- Regrooving is a process in which grooves in a tire are re-cut, using a hand-held tool, (in my video I am using a heated tire groover) to a deeper level to restore up to 5mm of tread depth.
Regrooving is a practice that unlocks additional service life to truck tires and can provide up to 30% extra mileage.
The end result of regrooving is affected by the quality of the new tire and the skill of the regrooving technician.
From my garage I'll show you how to repair medium to heavy-duty trucks and trailers, including maintenance, air brakes, tires, driveline, steering and suspension, and overhaul and engine rebuilds.
I will also be posting videos where:
-You will see how I resolve truck and trailer related issues, steering, transmission, rear end etc.
-I'll repair components such as doors, floors and side panels.
-I perform general or routine welding.
Hope you enjoy!!!

This should be standard and then recapped to save the environment and money.
We know because it saves money and therefore reduces manufacturer money. That is why they don't push and support this on road cars.
It is all about profits and taxes, money.
If things don't make sense ethically, moraly or environmentally etc. It would usually make perfect sense when viewed financially.
Did I just hear a bomb dropping from sky?
what machine is being used here?
How much for your tool regroving?
From what I understand, grooving a tire all the way thru to the outer edge will create a noisy tire. Don't know if this particular tire had the groove open to the outer edge, but that's what is being done.
I did this shit for 5 years, we always followed the pattern for the tire so if it needed outer edges cut, cut they were
Grooving to the outer edges allows water to escape to the sides reducing aqua planing and safety.
Hence on car tyres they almost have cuts to the edge.
I guess they don't know the difference between vertical and horizontal.
Can the tire after being regroove be vulcanized (retread)?
Of course.No problem!
@@trucktrailerrepair5910 ok thank you
Ab ye kitna chal km skta
Is this safe? I feel like this might not be the best idea lol
If the tire on sidewall states its regroovable, then yes you can regroove them. But usually only truck tires and commercial tires. But that regroover he is using to regroove is $600.
@@ChiefManny1 How many times could a tire be regrooved? I would imagine after a certain point it becomes a danger to keep driving on
It seems all you’re doing is making it thinner :/
Can you imagine doing that on your passenger car or light truck tire? How safe will you feel?
@@qzumacademy9974 A passenger car has nothing left at this point, just nylon and steel beneath.
It can only be done when the tire is marked 'regrooveable'. Never ever do this on a normal tire! And even if it is a regrooveable tire always check you have enough rubber left on the casing of the tire. If you don't you'll damage the integrity of the tire and end up with a regooved but unsafe tire.
@@pecheur1951 no shit
Usually only truck and comericial tires.
