you notice something else is required. If I notice might is all good and fury needs some help I adapt. If I happen to find myself with an exess of energy I can pulse more facets at once for a bit. I really tried to keep the video as short as possible so I had to cut out a lot, it could have probably been a 50min video if I wanted lol.
      I havent gone out of my way to test exactly how much might is generated from the scepter autoattacks, thats pretty crazy if it maintains 25 solely from autoattacking, but in my experience going by the boon table, in reality we dont always cap out might. Perhaps due to casting other skills and invulnerability phases etc. interrupting the autoattacks as well as players not stacking and stuff like that

    • @ieatyoulol
      @ieatyoulol  15 дней назад

      that fractal has some mechanics that do make it more of a challenge if theyre ignored. mostly the orbs. its been a while since Ive done it but from memory healers should pick up the blue orbs since they reduce your damage, and DPS pick up the other colours. if the group doesnt pick up enough orbs the boss gets buffed. Id reccomend watching a quick guide on the fractal, it should help a lot!

  • @azn2194

    Much appreciate this guide coming back to the game after so long i've fallen in love with revenant, specifically vindicator for just pure DPS as I felt that was missing playing as a guardian main since launch. I've gotten used to the fairly high APM for vindicator and been wanting to main a healer and was debating going back to firebrand but figured I just stick with one class. Was wondering playing as the level 3 healer, do we just mainly focus on the auto attack as a scepter? It feels a bit weird having so much energy with the extra trait line that I end up having more than I could think of using which ends up staying in one legend for too long. I'm guessing we only swap to the staff if we want to CC or some immediate heal + condi cleanse from #2 and #4? It's a bit weird as it feels too relaxed and i'm not sure if I'm doing well in my role as the healer. Not sure if I should be swapping weapons when I change legends similar to Vindicator or just camp scepter auto attack and #2 off CD?
    EDIT: Also would it make more sense to replace dragon with dwarf if you have a qdps herald in your subgroup? as they can cover pretty much the dragon legend of the boons?

    • @ieatyoulol
      @ieatyoulol  3 месяца назад +2

      hey welcome back and welcome to the best class in the game revenant! :D glad to hear youre enjoying. Yea with scepter your auto attacks give a lot of might so you should be auto attacking as much as possible when youre not doing anything else. Its not as important to constantly switch legends off cooldown like vindicator, but if youre going to camp 1 legend more then it should definitely be dragon since this is where most of your valuable boons come from. If youre in centaur stance and have heaps of excess energy its not a huge deal to just "waste" it and swap back to dragon. Ideally you can just quickly burn some energy with the centaur utility or the elite skill which eats up a lot of energy before swapping.
      I almost never swap to staff with the level 3 variant, the healing and condi clense that it has can just be accessed from centauar stance utility, and you lose a lot of might by not using the scepter. so I only swap to staff for last resort emergency CC if all my other CC isnt enough.
      Another thing to keep in mind is even though there is a basic rotation to go through, healing is not quite the same as DPS rotations where you ideally want to be hitting the exact same buttons as fast as possible all the time, its more about just keeping the essential boons on your party, then doing some on demand extra healing or condi clense etc. when required.
      Also if you really dont feel like you need the extra energy from the charged mists trait, you can swap it to song of the mists instead, it might be better value if youre not making use of the extra energy.
      and you shouldnt have a qdps herald in your subgroup if youre quick heal herald since that would be 2 sources of quickness in the 1 sub, you'd need an alacrity dps instead :)

    • @azn2194
      @azn2194 3 месяца назад +1

      @@ieatyoulol Amazing insight thank you so much!!! Especially with the weapon rotation makes more sense to use the staff in a low intensity setting or feeling lazy at times unless for CC like you mentioned :D helps keeping things more streamlined that way. One thing I did notice is that if you end up using all the energy say from proc'ing a skill that uses the remaining leftover while it's over 10, the mist trait still works while the energy regens quickly back up from 0. So it may be better to squeeze the last bit than having to wait it tick down and wait for it to be between 0-10. Not sure if this is a good way to go about it but other readers may find it helpful if you find yourself in a similar situation starting out!
      Again thank you for such a detailed video and replies, amazing content and hope to continuing seeing more!

  • @connorcavasher6765
    @connorcavasher6765 8 месяцев назад +1

    If I'm using my main weapon set but I have a weapon-swap sigil on my 2nd set, will it proc when I swap legends? Or do I have to have the 2nd set equipped in order for the legend swap to trigger the sigil?
    Also, if you ever come up with a good build that uses Replenishing Despair, I'd be curious. I keep wanting to make it work somehow

    • @ieatyoulol
      @ieatyoulol  8 месяцев назад +1

      oo thats a good question, i wasnt sure so I just tested it out and looks like no. legend swapping does not trigger swap sigils if they are not your active weapon set.
      and wow what an interesting trait. I wasnt even aware of it, I guess because the only time really that youre using the corruption line is for a condition damage based build, and both of the other 2 traits that replenishing despair competes with are really strong. one makes your main damaging condition do even more damage and the other is so good for sustain on a condi build. But that is truely a very unique and interesting trait and I feel like its gonna stay in the back of my mind from now on lol thanks for that

  • @MrLuckymica

    with 100% boon duration activating energy expulsion gives 10sec of 3 stab. when i play it in fractals, i mostly use it right after swaping to centaur then resummon it, try to preserver energy (you probably still have all other important boons up) and then activate tranquil with f2 and use it again before switching back to herald. with that your team have stab most of the time. only problem is, stab is around tablet and it's only 240 area (anet increase it for pve pls :D )

    • @ieatyoulol
      @ieatyoulol  8 месяцев назад

      hell yea, it can be surprisingly good for stab, itll never be as good as dwarf stance but even if im not gonna be taking massive pressure I often still just take centaur stance cos I like it lol. I like moving around the tablet and just bursting everyone to full health with 1 button

    Does the scepter 3 tether pulse boons? Who takes priority on a tether target beginning of fight?

    • @ieatyoulol
      @ieatyoulol  8 месяцев назад +2

      yes! it pulses offensive boons when you tether to an ally with additional boons and barrier once detonated, and if you tether to an enemy it damages and pulses offensive conditions onto the enemy, with more applied when detonated. At 26:19 the skill tooltip is on screen if u want to read it.
      At the beginning of a fight it really doesnt matter which ally you tether to. Perhaps an argument could be made for tethering to the boonDPS in your subgroup just so when you detonate it and it teleports you to that ally, it is the other important boon provider in your subgroup so all the boons are being pulsed from the 1 spot to help stacking.

      @ieatyoulol  8 месяцев назад +2

      for sure! once you get the basic roation in muscle memory then you can really start being fully reactive to the fight and thats when it really becomes powerful. I think it's a very viable other option, I'm not sure which one would technically result in a higher healing output, but for me with the stats I go with, I have no problem with the amount of healing power I have and I feel like I can keep everyone alive through pretty much any non 1shot mechanic. plus the flock relic actually does a bit of heals if they are not full health, then the excess is converted to barrier. so nothing goes to waste. maybe if youre going with some other stats with less healing power or are going for a more passive playstyle maximizing your passive healing output dwayna relic could be better. definitely give both a go if you can and see which one you like better!
